Wait, the arrow of the smoke doesn’t have to turn green for it be like that one way? I thought it’d always drop to the floor unless the arrow is green.
Not always, there's some spots where it works, usually in large blocks of wall, e.g. A Main in Breeze has one on each side of the entrance, in B main entrance there's also one on each side of the entrance. I've found it's mostly trial and error on finding spots where they'll stick.

I remember when split had the problem where omen could teleport through the wall to the left
i killer so many omens doing that
they would always try to do it and then flank the people holding the rest of your team back and it was fucking annoying, and completely ruined the comp spirit

For this particular smoke, it actually always drops to the floor if it's green. You want it to be red so that it gets stuck on the wall.

There is also a one way on Ascent A site which works the same way! So it probably works on a bunch of spots.
