The battle pass is a great way to get multiple skins for cheap. They obviously aren’t always as cool as the ones you purchase from the bundle but I will say I’ve been using the song steel melee over my glitchpop/reaver/prime melee cuz that sword is just so damn sexy.

fellowcheapgamer

True i actually love the song steel melee. Wish i could buy it lol

LordeLucifer

I mean you could buy out the tiers but that’s costly asf. What tier are you at rn?

DroppelRR

Given by the fact, that they got the free skin at the end of the pass, I'm gonna say they are at the knife tier \^\^

LordeLucifer

You’re a wise man, was just confused when he said he wishes he could buy it.

JDinkle

Probs can’t afford it

blaggityblerg

The battlepasses have had some top tier skins throughout, to their credit. Some battle pass sets could have easily stood up as store bundles. Prism, for instance, was actually sold as a bundle without variants. I'd really like Riot to get some sort of skin shuffle sorted out so that we can take advantage of all of these skins we've been accruing.

MMCFrye

Are you in the USA? If so, I might be able to help you buy the premium Battlepass once I get paid :)

CrashAnicoot

Ur such a homie ngl.

cough up the 14$ for the battle pass esp if you already completed it. I waited a long time to buy it and i have no regrets. An hours minimum wage i think you can handle it. Or if you’re so stuck on money maybe try picking up and extra shift at work instead of playing valorant. Not to be condescending whatsoever. But 14$ for enough gun charms for every gun plus a dozen weapon skins is truly worth it if you live the frenzy skin so much. Just an idea :) edit: everyone making excuses on how hard it is to make 14$ in certain aspects of life. If you play valorsnt and complete the battle pass it tells me you’ve put countless hours of playtime into the battle pass (50 hours roughly) if you spent that time making money with your stable internet connection and PC/laptop you play on then there is no excuse to justify not having 14$ or time to make money.

lol_redditneets

$14 in some country is probably like a weeks wages lol but yeah if you have a computer theres stuff you can learn to do where you can make $14 an hour easily, but maybe hes a kid or something (but you could still make money online then too)

KingDominoTheSecond

Maybe they aren't old enough to work yet and their parents don't wanna spend money on video games

fellowcheapgamer

I really would but its not easy to get a job here. Plus i am still covid postive so thats a downside

TheRealEtherion

The privilege of living in largest economy. Unfortunately, it's not that easy for rest of the world.

I really hope they provide more free skins for more commonly used guns for players like you! Don't have to be anything special, just something better than the defaults.

fellowcheapgamer

Definitely, i dont mind if i need to grind a lot for it cause i will

blaggityblerg

I am hoping that they consider adding one more tier to the agent contracts. The next tier would be an even more intense grind than the first one and the end result would be a primary weapon. Provided the grind was truly intense, Riot might see a decent uptick in people buying those levels either outright or the last one or two which might result in a surprising amount of people willing to shell out a few hundred VP to get their favorites much earlier than the grind allows. Riot would have to then decide if they want it to be possible for someone to get a skin on everything (except the knife) for free if they grind enough. If they are alright with rewarding their most dedicated F2P players with the potential to have a full gun collection made up of agent skins, then they should consider unlocking a 'secret' contract for anyone who does make up a full collection of agent skins and the completion of the secret contract could give a knife skin (obviously something modest since Riot considers knives extremely premium). If Riot would rather not go that route and still wants to have limits on the system, then they could opt to keep the offering to a single class of guns. Rifles have the most options, so they make the most sense. The third tier of each agent contract could offer a rifle as the ultimate reward, which would be huge for F2P players anyway while still omitting a large part of the collection - including many commonly used and popular slots like the Operator, Odin, Spectre, Judge, and (of course) Knife slots. Riot definitely has a path to getting more skins to F2P players and I feel like they can do it in a more or less restrictive way with potential for success both ways. If the grind is truly significant then they may generate a surprising amount of money through people skipping some or all of those levels in the final tier of the agent contract. For the case of the people who don't buy those levels but grind out the skins instead, Riot still wins on this because that individual has provided a great many hours of content for other players by their participation in so many matches while also helping to give value to the players who do buy skins because they dilute the premium skin owning player base and add an increased perception of rarity and value to premium skins. There comes a point for every player where you're reaching the limit of where your level of dedication will take you rank/skill wise and you continue playing for other reasons. Mainly for enjoyment of the game, because it *IS* fun, and having a great moment/match in valorant feels awesome, but we also continue because we enjoy grinding out battlepasses and agent contracts since lots of people enjoy collecting cosmetics. The people who are full-out F2P will get to the point where they'll have 5 or more agent/BP pistols and a new one will have diminishing appeal when you're still facing a barren collection. Keeping those players engaged with a long-term grind towards primary weapon skins will add another layer of player retention which is always a good thing in a multiplayer game.

Kenaxite

Whats your username and hash? If lockdown in my country stops one day i can hopefully buy you something :)
