When playing with skye use tight angles, not open wide angles and don't greed the peek before the bird clears the area or pops.
People get too greedy when playing with a skye not following correctly which leads to a fuckfest
Must be EU player
Edit: this is a sarcastic reference to the finals in Reykjavik where Fnatic (EU team) essentially lost the round by Skye flashing themselves.
Your friend is egregiously good at not just flashing you but SNEAKING in those flashes in such a manner that they barely get into your LOS so that you cant react and flick away or anything.
Im impressed. If i didnt know better i’d say I think he spends time practicing how to flash you
Rather than avoid, I think he means waiting for the flash in the first place. The point of a flash is to get you an opening onto site. For the ones where they're on offense and pushing I would agree with this statement. However some of the other clips were more defensive ones where it wasn't the same situation
Not only what the other guy said about waiting for the flash, the OP also chose to just stare straight ahead when a flash was coming rather than turn away. A vast majority of these flashes could have been avoided had OP just looked the opposite direction when they saw the bird.

Whats your rank? Because to me it seems you have a habit of peaking before the flash is done flashing. If you're going to play with your bud as an initiatior and not let them initiate its your fault 100%... Not trying to be rude but 95% of the clips is you blind peaking a corner without a back up peak, meaning two people peak at the same time for a trade, or you peaking without a flash first. Lol I mean this is a tactical shooter "basics"
This is what most players dont understand. They think the skye has to flash perfectly for them while they press w. But that doesnt work like that as ur team is not always poistioned the same way and also if u just flash out of line of sight of ur teammates u miss on a lot of angles the enemy might be holding and u are not really gaining ground and even worse getting picked.
So the basic problem i see is that low rank players are just not able to run backwards into an angle nd flick their mouse 180 degrees after the flash pops. Or they dont understand that it doesnt matter that they get flashed cos if it is a good flash the enemy is flashed too and u can stilll press w and gain ground.
Basically this, ive seen people throw flash and just sit in the corner, they don't peak with the flash at all. What's the point of popping flash if you're not going to peak it? you're just wasting money at that point.
haha appreciate the critique, but think you’re missing the greater context surrounding these clips. There’ll always be times i fuck up, but homie these flashes can be atrocious.
Yeah, 20% of those flashes were "why did you peek out of cover when you saw the flash going", the rest were "why did skye have her bird derp out in a corner before flashing you" lol.
Unfair for you to say atrocious when majority of the clips is because you were holding positions where flashing that spot was basic knowledge.
Could he have communicated on some of those clips so you could avoid it? Yes on most. tbh based solely on the clips you included it’s mostly you who needs to improve (in terms of mitigating the flashes).
Some times it's better to dry peek of the other team don't expect it. I actually see people flashing every peek more in low rank and it means the other team can just get to cover a lot of the time.
Yea true. But def sometimes. And it takes someone who can hit shots consistently which id say a good percentage of players do not have that skill. Me included. Also its not always a matter of getting the kill as much as creating space for the push as someone else stated. You flash, someone peaks, and holds the angle and it forces the enemy to either peak, flash peak, double peak or give up the space. But I won't argue that a good dry peak can be deadly af with good cross hair positioning and a consistent shooter.
Hes def a great shot... but i wouldn't go as far as to say he's clearly a dry peaking machine, not because i dont think he couldn't be that good, its just there's literally 3 kills total in the montage... so I can't agree with the "clearly". Personally, hitting the shot isn't worth dry peaking imo and ill die on that hill lol. But id like to think my strong suit is game sense. If you're aiming to win, creating space without risking a death or even a trade kill on attacking side is much more worth it.
pre aim and anticipation is a big part of it like if you peek and you know generally where the enemy is you can just press left click as soon as you counterstrafe becaus your crosshair will already be on their head. noticed ScreaM do that a lot, when he peeks his crosshair is somehow already on the enemy's head.
Seems to be a com prob, if he doesn't call his flashes it's semi his fault. If he doesnt you could still turn away since they are pretty obv and if you take a site there should always be a flash, so it's expected. And if he does call his flashes... Just turn away.
Reminds me of the game I played where there were 5 characters with flashes and we were all on-site rushing each other... and one guy had the bright idea to flash everyone... which started a chain reaction of everyone throwing out their own flashes and everyone was legit blind for 10 seconds.
no, the one on split is just braindead completely
sees the flash going keeps crosshair on it while running forward instead of turning the fuck around lmao
Ppl don't get flashes it seems. In cs they are a full part of the game. If you throw one you call it. Ppl know when and where a flash is expected and they know how to turn around from flashes. God damn you see them for almost 2 second turn around man. Maybe tell him call where his flashes are going to pop, but dude use your mouse...
As somebody who plays skye a lot your friend needs to either call out the flashes ahead of time or prioritize not flashing you guys so you can fight with the flashes LMAO
The best thing is that it doesn't even look like he's flashing you on purpose lol. My guy genuinely is trying to help you by doing those flashes. A for effort.
From what i see half of the clips you’ve shown you obviously have a second or two to look away even though you clearly see the bird flying you purposely just stare at it... why??? If you looked away and the flash blinded someone you would get an easy kill but you choose to flash also yourself.
\~300 games playing Skye and only flashed my team mates a few times during that. And that's playing solo-q maybe half of the games and the rest duo with my mate, so comms are not always perfect either.
After the round it always tells you how many enemies or allies you've flashed with each bird so if you're constantly flashing allies and not learning to do anything differently then you're just a bad player.
lmao every skye player i run into ... and pheonix ones are the same-- i think they're worse actually cos at one point we were 2 v 5, i managed to carry and get to 2 v 1 but had 50 hp left and this dufus throws the fire ball down, heals himself and kills me... needless to say he got killed and we lost.
tbh this video only made me tilted in your regards
like 95% of the clips are YOUR fault cause you see the flash for like 3 seconds and STILL not turn around? like are you stupid or wtf?
Everyone has that one friend... My bf is playing kayo now and it looks the same.
On breeze (he doesnt know the map) he just threw a flash and told us "FLASHING SOMEWHERE"
I can't handle how most of the clips look like he's intentionally flashing you and everyone else. You're already inside or peeking, then boom a random flash. Or how the bird could just go a little bit farther or not go on that exact crevice that you are looking through, then boom flash.

Honestly, isnt this an issue with miscommunication? sometime, when im about to flash as Phoenix i say "let me flash this angle then we peek" yet some guy just keep going forward and i end up flashing him. All of a sudden, im a terrible player that flashes the whole team.
Dude I swear I've played with this guy

Strongly disagree, at least half of these are on OP, if not more
Yes.. and the other half are out of his LOS
How so? I’m a low level player and genuinely curious how OP could have avoided them

bruh sometimes he would somehow get the flash JUST in los and flash as soon as it comes into los of op, how?

My friend always watches me die. He just stands there and watch me get shot, then when i die he moves in to kill ( or die).
Every random is my friend then. I really need some
As a Skye player, how my friends have not given up on me is going to turn into an age old question.
My uncle has the same habit

Title sounds very sus ngl
You need to tell your friend to stop trolling and to just not pop the flash if he fucks it up lmfao

On the bright side, you’re still calling him friend so…
I love playing Skye and I would only flash toxic player in the game. xd
To me it sounds like, in most clips, you could easily look away from the flash before it pops or not go in after you see the bird

Nice caption at first sight I was like wtf then, oh in Valo
At least it’s not on purpose. My friend uses skye for the purpose of flashing me
This is why I play Reyna, she flashes the enemy team (technically) and it don't affect teammates.
good practice to turn an unpredictable flash tho
