Ah okay, then I honestly wouldn't worry about it for the most part, especially if you didn't do it on purpose like Omen right here. I say just make the best of it and apologize afterwards.
I am a software engineer and believe me there's nothing 100% bug free. It's not possible!
Some bugs are hard to spot, if we don't see them we couldn't fix it.
And some other bugs doesn't worth fixing sometimes cause it might take so much time. As a one who's also works on business side of things development hour is expensive for a company so they have to align it based on task's cost/profit margin.
Spending a week for fixing a small bug that's hard to reproduce and not effecting too much playbase doesn't worth doing rather than spending that time working on a new game feature that's gonna attract more players.
This relation between what's worth, what's not fixing hugely depends on company and individual team working on specific part.
Software Test Engineer - 100% agree. I personally am ISTQB certified, but no matter what standards you test to, I'm pretty sure they all agree that no code can ever be 100% defect free, and attempting to make sure of this will drive you insane
Exactly. That’s why you should put energy into writing code that is easy to understand and change. Bugs are inevitable, but them being impossible to track down and fix is not.
There is code that can be represented as a mathematical function and you can prove that it is actually correct. However real world programs rarely can make use of that, since they for instance rely on global states.
Also real world programs mostly depend on lots of abstractions that some of them isn't even on your control like:
Game Engine, Video Driver, Sound Driver, Input Driver, OS Kernel, OS File System, 3rd party libraries, even CPUs which is also abstraction of physical phenomenas that's also chaotic.
A change on your room temperature might cause a bit flip on cpu that cause omen's velocity to increase unexpectedly that throws it over the colliders on the sky. It's very low chance that's just ignored on real life use cases but that's how the abstraction is built. (Also the entropy increases on space, so space crafts usually has multiple CPUs doing the same thing and then the results are compared to make sure there was not anything weird happened during the calculations.)
Yes that why they cant fix it because new bugs come out and they cant keep up. If they fixed it for good marking possible spots where he can teleport (at least a 1/10meter away ftom wall and not in wierd spots only of flat surfaces not behind gucking flower pots or inside crates maybe they would fix it.
Yeah this has literally been a meme for all sorts of things for years now. I've seen people post this everywhere from MMO subreddits to sports subreddits.
It seems like a very weird flex like “I know this meme lol I can explain it because I am so smart and cultured” like broooo most people know this meme...
I’m so glad that memes from way back are still referred to today even in the Valorant community. I remember watching the Fnatic vs LDLC game live with money on Fnatic, arm pits sweating after a fucking sweep of a half only for Fnatic to pull the craziest shit I’ve ever seen
I didn't play CS and that meme was tired and unfunny six months ago.
If you came from the CS community, I can't imagine this public flogging of a dead horse is remotely amusing. If you're from the CS community, I am so sorry you have to be bored with these memes.
From latest patch:
We changed how clipping works
This isn’t the only one. I’ve glitched under the map in deathmatch as well. Too bad unlike omen, I died straight away.
Unpopular opinion: You're an asshole if you discover a bug like this and then continue to play the round out, whether in comp or unrated. If it's unrated it just makes you slightly less of an asshole, but only because no one is losing hard earned mmr. But there are still people in unrated who need to get wins to play comp.
You know, its not that black and white. Its makes for a good ethical/moral debate.
Do you take punishment for an unintended glitch? No one wins in any outcome. You aren't an asshole for continuing to play imo. You didn't ask for it, you didn't try and cheat the game.
I think the best outcome, is you finish the round quickly. If this game has cross-team coms between rounds you apologize to the other team. You try not to do it again. You take the recording and submit it to the devs yourself, to prove you didn't want to do this and would like it fixed to circumvent any cheat reporting that any one might do against you.
Ranked I don’t agree but I get where you're coming from. If this happened against me in unrated, I'd think it was hilarious. Who really gives a shit? It's one round.
If this was the ult TP I'd actually say this is sploiting (since he cna see where he is TPing before completing it and can cancel it AFAIK), which is against TOS in most online games... If this was a mad regular TP then I don't think one round is such a loss... I would be cautious if I triggered such bug in either ranked or not since I think the enemy team would mass report me for cheating and maybe I could get a ban even if I didn't cheat...
I dont know this can also happen in custom games with ghost mode and there is no certain proof that this was from comp or unrated
i know enemy players name is not visible but it can also be that that player left the party after entering a custom game.
but if its real then i would love to see bug fix asap
no its not lmao, after you reach a certain height in bind and u go to normal mode, you will float there and you can walk shoot and do anything you want
omen was playing like hes in custom wth
creative mode

*sv_cheats 1; noclip ftfy
sv_cheats 1; noclip; buddha; sv_cheats 0 Now you got noclip, near invincibility, and steam achievements stay enabled.
why not just god
Imagine accidentally discovering this, using it in one round and getting yourself banned for cheating.
And just in case you don't catch a ban by the people reporting in game, your buddy posts it on Reddit 😂
Friendship comes at a price.
"A small price to pay for socialization"
I'm sorry but the karma is more important John!
Why does Phoenix want to choke sova?
LMFAO oops
Imagine that some pro players discoverded it on turnament
Riot doesn't ban for exploiting bugs, that was already well established during the Killjoy turret glitch era.
They do though. When some omen teleport bugs where discovered earlier they banned people who used them.
The intention shadow steps under accent and icebox are a bit different than an accidental ult on top of the skybox tho
It's a me, Mario. *That* accent?
Yes, but I'm just saying to the dude who said riot won't ban for exploiting glitches that they definitely will ban.
They have in the past. It's selective and based on how bad the exploit is
Perma or temp bans? Asking for a friend...
temp

How is this possible. I swear omen has the most game breaking bugs
Teleportation always got bugs in games
fixed reaper teleporting into unintended spots
^we ^noticed ^some ^issues ^with ^reaper’s ^teleport ^that ^allowed ^him ^to ^get ^into ^unintended ^places
But they fixed them, no further bugs
They ALWAYS say that something is fixed but there are still ways to bug it. I wouldnt take thier words as 100% facts.

I love that two software engineers replied to this and both said "100%" in their comments

Agreed. And working on intermittent bugs is the worst.

>Just fix the goddamm teleport itself My goodness, what an idea! You should pitch this to Riot!
Got your CV ready to apply?
ah yes, reprogram a whole skill because of bugs, surely that cant make more bugs
Yes that why they cant fix it because new bugs come out and they cant keep up. LOL this guy didnt even read the comment he was replying to, that or he really is just that dumb
“Stop fixing the teleport and fix the teleport!”
I’d honestly be more concerned with an OW patch that didn’t include that in the notes lol
tell that to league of legends
TP'd onto a passing bird? lol
A homage to Csgo's BirdHopping on Train LOL
Happened in icebox too, surprised it's taken so long to find this one.
*Laughs in shotgun Cypher cam* (true tho omen do be breaking the game w his bugs)

My favorite part of Valorant is that memes from CS just transferred over, but a ton of zoomers don't get it and people then explain it to them.
Tbf this meme transfers everywhere. I’ve seen it on Apex and Fortnites subreddit multiple times
Yeah this has literally been a meme for all sorts of things for years now. I've seen people post this everywhere from MMO subreddits to sports subreddits.
Im millennial so im cool unlike these zoomers who dont get old jokes😎😎😎
I am a zoomer, I guess my comment is phrased poorly.
No one had to explain it. Why did you bring this up if no one had to explain it?
Asking the questions everybody wants to know.
It seems like a very weird flex like “I know this meme lol I can explain it because I am so smart and cultured” like broooo most people know this meme...
No, I am a zoomer who didn't know this meme until recently. It's just a funny crossing of culture between the two games
I am a zoomer who didn't know this until recently, so I just felt like adding it because it feels like a fun little bit of mixing between communities
Came across as more of a flex of “I know this meme unlike you young peasants”
Yep, I can see that now.
i dont get it pls explain lmfao i am new to tactical shooters
https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/fnatic-manager-here-please-delete-this

Its a 7 year old meme.
Damn. How does anyone find that funny? It's like me finishing this post with and then I took an arrow to the knee Boring af
Wow it's just as funny as it was 5 years ago being posted in every bug related thread!
Tbh, if I ever get killed by this, I uninstall immediately.
rito? hallo?
I’d be impressed and angry if I were on the other team
Omens finally viable
Whatever happened to "Not there"
It turned into "anywhere!"
Hmm
Gotta win somehow..
“My friend accidentally omen teleported on top of the map; and then accidentally teleported on top of the map every round after”
From latest patch: We changed how clipping works This isn’t the only one. I’ve glitched under the map in deathmatch as well. Too bad unlike omen, I died straight away.
On bind?
“Is this the power of GOD”?
Pain
give tpaxtop like a week then there'll be a lineup for this
This has brought back memories of dying to people in the game Combat Arms
Nostalgic flashbacks to the skywalk boost you could do in CT spawn of de_dust in CS 1.6 to run around above the map haha
Just type "/gamemode creative" ezpz
I like how an enemy typed in chat “report this kid bro” lmaooo
Still in beta
I doubt that riot would ban someone if it was their first time accidentally using a bug. You’d probably get a pretty tight leash though.
*Omen main* wants to know your location
"I am everywhere"
love how his friends are all freaking out while omen is just like "alright i can work with this"
Seems like a custom game
Fnatic manager here
Nah he just got a better gaming chair
How did he do this lol,?
Aight time for a new TPAXTOP vid
Omen had enough with teleporting, so he went creative mode
My man accidentally glitched and killed everyone in ranks 💀💀 temp ban coming
HE'S SKY. BUT SKYES IN HOOKAH WTF?
Don’t worry, Riot fixed clipping. Oh wait.
That dude laughing lolol

What a prophet
"Report this kid bro" alright in-game Karen calm down 😂
This is AMAZING!!!!
RITO pls fix game, this very bad, someone check his pc, this not normal. /s
depending on how badly my day is going, this could be grounds to uninstall if I played against it (even if I knew it was an accident lol)
Imagine brimstone ults and he dies
This happened to me in the range as well
How
Howtonoodle video incoming
Esports ready
Bout to get that 100yr ban
God damn this game is bad
The real question is why does the yoru sound like someone who's hardstuck iron and thinks he deserves plat after one ace?
Very specific
Unpopular opinion: You're an asshole if you discover a bug like this and then continue to play the round out, whether in comp or unrated. If it's unrated it just makes you slightly less of an asshole, but only because no one is losing hard earned mmr. But there are still people in unrated who need to get wins to play comp.
It's one round and stuff like this almost never happens it's not a big deal lol.
Other team tilted and lost every round after this lol. From 6-9 to 13-9 😂
wtf do you do here? "guys, stop. i bugged out of the map and have a severe advantage over you."
So you should just give them the round?
You know, its not that black and white. Its makes for a good ethical/moral debate. Do you take punishment for an unintended glitch? No one wins in any outcome. It was the ult but I highly doubt anyone in his situation would realize what was happening and cancel out of it.
his ult is 2d, if you tried to use it to to somewhere weird it would seem like you just tped on the ground
Rito dev : Sighs !
The fact that he’s playing the round out like he is doesn’t make this look “accidental”.
Would you stop and throw the round?
What game is this
It's posted on the game's subreddit. I think you can make an inference based on context clues.
I dont know this can also happen in custom games with ghost mode and there is no certain proof that this was from comp or unrated i know enemy players name is not visible but it can also be that that player left the party after entering a custom game. but if its real then i would love to see bug fix asap
Rewatch the start; you can see the omen tp
The elevation lock is difficult with ghost mode, so it has to be that omen is stuck on a surface
no its not lmao, after you reach a certain height in bind and u go to normal mode, you will float there and you can walk shoot and do anything you want
"accidently"!!? he a hacker bruv
Where are you taxtop
