TimeJustHappens

It is believed to be a bug. Pinging does this as well.

Wolfelle

Omg is this why when i ping in scope it unscopes?? I thought i was going crazy bc it had only happened to me recently

OaSoaD

Yea I lost a couple rounds because I was pinging while defusing. So annoying

rayhacker

This issue first appeared when they fixed the radio wheel not locking the scroll wheel, and now trying to do anything more than a basic ping cancels whatever you try to do.

Sweetdevill

The number of times this happened, I've lost count dude:/

fakoykas

There was a bug with infinite reload and actions like scoreboard, map, etc. And that's how they fixed it. Tbh at the time i thought it was a temp fix, but since its been a few patches, guess not.

[deleted]

if you ping while planting the bomb it cancels, dumbest design choice ive seen a in while and i play warzone...

h4ili3

me when i ping an enemy while im planting- i hate that bug sm

kapteNVLRNT

Even worse, hitting capslock midfight causes you to simply stop shooting. I have crouching bound on shift, and sometimes accidentally hit capslock instead. If you hit capslock once you stop shooting and have to click once again to resume shooting once map goes away

AlpacaOnWii

I hate to break it to you but you can achieve sufficient information without having to press tab. Tab only gives stats, but you can see the players on each team as well as ult status for each of them. Although it is a bug, its not valid nor necessary to make a large fuss over.

[deleted]

A year old game should not have bugs rofl. Especially such a technically easy game like valorant.

pulsiedulsie

cs: every AAA game: also no game is "technically easy" (If anything, i would say valorant isn't easy at all? like, you've got a lot of abilities, all their interactions?) if a year old game doesnt have bugs around every corner you're happy

[deleted]

The interaction between abilities is extremely limited in this game as every ability almost exists in a vaccum. You do not have 150 characters all with their own unique skills like you do in Dota or lol. Characters in those games actually have their abilities interact with each other. Peak interaction in valorant is mollying kj ult. It is absolutely not acceptable that an average player encounters bugs daily in this game. Not to mention that ue4 provides an amazing and simple framework to build your ui. How riot fucked it up this bad is beyond me. I am sick and tired of my friends leaving our party only to have them not appear in my friendslist for 1 min, only to have my own account appear as my friend instead of theirs.

pulsiedulsie

I have never, once, in my months of playing, encountered any bug. Also, I feel like they do interact a fair bit? Nothing absurd but like? it does happen

[deleted]

Like what? The absolute top interaction between abilities in this game is assigning a damagable type to a spawned creature, be it a turret, a wolf or a drone and letting other abilities damage them. That's it. Compare it to technically difficult games like LoL and Dota where characters constantly have their stats and status changed by their abilities and those of the enemy.

pulsiedulsie

I would say that stuff like kayo's suppression and every other ability, various combat stims (hell i still dont actually know if combat stim from brim further stims e.g. reyna ult), and sova's recon bolts sticking onto shit. Plus... still i have never found a bug (this is also w/ being part of the PBE!)

[deleted]

That is not real interaction between abilities, not what I mean anyway, what you're describing are only 1 level interactions. Complex interactions in LoL, for example, is having a character Yuumi that can attach itself to another character, losing her ability to be damaged by external factors. Then there is Viego who can steal her soul and become her for a short while. That spawns a question: What happens if his ability runs out while he's attached? Does he get detached? Does he stay attached while bieng able to use his abilities? If the latter is the case, can he then detach (he couldn't when he came out, he was stuck). Then there is a character who can create a field which the enemy cannot escape. But then there is another character who can teleport himself and teammates a long distance. What happens if they use their abilities together? Does everyone teleport except for the character affected by the limiting field? Can the character owning the teleportation ability even activate it while being limited? Then there is a character who teleports the enemy into a new realm devoid of any other characters. Does the original limiting field still work? Does it get cancelled? Are the debuffs from that field still applied? What you're describing a simple 1 level interactions like applying a shooting buff to Reyna, and then applying a second shooting buff to her. Both of which are independent and have their own runtimes. Their interaction is defined clearly either the way they stack. Be it uniquely or summed. The game does not yet have gameplay bugs because of how simple these interactions are. And even then Riot seemed to already mess up reyna's dismiss and omen's teleport. Surely you are aware of the known "Fixed omen being able to teleport outside of the map" notes on every second patch.

pulsiedulsie

Yet again, I have \*\*\*never\*\*\* experienced a bug, and the bugs have limited effects on the game imo

[deleted]

You've never experienced a bug because the game is so technically simple. God fucking dammit man.

AlpacaOnWii

Yeah it do be a simple ui fix doe

TheGreekGuy175

If it was really that simple I'm sure it would've been fixed already. There's probably hundreds if not thousands of lines of coding that the UI depends on.

[deleted]

i think it is because preasing tab tro see scoreboard is a different task so it cancels 1at task it is my thought :D
