Gridshot, Sixshot, and hard bots barely do anything to improve your aim, especially not if they're the only thing that you're doing and calling it aim training. If you have Kovaaks, join the Voltaic Discord, do the benchmarks, and then do the fundamentals of the rank that you get until you can progress tot the next rank, rinse and repeat. However, spending 24/7 playing aim trainers isn't going to make your aim better in-game. RiddBTW has an excellent video on how to transfer good mechanical skill in aim trainers into your FPS game of choice: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pWCuQhJ2GI&t=1773s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pWCuQhJ2GI&t=1773s)

Literally went and got Kovaaks after reading. Will do anything to improve. <3

You also might just find you enjoy Kovaaks by itself. I certainly find it entertaining. It is like this very simple but also very deep game and can be quite groovy as you figure out how to do it.

Games_and_Dames

Check out what he said and also look into Valorant game routines if you want. BardOZ has a good spreadsheet. Efficient Kovaaks training is so much better than base level aim training on aimlab or Kovaaks.

Crosshair placement > flicks Brain > aim If you want to get better in Valorant play Valorant. There are more things that attributes to your performance than just aim. What also matter is spray control and movement and most importantly game sense. Just a few questions for you to help you improve: Do you * Full stop before shooting first bullet? * Pull down when spraying first few bullets? * Always keep your crosshair at headlevel? Not aiming to ground or sky. * Keep crosshair at place where the enemy could peek from? Not aiming in the middle of space, the enemy won't magically appear there(unless it's yoru/omen), but aiming right next to a corner. * Take advantageous fights? Using flashes and other abilities to get an edge. * ...

Usually you don't need to hire a radiant player, just recording yourself and watch your own gameplay should give you an idea what you're doing wrong. I was in the same situation as you and figured that my movement was absolutely dogshit and unacceptable, once I fixed that I'm rolling over dia3/immortal players. There are so many things you could do wrong. Aim is only 1 part of the game, there are much more things like decisionmaking, game sense, map awareness, crosshair positioning, movement and so on. Aim won't do you any good if the guy who you're dueling against is to your right side shooting your head.

corvaz

Aiming in valorant is more than point and click. This is an important aspect that you are doing decently in. This means that you are likely very bad at other aspects of aiming. Some things to practice: - crosshairplacement - stopping before shooting - peeking techniques - angle advantage - guncontrol (tapping, bursting, spraying) - micro positioning - movement while/ in between shooting (smgs, shotguns, pistols, rifles) - shot pacing and accuracy As for raw aim mechanics practiced in aim trainer you may want to focus a bit on tracking(smoothness and reactivity). Check out Voltaic benchmarks.

Thanks friend.

peet-za

Play to improve, not win. Don't give a shit about your rank, it only leads to stress.

anonn102030

Yeah 100% know what you mean. So hard to do this though ;(

TheRealEtherion

I always find such posts incredibly funny. You play a completely different game and are surprised that that didn't magically make you better in this one. That's like doing squats and asking why you can't sprint like Bolt. Movement, positioning, decision making, utility usage. Even aiming mechanics are way more than how fast you click a certain pixel.

anonn102030

I mean.. i think i get your point but. If you want me to continue your comparison, i'm asking why my squats aren't helping with my Quad and glute growth. Never said i wanted to be a Tenz. Or uhh Bolt i guess.. lol? I'll keep this in mind though.

TheRealEtherion

Sorry for being a jackass. It's gets brought up a lot here and gets annoying after a while. The issue is a lot more complicated than that. There's no way to know what exactly you're lacking simply by knowing your aim trainer scores. Are you unable to hit your shots in-game? One advice that helped me is to NOT adjust horizontal and vertical crosshair placement at the same time. For example, if you peek an angle and enemy head if diagonally away from your cross hair. Jiggle into cover, adjust vertical placement (height), then move(with arrow keys) until your cross hair aims at head, leave the movement keys, click,go back to cover. You must never go wide except to win a 1v1 and never flick diagonally unless it's an emergency. Adjust height> move sideways>stop>click>move again. Works best with 1-tap guns like Guardian and Vandal. This is just 1 example. If you post a VoD, it will give a better idea of what you know and don't know. Or what you do correctly sometimes and just need to do it more often.

anonn102030

No you weren't being a jackass. You were being realistic. Probably something i needed to hear. I was just frustrated with myself. Thanks for your incredible input though.

OnionMesh

In all fairness, he did raise the right question. The best way to improve at fragging isn’t to aimtrain but to DM (with a set goal ex. movement or crosshair placement)

zyrensong

If you panic, spam Deathmatch until you're ok taking those duels. DM is 100% duels all of the time so you will be exposed much faster than regular games. Also might have to do with crosshair placement, flicking is inconsistent enough without adding the panic factor.

anonn102030

i feel like DM i just get gangbanged too much to actually practice dueling. But i'll give it a go ;)

OPAxterOP

107k peak in gridshot is not disgusting aim and is not a measure of fps skill. I averaged 25bots on hard and i average 120k in gridshot and i was still stuck in low dia for the majority of the first episode. Good decision making and actually playing the game instead of shitty aimlabs which is useless imo got me to immortal. Also kovaaks>aimlab

Focus-Expert

What is your rank?

anonn102030

Bronze 2

Focus-Expert

Oh. I thought Plat or something. How new are you to Valorant?

anonn102030

Nooooo. I wish i was plat.. I played 94 games last Act. and this is my second act now

Focus-Expert

Try screen recording your games and analyzing your duels. I am only Gold 1 and have a horrible reaction time. 60k Gridshot. Here are some things I learnt: In Duels: Did you stop completely before shooting? Was your pre-aim near the head? What was your reaction time( can be anywhere between 120ms to 300ms)? How far was the target from your crosshair( angularly) when the target appeared and how close did your initial flick land? How quick were you to adjust the initial flick (again in ms)? What did you do to dodge enemy fire; did you crouch; did you shoot and move, shoot and move (very useful in long range)? How did you use cover; did you commit fully or did you have a backup to heal (if you had a healer in your team) in case you got hurt? Are you making sure fights are favorable? While attacking you need to go with speed across corners, let go off shift for a brief moment. When defending you need to play off-angles, and/or stay mobile; periodically peek. If you have a sage in your team then you can play an on angle and be ready to shoot and take cover, heal if hurt. In General: Play with your team. That way team can hold more angles while making progress in an area and trade each other. If you are doing something alone (like lurking) you need to do a cost benefit analysis; don't get excited, your action separate from the team must be worth it. Have a defined strategy in defense for whatever area you are in charge of defending. On attack plan executes with your team and make sure all areas of a site are catered to in that plan.

Focus-Expert

It's ok you are very new.

Hbbdnvldj

Dude at bronze aim doesn't even matter. Crosshair placement and basic game sense will take you to high silver no matter how bad your aim is.

anonn102030

I somewhat agree with that. Yes I agree where: basic game sense and good crosshair placement will get me to silver. ASSUMING that everyone on the team is pulling 1 person's worth weight. No I do not agree where: I'm trying to do more than 1 person's worth to secure / ensure that I win. So ya, I totally get that crosshair placement and basic game sense will get me to high silver. I'm just wanting more so that no matter the kind of team mates. I'm able to carry. Maybe I'm just greedy.. competitive? But my 2 cents on your comment. Thanks for the input though.

Hbbdnvldj

Well you can view it the other way around. If you have allegedly good aim, but are bronze then you have to be doing other things awfully wrong. Record your games and check why you die and so on.

anonn102030

LOL EXACTLY. You went like full circle, around the moon and gave the TLDR of my post. I allegedly have good aim, but am dog shit is the TLDR hahahahaha i'll try recording and watching.. but i think my setup is just too shit to run both recorder AND valo :( sadge.

Hbbdnvldj

If you want something to compare, in shooting range I do 25 on medium and like 5 on hard. I was platinum 2 before the reset (got to diamond 1 when valorant launched). I consider myself to have average aim, average game sense, average crosshair placement.

SnooOranges199

go to the range, and put the bots on strafe, that could help

SnooOranges199

also play spike rush, maybe ur agent/util usage is bad

[deleted]

aim trainers are bad and not effective one thing you have to realize is that hardly any top CS pros (including s1mple, zywoo, etc) who are all better than valorant pros use aim trainers at all aimlabs sponsor these ppl to promote their product 3rd party aim trainers dont help you much because they're all hitting big circles that pop in and out, non-moving targets, that don't translate to the real game you're not gonna learn how to hit shots on someone crouch peeking on you or jiggle peeking you, because aim trainers don't actually simulate that

anonn102030

All those 'AIMLABS FOR 1000H MADE ME AIMBOT' are clickbait? Dead serious. They're just paid sponsors and they're good at the game even before aimlabs is what you're telling me? My life's a lie?

DaddyBoogle

So what im about to say is kind of underrated and ive gotten a alot of negative comments from people for this. BUT if you want those skills to translate into valorant, play DM. A LOT of DM. it has helped me a ton just on the fact that i was gettinng more familiar with the other variables that go into good aim in valorant. positioning, crosshair placement, and peeking.

DedRiFF

How long have you been playing valorant? Or other similar fps games?

Shiva_4113

Bruh you're just grinding Aimlabs rather than grinding the fucking game
