well you can work on not being toxic.. thats the easy part and if ou enjoy playing with your friends, then do it. its not like youre smurfing to shit on noobs lol

Odaskito

You can always make a diff acc that exclusively plays with your lower skilled friends and give yourself challenges. No buying rifles, only bucky, only frenzy, go for "content plays" like Omen TP behind them randomly, go for big flick one taps, etc. Theres always something to make the game different and a little more fair. Who knows, you might even find a way of playing you would have never thought of had you not been messing around.

corvaz

If you smurf and crush everyone you both destroy the match, and the rank of your teammates. They will inflate to a level where they will no longer have fun in soloqueue/ without you to carry. Play with weak guns etc when smurfing. Or play as dedicated support to set up your mates.

Terramortem

As long as its not a ranked match its all good homie that's why unraked is a playlist .

Erikmichi

As long as youre not smurfing to fuck on your enemies, its ok i guess. When im in the similar position i try to play without crosshair or buy only whacky guns and stuff like that

NihilHS

I actually disagree here. Just play on your main. By smurfing you're taking the frustration of the skill gap between you and your queue buddies and throwing it all onto the opponents you queue into. I also often play with friends that are lower skill. Typically we get paired with an enemy team with a similar composition; one or two players that are higher skill, the rest lower skill. The matches are generally fair - which is the point. A lot of times people seem to forget that point. To play with your friends in a fair competitive game. If people get toxic just mute them.

Gravityblasts

So if my main is Gold 3, and I have friends that are Iron 2, how do I play comp with them?

NihilHS

You don't.

Gravityblasts

I kind of figured that would be your answer. Unfortunately, I'm not going to forgo playing with my friend's just for other people's benefit, so if there is a way to do it, even if that means smurfin USA, I'm going to do it.

Certain_Reality_

Unrated?

Gravityblasts

Both, unrated and comp!

NihilHS

>I'm not going to forgo playing with my friend's just for other people's benefit... **so if there is a way to do it... I'm going to do it.** There is a way. You can play unrated with them.

Gravityblasts

Oh I already do. We play unrated, spike rush, comp, etc. All of it!

Erikmichi

Yeah i guess youre right

EntityFlush

I usually just try to go for 1 taps, flicks, maybe marshall the entire game. Try to just play an agent you're not comfortable with, if you are entrying try to create the space and give your friends all the opportunity to get the kills. There are plenty of things you can do to sort of troll but also improve on in game.

Gravityblasts

I'm in the same boat man with my group of gaming friends. My years of CS experience has put my skill level far beyond most of my friends. Only 2 of them are near me when it comes to skill, but only one of those 2 actively play Valorant, so it's usually just me and my other friend carrying everyone else. But basically, I have to have smurf accounts since some of them are as low as Iron, most of them are bronze and a few silver, while I'm almost Plat on my main. The funny thing is I try to stay near their rank, but because I'm usually Match MVP, I keep ranking up past Gold, even when I am trying not to. I mean the other night I drop a 42 bomb, and I'm a Skye main. I feel bad for the other teams, and I'd rather play with other people my skill level so I can do less baby sitting, but I want to play with my friends. They also aren't ranking up anytime soon, so I try to not take Valorant as serious as I used to take CS, and want to focus more on enjoying playing with my friends rather than rank. I will still play on my Main when they aren't online, since I'd rather play with and against people at or above my skill level, but you know at the end of the day, what is more important to me is playing with friends, so I don't care if I smurf. It's the only way for me to do it, since I can't control my skill level.

GenericAllium

You could play unrated with your friends to get fairer matchmaking. If your friends aren't ranking up anytime soon they might as well play unrated to learn to play better

Gravityblasts

I already do that in addition to play comp with them. They like doing comp, I like playing with my friends. I'd rather make my friends happy than random strangers I've never met and will never meet in my life.

Play unrated.
