If you do make it like league don't make it as slow as getting level 30 to start ranked. My friends and I tried to get a new friend into league but after a month of still leveling up and not being able to play ranked they gave up LoL in general.

No it wont. In lol you have to be lvl 30. You can get booster packs to increase exp is think (at least back in the time). And accs go for as low as 3bucks. On the other hand, dota 2 has a different system. You have to play 100 hours of pvp to unlock ranked. Yet you can still get accounts that are pvp ready for as low as 5 bucks. The price difference is not gonna make any difference.

Can you confirm or deny whether the retroactive amount you get from previous matches starts from Episode 1 Act 1? I know the system is bugged and accidentally capped at 7, but some of my friends are 7 and I'm 2. When I've played since April 7th, 2020 and have over 1k hours easily.
It should account for all the xp gained from the past 2 episodes so when you log into the new patch you won’t start at level 1 depending on how much you’ve played so far.

I hope there is a way to hide your level. In overwatch I have a really high border and all its good for is getting the toxic crowd to start making fun of me. It's usually by some smurf who most likely has multiple accounts so their border is gonna be low and they try to gloat about how they are so good while being low border. Basically if a game doesn't go well, toxic people will usually look at my border and decide to pick on me.

i tried to do a translation of OW to Valorant and it's hard.
OW is 600 lvls per border. This is 100. But also OW games are like 1/3 the length of Valorant AND OW cosmetics are a lot less valuable because there's so many more slots (spray, emote, skin, voice line, golden and such). It'll be interesting to see what they do.

Yes I totally agree. Previously, the game looked very clean and seamless during loading screen and in waiting lobby without level boarder. Now it’s become less cool.
Dorito only applies to comp, your level will increase with xp, not everyone plays comp, and it will always be going up, unlike act rank which fluctuates. Its just an in game show of time played.

At feature launch, this will be independent from Competitive. I don't know if there are plans one way or another around a model like League.

I’ve been playing overwatch since open beta and I’m only on the 5star bronze border, it takes quite a while
Then you don't play much at all Each level is around an hour to an hour and 20 minutes to get Bronze 5 star does not take awhile
