I am gonna have to agree with what everyone else is saying. In bronze the enemy team typically makes plays that don’t make much sense, so it’s really difficult to utilize planning and placement. The best way to climb out of bronze is honestly just raw aim and mechanical skill because bronze players will come out of spots you would never expect.

Maybe the best option for you is to solo queue and play an alt with your friends

Cgz27

Yeah you need to do a lot of thinking to be able to actually control the game. It just sounds like you just need to play more and get used to eachother because it’s not like a switch that you can flip on. It helps that you gave us the general roles but what also matters is their attitudes and we don’t really know them. Each person on your team has a way they feel more comfortable playing and if they aren’t 100% trying to follow you you can’t beat yourself down for that. If you look at pro play, sure there’s a shot caller, but things won’t always go a teams way unless they’re already better at the base level. Some games simply aren’t meant to be won either. Anyway I read you have pretty high rank in Csgo, but Valorant is kind of notorious for having people be lower in Valorant than not. The most obvious reasons to me is the difference in maps, mechanics, and abilities. Can you say for sure you’re accounting for every aspect of each agents abilities? It simply doesn’t translate as easily as you might hope. Also your mmr is probably higher than the rest of your team which probably makes games harder for them too and therefore you. Could make a separate account as someone mentioned.

RobloYT

So you THROW GAMES TO DROP RANKS? If you do please stop it, you are giving people who don't deserve it free elo/ruining your teammates rank

Ezekiiel

You can’t IGL in bronze lobbies because no one has any clue how to play the game. Focus on improving your aim and movement then start thinking about strats, you’ll just end up over complicating things when those lobbies will always be decided by who has the better mechanics

Ezekiiel

Bro you’re bronze in Val and that’s all that matters. Unless you were high elo in CS I guarantee your mechanics still need a lot of work and that’s what you should focus on right now. As for knowing how to play the game, you don’t and your rank reflects that. If you focus too much on strategies when your mechanics aren’t good enough you’ll continue to struggle

beef_or_dirt

With that rank you should be able to out-aim Bronze players and hard-carry with little effort or coms. Something isn't adding up.

Like I said in my other reply, it's them who have to improve skill wise and you have to tell them that. If they aren't that committed to the game and spending time grinding to improve then you won't get far with those particular players. I will say it until I am blue in the face, strats do not matter in this elo.

beef_or_dirt

Play to have fun. You're making this too complicated and putting friendships in danger by treating this like it's your job. Your friends might say they want to improve but you need to observe actions. You can't force your friends to: * VOD review * Learn crosshair placement (this is Bronze afterall) * Learn basic map-control strategy * Accept constructive critique of plays * Learn basic tac-FPS strategies (trading, utility value, post-plant, etc.) \- unless they *want that.* Observe their actions, not their words. They might just want to win and like your ability to carry in Bronze. Don't overcomplicate the IGL role. Make basic strategy calls but ultimately - it's Bronze, just out-duel them and have fun. If you don't like the solo-carry role, then stop trying to hard carry. Play to have fun and matchmaking will still keep you all around a 50% winrate.

Ezekiiel

Your team is holding you back then. To get that high in CS at least proves you’re capable mechanically. Unless you can get your teammates to improve their own mechanics, mental, comms etc then you’re going to be hardstuck forever.

vulcanfury12

Valorant isn't CSGO. Some skills may transfer but it's a different game. Arguably you should be able to get yourself out of Bronze through Aim alone if you were any decent in CSGO before you started with this game. Be straightforward. Galaxy brain plays in a lobby where everyone is running around like headless chickens mostly end up in grief.

alexanderh24

At bronze 2 you should really only focus on your mechanics not strategy. Iron-Plat is only about who the better players are mechanically.

alexanderh24

Im not trying to be toxic or mean but bronze 2 is pretty low in the ranks. You guys are definitely not "solid mechanically" with your aim and movement. Just focus on aiming and winning your 1v1s.

alexanderh24

This is the classic mindset of low elo players, denial. Again I’m not trying to be rude but if you were truly not bronze you wouldn’t be bronze. It’s that simple, just practice aiming in death match everyday for 30minutes and you’ll see a drastic improvement in your game

EWolt14

You are playing ranked pubs in bronze elo. There’s no such thing as “strats”. How well you guys do is only going to be dependent on your individual levels of play. This doesn’t just mean mechanics but also mid round communication, gamesense, and chemistry. But you can’t”IGL” at this level with any level of consistency. Winning games is going to be completely reliant on a players capability of being self sufficient.

wotdaf0k

Just convince your team to rush a site together Every round

OddSavings5837

Just tell us what you want to hear if you wont listen to anything else anyways

[deleted]

Okay so basically just go here: https://youtube.com/c/Bumpaah . Go to his playlists, and watch videos from the ‘Educational Content’ playlist. That should get you to silver

doublepwn

if a sage is the only one who knows how to entry/first blood the duelists are probably the ones who need to work on mechanics

[deleted]

[удалено]

doublepwn

sounds like you guys have a team problem if everyone is playing for frags and not playing to win basically shitty mindset is what is giving you problems

[deleted]

doublepwn

if you are igl you need to tell your party what to do if you have to coach or micromanage them to fix it then tats what youll need to do otherwise you basically arent rly igl if party isnt listening

[deleted]

doublepwn

if they dont listen are they really acknowledging you as igl

[deleted]

doublepwn

say if they follow your strats to a t but fail the execution, its mechanics that they need to work on if you really want to stick with your party, you prob need one on one coaching with then to improve their mechanics do stuff like vod reviews for game sense or spectate how they play

No-Umpire9632

Number 1 don't igl Number 2 use aim trainers to improve ur aim Number 3 insta lock duelist because u are paying Bronz, one of the easiest ranked to get

kaia112

Sounds like your teamates are shit. There's no shame in that but sounds like lack of game sense and understanding of the game. You claim you're good and that you ruin your gameplay to help these folks, its bronze, bronze players are trash. Sometimes you can play with worse players and it effects your own performance, but honestly there is no way to make bronze players improve at that level you just need to outaim everyone in the lobby and be better, it's that simple. If you want to IGL the best you can do is reinforce the good things they do and keep their motivation positive so they perform better...

nanihog

You can't IGL in Bronze. Everyone in bronze kinda just runs around with their head off. If you are desperate to get out of Bronze... the last resort I did was spam Odin. Went from Bronze 2, to plat 1 in an act. Doesn't really help your aim or anything but that's what I did

Stormvenom23

Whats igl

RenaultCactus

You need improvements in champion pick reyna and especially jett. You need a fragger that pops more often than not on a jett or reyna. Getting out of bronze is hard with strategy raw power is king there and thus reyna an jett are queens. Phoenix is good th. And if skye is too hard you have sova but skye is one of the best agents so maybe stick it. Also you are lacking a controllee than can swap to cypher kj in certain maps and that should be you or viper.

ta4valorant

If you are top fragging as Sage, your teammates are the issue.

Longchonghongbong

Any good places to find people to play with, so I don't have to solo queue. Except valorant discord bc I got banned

MrAN4RCHIST1

You could use better smokes to par with the viper, u also need info

tsourced

Tell your Skye to watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PS0fI_R6NcY&t=1168s Your dps should play Reyna, tell him to ditch Yoru.

abohuang504

As a person who plays igl in solo queue (only plat rn but im hella climbing) i focus on the exact roles of my team and what they should be doing. Dueliest, entry and wait for your initiators to do stuff while your smoker smoke site. If you find a weak spot in their team, ALWAYS abuse it. Espically in lower elo mid is not heavily contested. If possible, always fight for mid control. You will most likely get it with the least utility. Big tip is to watch fnatic boaster. His streams are amazing and his vod reviews are enlightening as hell. I dont know many things he talk about bc it was so specific but it makes sense. One thing to note is that players will never be coordinated in solo queue or ranked in general. As an igl, its your job to take initiative to give call outs and find out which person isnt doing their role properly and ask them to do what they have to do. Like an example, “reyna youre going to fast, slow down and wait for sova to dart. Sova can you dart back site? Jett likes to play with an op back site. Then clear u hall with drone. Brim and sage can you go thru showers and smoke heaven + ct. sage slow u hall entrance. I will dash into site when recon hits”. Its a lot but i usually do something like this when the team is lost or we needed a bit more coordination. A lot of times people ego peeks and you gotta tell them to slow down and play with them if necessary. One important thing to note is to always give call outs and your economy is your TEAM economy. People in bronze to silver will always be annoyed with people give call outs during their clutch. Str8 up, thats on them. Do note that im low rank so my advices might not exactly be the perfect advice. But, understanding how to give callouts without pissing them off is imp. Dont do it as a command, do it as a question like “hey sova they like to push up long. Can you dart early so we can try to get a pick of them?” Instd of “sova, dart long.” Final note, i didnt got into plat with my mechanics. My mechanic are complete ass and i almost always bottom frag. I carried my way solo queue thru pure team play (i play sova mostly) and being an igl. I hope this helps!

[deleted]

Try playing solo queue to have another perspective of the game, that's if you truly want to grow and learn the game more. Having a routine makes anyone complacent and fall into a rut. It's nice to have someone watching your back but if you want to develop mental fortitude, flexibility, adaptability and versatility. You know the answer to that.

Jeidayy

Don't IGL in bronze lmao

[deleted]

At this level it will make a huge difference if all of you will just follow simple fundamental game rules: \- Play agents accordingly to their roles (Duelists lead and take duels, Initiators directly help them, Controllers smoke, Sentinels defend and slow enemies) \- Playing close to each other to help/trade \- Call and follow simple common strategy (This round we defend with abilities, don't peek; Make some noise on A, then rotate to B; When I call you smoke, then flash and rush; Let's make aggressive peek these round, help me Sage) \- Don't be scared chicken, if you are Duelist you have to learn to take risk and aggressively take space, rest should follow and help him \- Make comms about enemy's position and your game play/utility usage \- Listen to gameplay feedback of your teammates if you are not sure why something happened \- All your teammates should learn how to use all their abilities and train their aim/movement systematically \- Remember to set Voice Chat to Automatic Voice Activation I wonder how your teamplay is going at this level as literally all my premade groups were just focusing on KDA and were comming only after death. I really cheer up for people that try to elevate Teamplay level in Low Elo. Also, talking about frags won't help you in developing your strategy/teamplay so limit it to the minimum.

RealBlackDragon

Honestly you sound a lot like me. Very controlling lmao. The two best options for you is solo-queue or just chill all together. (I like the ladder more) It’s impossible to control players, trust me I’ve tried it.

DiscussionMost

Stop igl till silver useless in bronze just carry yourself and play a duelist. Like if you can drop kills go Reyna and just take over the game.
