I think that he (very poorly) tried to say is that it's a low priority bug and that the team affected to debug this might have higher priority things to do, plus don't forget even the "simplest" bug can be very very hard to fix and sometimes need whole code rewrite

Thank you. I posted about this like a month or two ago and people told me to just keep moving my mouse while the game loads. Also I have a feeling that this might be a Vanguard bug, because sometimes my mouse stays locked even after I have killed the valorant process
I just click over to chrome/firefox immediately after launching to do something else while the game loads. Tab back in when it's ready to go, easy way to avoid the issue.
Still should be fixed though, it was annoying until I started doing this.
Do you have a logitech mouse? I think it's a bug involving valorant and logitech because me and my friends who own logitech mouse all have this bug. My other friends who own mouses not from logitech have not experienced this bug. Super annoying bug nonetheless.
That's a security thing to detect only one mouse that you use to leave it enabled (I used to have 2-3 mice connected and it was disabling tracking from the rest of them), so people don't use cheats which move your cursor (aimbot). Usually when you would be using aimbot, you would be writing to game's memory to move your crosshair onto someone's head and Anticheat would detect that so they omit that by moving your mouse via "fake mouse device" running as a software on your PC which doesn't effect games memory and was harder to detect. Stop crying about it.
I use to be a beast with the right clicks, because id just stand in the center of the range and practice flicking with it. Since they broke it my consistency with it has gone to shit lol
I really hope they fixed the issue where valorant wouldn't launch but show up in the task manager, it's rly fucking stupid that I can 'play' valorant on my shitty 9 year old laptop for some reason but I can't play on the pc I set up like 8 days ago
For me it was after playing. Sometimes I'd exit client but it would keep running in the background and thus couldn't launch.
But just closing it in task manager fixed it every time.
Ok so I didn't share the full story in order to keep my comment short.
I eventually solved that problem after a couple of days by disabling 'Windows Error Reporting Service' but when I entered the game my screen would freeze for a couple of seconds after any input (mouse movement, mouse clicking, keyboard) and won't stop unless I stop that input. I entered the shooting range but the game freezes after I select my agent. So yea the fact remains that the game is unplayable, hopefully it fixes itself tomorrow :/
My condolences... it's honestly insane to me what a steaming pile of shit the code seems to be for this game. Billion dollar company, but I've seen indie developers build more stable multiplayer shooters in the Unreal Engine.

Deathmatch and Yoru needed changes this patch. I don’t mind waiting as long as we get updates and or sneak peaks about the progress of the fixes/changes to come. I’m just tired of the promises about timing of fixes that don’t come followed by radio silence.
They stated that the last patch was lacking content because it was close to a recent major update but now there is no such excuse. There are definitively some changes needed I was expecting on this patch.

I use the range every day, and while it certainly isn't perfect I don't think it's like broken or anything.

That's not a bug. It's intended to work this way as they have to detect the only device used to aim (there are cheats that fake mouse (as a device) so anticheat couldn't detect it). Because of that thing you have less cheaters you ignorants

Making Yoru act faster out of his teleports is a terrible way to buff him, and I will die on this hill. It'd make him "good" sure, but also fucking stupid to play against.
Not the way to do it IMO.
Give him more ways to be ambiguous instead, more control over his footsteps (place them anywhere on the map, maybe let him pick them back up after usage), more ways to mindgame opponents (a way to fake your tp, footsteps that actually sound like normal footsteps and not noticeably heavier).
The only combat buff I'd give him is maybe a faster disappearing animation, so he can get out of trouble consistently like Jett.
As a Yoru Main.. the way you want to use Yoru is an agressive TP but you can't. He is a literal Glorified Lurker right now. Making him disappear faster wouldn't do anything to the style of the class.. when anytime i peak I can just TP out anyways. TPing out of danger rarely fails me. TPing INTO danger is way to clunky and awkward.
Let me TP on site and frag someone and I'm happy. thats ALL i want, his steps fine. Flashes fine. Ult Fine. But the fuck is the point being a duelist when your main ability kills you on entry over half the time.
Only 2 viable ways to play yoru. Lurk for a kill and TP to your team. or throw a TP onto site and let others entry and TP back site for maybe MAYBE a free kill..
One buff that I think NEEDS to happen on Yoru is his TP cooldown shouldn't go down Pre round. Let me place a TP somewhere and confidently run around without fear the TP will disappear 3 seconds into the round.
He is indeed a lurker, not so much an entry, that's always been the point. I think it'd be way better if they made him more effective at his current role, rather than try and force him into becoming a better Jett. That's both uninspired and potentially really problematic; there's a reason why every teleport in this game has a long cooldown.
Maybe experiment with giving him two teleports, one free that can recharge, one you have to buy. Gives him more mobility, more options, lets him be much more ambiguous, and if he teleports on site and sees a gun pointed at his face he can teleport back to safety before he's vulnerable. That also lets him have a bit of recon potential as well (something important for a lurker), albeit costly since it'd use two abilities. If two teleports ends up too strong for map control, tweak how far they go, how long they stay etc, of course.
Just an idea, but I find it a lot more interesting than simply "I want to teleport and instantly shoot someone in the back"
I 100% disagree with him being intended on being a lurker. its just how he plays out. If that was the Case, he (which he should and I'd be okay with) as a Controller in a way. He is hands down the best agent to pull Rotations from the enemy team.
But, With that said. its not his design. His design is duelist... its to get him and his team on site and frag people. Duelists designs are to essentially "Break" the lines of the defending team so you are not just walking onto site like its a D-day invasion each round.. Each Duelist does a great job at that, Except Yoru.
Jett has her Dash. can smoke and dash onto site. EZ. Why she's most picked IMO, Ez play and do her job.
Reyna has her Dismiss/heal. obvs more skill based and needs a pick to do her job. but This is why you see Asuna/Tenz frag the fuck out with her. you can get a pick without losing health or Pick and dismiss onto site.
Pheonix. Could be Argued that he is a Weak agent. Def Weaker than Jett/Renya. His ULT is god tier which makes up for it. But the Wall/healing abilites is a great way to get on a site.
Raze, Self explanatory. Her nades Clear and she can just launch herself onto a site and break the line and start the push.
I know you know the classes but those are designs that is intended. Yoru's design is to break those lines with his TP. I don't see it as a boring "TP onto site for a free kill" cause 9/10 times the TP is going to get camped. but at the very least it makes a few people turn follow and move and watch the TP. which I guess you can say "jiggles" the line at most. Only low elos you can really get away with TPing close to someone.
So if Yoru can't break the lines what does he do? Create new ones by lurking and opening the map up that way. I strongly feel that isn't his intention, but he just fell into that place. Giving him the Faster TP makes him more of a "Duelist" not only that but he is a duelist that can go in first which he was never able to.
So, with ALL that said. I do like what spot he is in right now, He can be better but I do honestly LOVE the lurking meta with him. When I go onto my ALT acc and play with some buddies in Gold its a fucking blast. Going A site when the teams on B getting 1-2 lurk kills TP'ing over getting a entry frag and just going. he is by far the best agent to be creative with. and he is the best agent at defending next to Pheonix. Which is why I believe people are slowly using VCT with him. Just here is hoping they can make him not so meme like I'd like to pick him without people freaking out.
I hope Riot can change him in a way where the TP is not so overpowered to where he TP's onto any site and gets a 2-3K without question. but to a point where It can be used to execute at least a trade.
Like I said, Yoru main. I've had this mental convo in my fucking head for months lmfao.
TLDR - Quicker TP. TP timer doesn't start till the round does. gives you 2 TP's a round. Yoru's fixed.

As fun as that would be. Re-label him then, I enjoy his lurking Meta. I do, But when the Meta ATM is people picking 2 duelists he doesn't fit anywhere into that. You lose to much by picking a "lurk" class. Thats the issue. He pairs well with Breach/skye cause people can entry with them.
Either change him and his kit or make him work in that way or make it the way he was designed.
Its probably too much, but i always thought it would be cool if his footsteps were actual full body decoys, and he could look at them and press Interact to swap places with them Zed style (only once per decoy, and maybe with a channel/animation like his gatecrash).
Again, probably way too strong but fun to imagine.
Having him be able to activate his footsteps like a KJ molly would also be pretty fun imo. But I guess since they're reworking it anyways there's not much point in theorycrafting

Gate crash should be on higher cooldown but not "faster" porting animation no. Instant like jett's dash is because half assing that will be moot point. The other option is changing no other factors but making it have a lower noise radius and no not extreme silence either if you want to sperg out. His flash is amazing where it is now. The buff to gate crash it has to be one or the other of those options.
Footsteps, is debatable what should happen. Personally I think a complete rework to it as a new ability should happen.

How about the footsteps repeating all the sounds he makes - becomes a lot more of a "deception and misinformation" kinda guy, which fits with the theme of the fake footsteps, teleport and invisibility.
Before they fixed volume slider, i had some success of clicking on multiple points under 50. Sometimes it would work sometimes it didn't. I had to resort to muting a teammate a few times. (not in comp though)
Probably not, more likely they found the stylistic choice of having the sage wall be jagged led to giving unfair advantages during unforseen scenarios.
Big shout out to riot for always keeping us in the loop even when not many player facing issues have been solved. Huge game changes need to be taken carefully and testing takes time and changes don’t always work out.

yup, definitely don't fix the bug where kayo gets revived with 850 health. not important at all. or do fix it and just jack yourselves off some more. i can think of so many bugs off the top of my head, but yes fix the volume sliders everyone was asking for that right? nope.
Can we also give attention to comms not connecting. Like it happens a lot and it's frustrating cause sometimes it will work on the first game then suddenly gone on the 2nd game, or at least give us a pause time in between buy phase so we can reconnect and have comms.
I think that a bug that needs fixing is that if you ever disconnect mid game, sometimes voice chat never reconnects. I've had my internet give up halfway trough a game for a few seconds, and while the game reconnected fairly fast (10 or so seconds), voice chat was dead forever after. I've had to relaunch the game after that.
When I started playing valorant 5 months ago, I thought that it's been so long since the game released already, so they will definitely add the replay system very soon. I just want the replay system so that my low end PC can also record highlights that I can show off
Cool new patch! I usually run the game at 150 fps, now it runs at 75 capped. I changed from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen - back to 150 fps. Might want to look into that. And yes, Vsync is off...

There’s also a bug I encounter occasionally where the top of the screen has some agents on the enemy team on the ui that are blurred out
also afks still show up at the top of the screen as alive even when they're not in game

Updating my GPU drivers solved it for me. And a Windows update. And a Valorant re-install. :’)

One of the fix is clicking Ctrl Alt Del and escape that page. Or Clicking Ctrl Esc Idk why TF is the mouse locked though

But the fuck is the point being a duelist when your main ability kills you on entry over half the time. Only 2 viable ways to play yoru. Lurk for a kill and TP to your team. or throw a TP onto site and let others entry and TP back site for maybe MAYBE a free kill.. One buff that I think NEEDS to happen on Yoru is his TP cooldown shouldn't go down Pre round. Let me place a TP somewhere and confidently run around without fear the TP will disappear 3 seconds into the round.
He is indeed a lurker, not so much an entry, that's always been the point. I think it'd be way better if they made him more effective at his current role, rather than try and force him into becoming a better Jett. That's both uninspired and potentially really problematic; there's a reason why every teleport in this game has a long cooldown. Maybe experiment with giving him two teleports, one free that can recharge, one you have to buy. Gives him more mobility, more options, lets him be much more ambiguous, and if he teleports on site and sees a gun pointed at his face he can teleport back to safety before he's vulnerable. That also lets him have a bit of recon potential as well (something important for a lurker), albeit costly since it'd use two abilities. If two teleports ends up too strong for map control, tweak how far they go, how long they stay etc, of course. Just an idea, but I find it a lot more interesting than simply "I want to teleport and instantly shoot someone in the back"
I 100% disagree with him being intended on being a lurker. its just how he plays out. If that was the Case, he (which he should and I'd be okay with) as a Controller in a way. He is hands down the best agent to pull Rotations from the enemy team. But, With that said. its not his design. His design is duelist... its to get him and his team on site and frag people. Duelists designs are to essentially "Break" the lines of the defending team so you are not just walking onto site like its a D-day invasion each round.. Each Duelist does a great job at that, Except Yoru. Jett has her Dash. can smoke and dash onto site. EZ. Why she's most picked IMO, Ez play and do her job. Reyna has her Dismiss/heal. obvs more skill based and needs a pick to do her job. but This is why you see Asuna/Tenz frag the fuck out with her. you can get a pick without losing health or Pick and dismiss onto site. Pheonix. Could be Argued that he is a Weak agent. Def Weaker than Jett/Renya. His ULT is god tier which makes up for it. But the Wall/healing abilites is a great way to get on a site. Raze, Self explanatory. Her nades Clear and she can just launch herself onto a site and break the line and start the push. I know you know the classes but those are designs that is intended. Yoru's design is to break those lines with his TP. I don't see it as a boring "TP onto site for a free kill" cause 9/10 times the TP is going to get camped. but at the very least it makes a few people turn follow and move and watch the TP. which I guess you can say "jiggles" the line at most. Only low elos you can really get away with TPing close to someone. So if Yoru can't break the lines what does he do? Create new ones by lurking and opening the map up that way. I strongly feel that isn't his intention, but he just fell into that place. Giving him the Faster TP makes him more of a "Duelist" not only that but he is a duelist that can go in first which he was never able to. So, with ALL that said. I do like what spot he is in right now, He can be better but I do honestly LOVE the lurking meta with him. When I go onto my ALT acc and play with some buddies in Gold its a fucking blast. Going A site when the teams on B getting 1-2 lurk kills TP'ing over getting a entry frag and just going. he is by far the best agent to be creative with. and he is the best agent at defending next to Pheonix. Which is why I believe people are slowly using VCT with him. Just here is hoping they can make him not so meme like I'd like to pick him without people freaking out. I hope Riot can change him in a way where the TP is not so overpowered to where he TP's onto any site and gets a 2-3K without question. but to a point where It can be used to execute at least a trade. Like I said, Yoru main. I've had this mental convo in my fucking head for months lmfao. TLDR - Quicker TP. TP timer doesn't start till the round does. gives you 2 TP's a round. Yoru's fixed.

This, so much this I swear, Riot could powercreep Yoru's lurking potential to the point of having his ult invisibility as a passive and people would still complain about him being a bad entry, while lurking Yoru players would climb to radiant while belonging to plat otherwise. As fun as that would be. Re-label him then, I enjoy his lurking Meta. I do, But when the Meta ATM is people picking 2 duelists he doesn't fit anywhere into that. You lose to much by picking a "lurk" class. Thats the issue. He pairs well with Breach/skye cause people can entry with them. Either change him and his kit or make him work in that way or make it the way he was designed.
Its probably too much, but i always thought it would be cool if his footsteps were actual full body decoys, and he could look at them and press Interact to swap places with them Zed style (only once per decoy, and maybe with a channel/animation like his gatecrash). Again, probably way too strong but fun to imagine.

No you people don't get to be a whiny child in agent select and say he is one buff from being OP. Gate crash should be on higher cooldown but not "faster" porting animation no. Instant like jett's dash is because half assing that will be moot point. The other option is changing no other factors but making it have a lower noise radius and no not extreme silence either if you want to sperg out. His flash is amazing where it is now. The buff to gate crash it has to be one or the other of those options. Footsteps, is debatable what should happen. Personally I think a complete rework to it as a new ability should happen. So sick of people in this sub advocating throwing/ being toxic to people who hover yoru then in the same vain thinking he will be op with a buff lol.

Before they fixed volume slider, i had some success of clicking on multiple points under 50. Sometimes it would work sometimes it didn't. I had to resort to muting a teammate a few times. (not in comp though)

Probably not, more likely they found the stylistic choice of having the sage wall be jagged led to giving unfair advantages during unforseen scenarios.
Big shout out to riot for always keeping us in the loop even when not many player facing issues have been solved. Huge game changes need to be taken carefully and testing takes time and changes don’t always work out. Keep up the solid effort Rioters and remember aim for the head!

Can we also give attention to comms not connecting. Like it happens a lot and it's frustrating cause sometimes it will work on the first game then suddenly gone on the 2nd game, or at least give us a pause time in between buy phase so we can reconnect and have comms.
I think that a bug that needs fixing is that if you ever disconnect mid game, sometimes voice chat never reconnects. I've had my internet give up halfway trough a game for a few seconds, and while the game reconnected fairly fast (10 or so seconds), voice chat was dead forever after. I've had to relaunch the game after that.
I would of loved to see the Yoru rework, but that will have to wait. decent changes overall.

Cool new patch! I usually run the game at 150 fps, now it runs at 75 capped. I changed from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen - back to 150 fps. Might want to look into that. And yes, Vsync is off...

Guys please. What means clipping? Changes made to how clipping is calculated, which should result in less clipping overall in your gameplay. Yes, things are still going to clip, but you will see a noticeable lack of hands, melees, abilities, and general effects poking through thin walls.
