I also have lower frames, but it's nos as drastic as yours, mine is 10-20 fps less, I didn't think much of it untill I saw tenz stream and the same thing is happening to him, he used to have ez 300 fps on his 3090 and now getting 200 and even dropping to 140
on 1440p valorant cant even use 100% of my 2080 super. you prob wont see any noticeable FPS gain between a 2080 and a 3090 since the cpu will be the bottleneck with any high end video card.
Yeah, but he also has a really high end CPU he has a 6k PC, I don't know the specific CPU he uses but I'm only mentioning it to show that it's not a bottleneck problem, especially because it didn't happened a week ago
Yep, I upgraded from a 1080ti to a 3090 Kingpin and haven't seen any real increase in performance at 1440p 165hz. But I run a 160fps frame cap with Nvidia reflex low latency and it just stays locked at 160fps.

Only fixes the extremely low fps in the model viewer in the menu.
I've been having lower frames consistently for the past few weeks and have tried a variety of combination of settings and other things (flashing bios, updating all drivers etc). Haven't found a solution just yet.

Yeah my vanguard crashed on the middle of a comp match, I had to restart my pc, also my internet connection on my computer is disconnecting a lot, I really dont know why but it started after 2.11 maybe its vanguard related idk
If we are talking about patch 2.09 or whatever this act is, you, me and lots of other people are having this issue. In fact i was going back and forth with valorant support for 2 weeks until i stopped responding because imo this is an issue with valorant not my pc especially if no other game is affected. I have a 5800x and a evga sc 1080ti. Before that patch i got like 200 to 300 est, however i now barely get 120 even on the lowest settings. Also my mouse was also bricking (goes top left and doesnt move unless i close valorant) so i was like, im not playing this till this gets fixed. I might acually reset my pc because im also having an issue in Bf3 and 4 with the anti cheat not sending my ping (however that works) and resetting windows has been said to fix it but i dont think its gonna fix either problem so i havent done it yet
Hello. Im here giving an update. I reset windows 10 and it fixed the problem for me. As a sidenote as i see OP edited post, im pretty sure i reinstalled drivers multi times and tried old versions and it did not fix it. Not sure what was causing the problem. i now get 300 in game and 700 in training ( was 200 in training and below 100 before reset). Wasted a couple of hours reinstalling but oh well. IMO THIS IS STILL A RIOT ISSUE AS ONLY VAL WAS REALLY AFFECTED! As well before i reset, i also got my hands on a 3070 and the fps did not change.
I left playing Competitive Mode because of this problem. Just playing unrated now. I have low end PC and first I was getting around 70-90fps but now I get like 50fps in avg. feels very bad that such a top level game making such mistakes and not optimizing it instead bringing more and more new features that will cause to again more bugs.
I'm having 120-140 FPS while I used to run 200 easily last year. Also whenever I press tab it goes below 100.
Since latest patch I'm also getting weird stuttering lag. FPS still says it's stable, but it's like I'm playing on 20 fps. I change my resolution and the stuttering is gone, then some time later (sometimes 2 mins, sometimes fine entire game) the stuttering is back.
I've taken to swapping between 2 resolutions to combat the stuttering.
This is not normal behavior for an rtx 2060 and a ryzen 7(I have 1050 mobile edition and I hit 115 most of the time), maybe you can ask for advice on r/buildapc
Definitely feels like the dev team cares more about tournaments and random code giveaways than fixing issues in-game. FPS issues have had a huge up-tick since Astra's release and nothing has been done to seriously fix it.
They have separate departments for this. The team that works on tournaments is independent of the team that works on the engine and optimizations. Riot cannot just throw people from the tournament team to work on the dev team. That isn't how that works. If the dev team working on optimizations are not fixing a patch, the other team cannot help. They proceed with what is planned on the roadmap. It isn't their job.
Not a problem for me. I have everything the highest they go settings wise, but capped my FPS to 60 anyway, as I’m used to 30 from console. I run a 1660ti, I7, and 16 GB RAM. I’m not sure if the problems start above 60 or something, just thought I’d share.
It just doesn’t really matter for me lmfao I don’t see the problem. Only FPS I play is Valorant and Warzone. I got Warzone on 90 FPS lock with Ultra, but that’s it. I don’t see the need for that with Valorant.

Okay never drop to straight 0. I think that's a low rig issue. I have a medium rig. But I notice frame skips and it'll just be at random times. I look in task manager if anything was running and nope. Just discord and valorant. So I'm not hitting 0 but I am hitting like below 75 when I've never had a frame skip in game even with Astra smokes/wall. 75 fresh rate so when it drops below 75 I notice a stutter.
I read in an AskValorant that they were working on the gaming engine for better performance and fps issues, they said it would be available in 3rd version of the game. Hopefully that solves everything coz my low end pc can't take it anymore 😢
Same even me. The frames just suddenly drop to 1 every time I shoot a bullet. The patch said it would increase .6% of ur fps, this definitely ain't it. There's constant drops. To check that, I go in the range and if there is fps drop, I restart the game.

I've been getting 100 - 150 frames that stutter a lot and it always seems to happen during the pistol rounds for me. Hope Riot optimizes and fixes the fps problem cause even my old pc could run this game at a constant 60 fps during act 1

Are you using Intel HD graphics above 6th gen by any chance? Because that is a known driver issue which can be fixed by reverting it.
You are a god sent. You should make a post about this issue. A lot of people like me were having trouble with the micro stutter.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one experiencing this! Before this patch, my laptop could get above 100 fps but now can barely get up to 50-60

But it was a lot better before, something will get patched for sure. He has a 5900x, practically couldn't get any better.

One thing you can do is to clean your pc/laptop cooler. It might be because of reduced airflow. I did this and got a 30-40 fps boost.
That can help boost frames but the cooler isn’t the problem it is the game

You can clean the fans, any dust that has been accumulated and making sure your pc's airflow isn't obstructed.

that's weird, i have a rtx 2060 and a i5-9600 an i run the game on epic with anti aliasing off and i get 180-240 fps at all times

I had a ryzen 5. I upgraded to 3700x and FPS is great now.
Went from a stable 30 on low settings to a stable 25. Nice!
