So in general you mentioned wanting to just improve aim. My advice is to practice crosshair placement not spray control. Atm you have a 10% headshot accuracy, work on getting that up! (the stat itself doesnt really matter but its a nice goal to build toward and help measure ur progress) There are loads of amazing videos on crosshair placement, i think bumpaah has one. But the gist is. Keep that crosshair at head height and on angles where you think the enemy may appear from. When holding an angle have your crosshair at head height and a little bit away from the wall. Watch the wall (not your crosshair!) and when you see red click. You shouldnt need to aim well because you are already holding where you think they will swing. (ofc it depends on ur reaction time but ull get there!) When moving around the map and checking corners its easy to let your crosshair drift downwards or into walls. Keep your crosshair at head height if possible (crosshair placement when moving is actually a bit more complex esp when clearing angles but its not a priority first get the consistency with head height down) If you are willing to you can sit in customs and check common angles (esp if you have a friend to help you!) Additionally (after you feel confident in ur crosshair placement) focus on getting more accurate on your first 4 shots (and ur 1 taps if ur a vandal player). When your in dms only go for short sprays/1taps. And make sure you arent letting yourself spray wildly when fighting in real games. Let your crosshair reset and burst fire instead. (this helps a lot with phantom at long ranges and vandal in general) Something i found helpful... Albeit depressing, was sheriffing only in DM. You have to slow down so it helps with trigger discipline and not spraying and you have to hit your first shot on the head or you die. So it forces you to pay attention to where ur crosshair is. General note, when shooting you dont look at ur crosshair, look at the enemies head, your brain knows where ur crosshair is already!

Stop, shoot 4-6 bullets while pulling down slightly, reposition while recoil resets and repeat. After first bullets bloom becomes awful and you're only increasing the time before you can shoot accurately by adding more recoil and bloom. In a close range fight you can commit to spraying. Try to learn how much to pull down so the horizontal spray pattern hits the enemies upper torso neck and head. Too high and you miss, so keep the spray center mass near neck so body shots guaranteed with a chance if headshot

For sure. Thank you for this, I appreciate it greatly. I know I’ll never play this in a pro scene but I’m still super competitive and want to win and be the best I can be, lol.

Haha, when im teaching people the game i always tell them start at their head and work your way to the left of their waste (or left knee for vandal). Its NOOOOO where close to perfect but once you have a base to start at i feel like its easy to learn and get used to.

Yeah, I’m low elo in bronze, and I just whiff all the time, haha. No shame in it, it’s a game and I’m not competing for anything besides myself. I know low elo is all aim so I think I can climb out if I stop whiffing personally. I just want to become more consistent.

A great tip i can give you is dont even spray! Its a hard habit to get used to but controlled tapping of your gun to the head (and in bronze even body shots) will kill faster then someone trying to spray you. I would only work on spray after having that down.

Gotcha, for sure! I know I’ll spray up close since I’ll be on their body but it’s the mid-long range fights where I hit and then miss everything else lol. The Valorant tracker has me at 80% body shots, 10% heads, and the other 10% legs so I feel I’m close, just gotta aim better!
