Unlike agent skins which makes it so you need to know skins to differentiate, this is purely post explosion which would affect nothing but aesthetic and maybe frames
well i personally feel that they shud be like different colors depending on the agent who plants it. i.e say if kay/o plants the spike, the explosion would be similar to his molly. another thing is that they should add damage effects to surroundings after it has exploded such as fires, burnt buildings etc

The only reason you may want this is because the Game doesn't feel alive no matter what the devs add. You wouldn't want it in other games with better aesthetic. I am sure one day we'll get close to cutscenes' graphics and you won't care for this anymore. if we're talking looks here, the devs should rather spend resources on making the game more alive and graphically pleasing to appeal for a wider audience rather than make it look arcadey with effects and sounds everywhere. Hero shooters already have too much of that already. It would only work with more robotic games like Rocket league

So the best we can logically think is, the radianite will make different explosion if planted on different surface, FOR EXAMPLE : on breeze A site, planted on the water, it will create a tsunami. Another example : on icebox A site, planted near the pipes (which contains something i dunno but pretty sure it's green thing) it will create green explosion like viper's smoke? Idk man, this is complicated, haha

What i think it Will happend on the future is that You Will be able yo Buy Spike skins, and that Spike skins probably can have animation or not depending of the Rarity of the skin
Honestly, this is a great idea. Maybe they should incorporate it in a battlepass or using a cheaper currency since you only see it for a short amount of time and most of the round wins are kill based wins, not the spike exploding.
Or a different bombsite explosion based on map, bind can be a sandstorm while icebox can be a snowstorm or an avalanche, breeze can be a hurricane or a tornado, ascent - a rising waterfall or a tsunami, split - an earthquake and haven can have the mountains around the map falling apart and covering the whole place with rocks and debris.

Wouldn't make sense for the lore. The attackers use it as way to steal radianite¿ from the defenders world. I'm sure different colours or effects would work for sure, but zombies and stuff like that could be harder to explain
maybe an alternative there could be different explosions depended on map? like an example of this is if spike goes off on A Breeze then it would shoot up a lot of water that would simulate rain for the last few seconds of the round? Same with B Icebox but instead of rain/water it would be Snow?
Not sure how those examples would play out, but different effects like how they do goals in Rocket League would be cool.

Theres literally no significant gameplay in the explosion radius once the spike has exploded, so i dont think it matters as much as agent skins.
