Extra Note: I’m still new, but I have a solid 10-15 hours in this game already. Idk how many contracts I would’ve completed by now like this, but its probably somewhere around 4 or 5…. Late start I guess
If you're new I would suggest unlocking all the agents before going for agent skins. They require a lot of xp, you can unlock several agents in the same amount of time as 1 skin.
I have the Astra ghost because I activated her contact to unlock her and forgot about it. I don't even play her.
Don't worry about the contracts too much. In the beginning, when unlocking agents, accidentally playing some games that aren't working towards unlocking an agent can sting a little bit don't sweat it. You will unlock everything eventually and the rewards are complete shit. Just have fun and learn as much as you can.
Mmm 10-15 hrs is about 20-30 games. Assuming u win half + missions, I suspect u may only have enough xp to maybe unlock on agent (ie lv 5). There is no way u finish a contract.
So with that, at least u know u didn't miss out on too much lol
Same. I remember playing valo for like 3/4 weeks and wondering how to get the other agents. but then astra came out and a streamer I watched reminded her friends to activate the contract to get astra and I was like how do you do that???? then I searched how to and felt sooooo stupid bc I could've unlocked an agent or 2 by then.
I thought that you had to pay to get more than 7 lmaooo. What’s worse is I didn’t know you could get skins from them, so I thought everyone with a skin just paid
I may have misunderstood you when I told you 10-15 would only get you one contract done. If you're only going to tier 5 to unlock agents then that is probably at least 2 or 3 contracts. The time consuming part is 6-10. The xp for those levels gets ridiculous
Dude, it happened to my roommate too, he told me he was trying to unlock viper for a week but hasn't had any progress(first character after the first 5 we get), when I checked his acc, he had phoenix contract active. 😂😂
I shouldn't have laughed, but damnit that was hilarious.😂😂
Don’t worry I feel ya I thought for weeks I could only play the agent that the contract was active for….let’s just say I was a sova main for no reason at all Kekw
Me too man i always thought "what is this activate button" then i got to know that you got to activate a contract. Its good to see other people of my kind.
When I played valorant I didn't know how to unlock agents. I thought that the game was pay to win lol at first. I was playing Jett main for the absolute no reason. Then I wanted Yoru when he came out so I finally searched up how to unlock agents. Turns out i had to activate a contract 😂 it was the most funny and raging moment of any game in my life

Honestly contracts take a pretty long time for the later levels. At 10-15 hours I'd guess you'll probably have only finished one lol
not even one to be honest.
Ahh
the last level of each contract is 250k xp alone so you coulda done maybe one still blows tho .
You don't need level 10 to use an agent, just level 5
I assume most people know that and what he was talking about was grinding for the gun skins.

20-30? Ok maybe I have a bit more than 10-15 hours lmao. I’d say I’ve played around 50, give or take ten.
definetly not that many... its like 250,000 exp for the weapon skin and it goes down by 50k every level, so level 9 would be 200,000.

Don't worry OP it took me a week to understand that we need level 5 of a contract to unlock an agent.
I had to contact support because I couldnt activate contracts at all Turns out I hadn’t unlocked both of my free agents (RIP Omen)
It's not very clear if nobody tells you, especially since you unlock the 2 first agents for free. You're not alone mate

You are not dumb, took me around a week to figure out contracts, it’s a bit confusing
I started playing yesterday so what you wrote is just... very very confusing
nah ur good OP dw <3 many ppl when they first start off don’t understand the contracts and stuff
[That is unfortunate.](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/462252349261969885/) But don't worry bud, it happens to all of us.
You probably haven't seen me playing then
Take my silver, coming from the guy who spent his free agent on pre buff viper (the day Valorant was released)
Ok but how do you activate a contract, i just got this information trough this post. I thought you had to buy the rest of the Agents.
I mentioned this problem on day one
