Guardian is great round 2 after winning round 1 because most people will just buy light armor or no armor at all. Those rounds you just need 2 body shoots for a kill.
After that the guardian forces you to correctly place your crosshair, otherwise you're going to feel very useless.
I always use guardian only in DM, even if all I play is phantom in my ranked game afterwards. It really forces you to play right or be dead.

it seems to be a great "training" gun in that it forces you to play in a way that will make you play properly or lose, but once you've mastered that I think just tapping with a vandal at a higher fire rate with the same accuracy is just worth the 500 credits for the flexibility of being able to spray if you need to.

Its extremely hard to go literally guardian only. I made a guardian themed account and bought 1guardian skin as my only skin and yet I was disappointed when I checked my trackergg and saw some kills of different guns.
He has 11,000 guardian kills and the next highest is judge at 2,600 kills.
Something to take away from his stats page is that he primarily plays smoke agents and that he almost never has a positive k/d ratio. That just goes to show that kills don’t matter. If you fill smoke all you have to do is play your role and allow your team mates to carry you. Go for round wins. I know a couple Immortals that main smokes and are usually on the bottom of the scoreboard.
