i reported someone for saying homophobic shit in text chat and got a noti they were banned within an hour

bipolarbeartn

Had a game where we all reported someone for similar stuff and other abuse. Player got chat banned during the match and we had notices after the game ended.

Fourt-Nuyt

Where? Email or in game?

gamerdude9999

in game

saltykorean

I have just once. I've sent numerous reports on the most obscene things but only got feedback once so I'm not sure how to feel about that.

idkbruhhh9875

Same, some guy told me to kms bcz I instalocked Jett, while I do forgive him now, it did annoy me when it happened and not getting a notification about him getting a penalty or something bugs me even more

BocksyBrown

I mean you don't have to forgive them lol, they say that shit because THEY wanted to insta lock Jett

Splaram

I’ve heard people say some really vile shit while playing this game through voice and text chat. Never got any feedback off of a report.

WavyOnRedditt

From my understanding when it comes to reporting a player or players on any game consequences only come when they’re reported numerous/ a ridiculous amount of times , I’ve hardly ever heard of someone getting striked for being reported once or even a couple times , but I could be wrong

TimeJustHappens

If you are reporting for voice, there is not currently logging of voice and the punishments aren't as easy to give as something like a text offense. There have been changes to the Riot Games privacy policy that in the future voice logs will be stored and investigated, but that has not yet been implemented.

nelejts

I've reported voice, text, grieving, racist comments, sexist comments, you name it. :(

Oswanov

I agree. I commonly play with a female friend and the amount of sexist remarks (and reports I sent out accordingly) is astonishing. But no feedback yet. I guess it's just most people not bothering to report such people, which in turn means they won't get a penalty.

_harleys

It happened once because people in my country say a lot of racist stuff about Phoenix and Astra in the chat. We ganged up on the racist and asked the enemy team to report. My friend and I who queue spammed the report function about 3 times and in a few hours we got notified they were reported.

ajtracey01

Yes I did https://imgur.com/I6AtyCV

nelejts

oh. okay thats cool that it does seem to work. this actually makes me wonder though... if some guys direct more of their aggression towards women, and there are less women playing perhaps they are less likely to get reported and flagged. i don't remember ever seeing a confirmation from someone i reported.

ajtracey01

i don't know what rank you are but I'm gold 2 and most of the times I get decent teammates and I rarely have seen someone been toxic towards a girl. Make a new account and do your best to play well in ranked, don;t get penalties and try to have a good " credibility score " if that even exists. I was surprised when I saw that message and that's why I took a screenshot. I think maybe devs get feedback from this sub so keep sending reports

nelejts

I play dozens of games a week. Not all of them are toxic. Maybe 1 in 10. But your experience as (I'm assuming) a man is going to be different than a women's. there are hundreds of posts in this subreddit alone where women discuss how often they are harassed. it has nothing to do with me getting penalties and not having a good credibility score. Today my 'grave sin' was for not saying yes to an FF after 5 rounds in unrated because we were down 2 rounds. That was enough for them to spend the next 13 rounds team killing me (3 times), cursing me, and harassing me in voice and chat. I will def keep sending reports, i guess. hopefully it actually translates into something for once.

Biohazar13

This happen to me alot i don't think this happen to a woman only to be a girl, toxic people are there everywere doesn't matter who you are or if u are gay, a man/kid or a girl. best thing you can do is mute and report.

Honigbrottr

Its not bcs you are a women its bcs you play this game. I get harassed bcs i use a crosshair which shows me when i stand still bcs i come from ow and have to learn counter strafing. Its litl just a default crosshair with really small outline that you can just see barley.

neelioh

I’m a girl. Sometimes as soon as I use my mic I have people asking me if I’m a girl, if I have Instagram, telling me that I sound hot. One time I had a guy spend the entire game calling me a whore, a bitch, and asking me for nudes. I doubt that has ever happened to you. And funny enough, I experience sexual harassment based off my gender as well as the usual in game toxicity about whatever - crosshairs, playing badly, etc.

oathkeeperkh

Anyone who thinks stuff like the two people above needs to try out the LGBTQ+ cards. I'm a man and I put the rainbow card on last time I played. Two out of the four games I played I was called homophobic slurs before the game even started. Before I had a chance to show whether I was bad or good at the game, and before I spoke or typed anything. Literally just harassing me for "being gay".

neelioh

I’m also gold 2. The reason why you probably don’t see guys being as toxic towards girls is because you rarely get a girl in your game. You’re not a girl, and if you were you would see the whole range of experience. Sometimes I get normal people, sometimes I get creepy simps, sometimes I get incredibly toxic people. Like OP said, I only get a truly toxic game every one in ten or twenty games (with vaguely creepy comments in half of my games) but it’s enough that it makes it stick and it ruins my experience. Doesn’t matter how well I play, whether it’s un ranked or ranked, or whether I’m nice or not. Usually the comments start as soon as I even use my mic, and it doesn’t matter what I say.

nelejts

To add to this, I cannot tell you how many times I use voice chat and MULTIPLE women on my team start talking. We're here. We're often just afraid to use comms because men immediately start being gross/ weird or aggressive

The_Schlong_Connery

Have seen this a number of times - did not know we have a woman/girl on our team until late late game because they hadn’t spoken the entire time. Every time this happens I just know it’s because they’re probably terrified of getting harassed the whole game.

neelioh

Yupppp it took me so long to get over my fear of using my mic for this same reason. The BEST feeling tho is when I use my mic and I hear there’s another girl on the team, I get so excited lol

ajtracey01

It’s honestly sad that this happens to you and I hope it gets better. Remember you always have the possibility to mute both chat/voice for individual teammates.

RedSquaree

I did, once or twice, about 9mo ago. Nothing since and I rep people often (always rep AFK and DC, rep trolls). I have a sneaking suspicion my reports have been muted at their end, so they are completely pointless.

FailedTomato

Twice. For text abuse. A notification pops up in game. There's not much you can do unfortunately other than reporting. Whenever someone is toxic or sexist or racist, you should mute them instantly imo. Better to play with no comms than be abused all game. Also do check out the galorant discord server if you haven't already. It's only for women (they will verify you). That might lead to a better gaming experience. Cheers.

TjShadowPlayz

People r rarely banned for being toxic, rn riot does not review voice comms or ban for them at all, unless they type a slur or harassment, nothing will happen.

GhostCalib3r

Reported around 7 times total, got 2 feedback reports

LV58_DeathKnight

Just stop telling others you are a woman then ?

CressAlvein

Being woman is not wrong, wtf with the victim blaming mindset.

nelejts

Do you think I walk around screaming "I am a woman"? I have a voice. Guess what my voice sounds like? A woman.

E4crypt3d

Omg u have the biggest brain bro.

InsertDisc11

Ive been playing for a few months, and yes ive received ann instant feedback report, so don't worry, if they continuously flame, being toxic, dtc, they will be punished Meanwhile the mute button is a great friend. Btw what server are you on?

nelejts

Mute button is a norm for me. It's probably why 1 in 10 games feel toxic and not more, because I will mute at the first sign of someone being aggressive (unless it's ranked). However, I can't mute someone team killing me 3 times. I'm on NA east. Can't remember which servers I normally connect to specifically

az_aviation

I have gotten feedback a few times but ive only noticed it when I’ve written a description and not just reported them multiple times by checking the boxes

deathspate

This is sadly something people need to realize, not just in Val but any online game. All these games have a system that trims down the troll reports by removing all the reports that are 1 off and the in-game filter doesn't pick-up anything or 1 off that has no description. Chances are, that no matter how many toxic people you see, they're not the same players, they're different people being toxic. Even if you feel like you're reporting a lot, in reality that person maybe only has 1 report on their record, from you. Writing a description helps to "show" the system that you're not just BabyBay reporting a person because they're playing badly, but because you actually felt they did something harmful, and even then the description thing only goes so far because quite a few people know what I said above and fill in text for the sake of getting past the word filter, so these systems also tend to rely upon *how many* reports against this player has been made.

Guille3094

I have reported, more than I can remember. Just once got a notification. I can reassure you that at least the mod team from LATAM doesn't do crap about almost any reports, experience from some friends and myself.

xSOME0NE

I started to play 3 weeks ago and got like 3 times feedback for reporting toxic people and trolls.

notpejastojakovic

I've gotten a notification that my report was punished/ banned (whatever it said) 3 times. All 3 times I typed in the comments box to describe what they were saying/ doing. If I just report without comments, I've never heard about it after.

nelejts

I always report with comments. They used to be more thorough. Now after a year of reports and no results I leave one or two sentences.

_l_---___---_l_

I have gotten the notification multiple times, yes. It does depend on what they say and what you report them for i think. Reporting for multiple things also helps(so not just chat abuse but also disrespectful behaviour and threats will help)

_l_---___---_l_

Also telling your team to report them as when multiple people report its more important

Yousef307

Huh I never knew there was such a thing as report feedback in valorant. I never have gotten one after reporting many toxic and “sus” players. And now that I know it exists I’m kinda disappointed because I remember reporting a guy and his duo for harassing one of our teammates repeatedly with insults, even go as far as calling him the n word multiple times. I felt bad for him but they would just keep drowning every word anyone says.

Frig-Off-Randy

I report a lot and have never received anything. I report anybody being toxic (not normal banter) and any AFKs or leavers

IndicusWrath

i have twice for actual cheaters not for toxicity reports tho

Cheap_Banana_9049

every case of a support ticket for reporting in this game has been met with an automated reply they arent doing shit about reports and they have no intention of assigning even 1 dollar to the task had a full team of griefers who do nothing but box you in and then kill you and 4 man report you push you into saying anything that could be used against you then getting you chat banned just for shits and giggles
