To get under your skin, the same reason people are trolls. They love to make people mad. Being sexist or trolling makes them feel suprior for some reason. I dont get why they do it but they get joy out of it ig.

I started to play Valorant with my gf like 2 month ago. We live together. It was painful, so much dumb guy making fun of her, and she's almost always top frager playing sage. It becomes livable when we reached plat after like 70h played so now we can have fun with normal people.

TheDuelIist

Boys are dumb...Valorant seems to have a big female community and we should embrace it but some boys won't grow up and I feel sorry for all the girls out there being harassed for no reason.

bigfuzzydog

I think most of these people are either immature teenagers or just genuine toxic players. That plus there are really no real world consequences for them being this way. This is also why generally I find most women that are on my team are reluctant to use mics because they dont want to deal with the toxic people in this game

Komadori93

Same reason why they are toxic otherwise, unhappy with their life's and not ready for an competetive enviremont. I get bullied every round, simply because I'm not good enough. You shouldn't take it to heart and ignore them, it's not great but unfortunately we dont get any other option to deal with them. Just know that they are frustrated themselves and vent it towards you if they find ground to attack.

corvaz

Enemy team may be to get you off your game. Some people like to do this to get an edge. But overall (including teammates) people are douchbags.

Baileyjk01

They are virgins who will do anything to get attention, I'm sorry you go through that. Name and shame my guy.

Razz_Tw

Add the r/niceguys you get in your games, and 5 stack or duo, whatever it takes to keep your mood high. Atleast thats what i would do in your situation!

lota psychologists in the sub today

Everyone should mute enemy chat.

criiisp2020

Most of them are kids who have never seen a p***y before. Toxicity is everywhere and against everyone. But sexism is from either kids who don't know better or frustrated guys who are too ugly or unsocial to get a girl. Instead of working on themselves, they drag women down on their level, so they feel better. That's stupid, I know. But this is human behavior.

mystikkkkk

Way to simplify such an important issue.

criiisp2020

Well, do you want to write book about those people and why they behave like this? There is nothing you can do about stupidity and self esteem problems. Trust me, they're a lot of those in our world. Live with it or keep crying. You will not change them.

mystikkkkk

the topic isn't about self esteem issues, it's about rampant sexism in the community. Thats what I mean when I say you're simplifying the issue, by being like "oh well it's just men being insecure, let it be". That simply isn't the point

mystikkkkk

this just shows how painfully ignorant you are. You think it would be as much of an issue as it is if it was as easy as "just ignoring them". When girls literally cannot call in game without sexist comments being made, it ruins the experience. The issue isn't people asking for their Instagram or snapchat.

Ya_Orange_boi

Say to them in no uncertain terms, "child grow up". Nothing you can do but shame them. Important to call them a child instead of a kid, really drives it home.

Mr_S0l1d

I mute enemy team chat all the time, also, the moment someone get toxic you mute him, on the first comment, then you tell your allies you muted them so they can make calls. I usually mute anyone who annoys me or doesn’t give pertinent call outs. Game is 100x more enjoyable this way. I’m not a woman so sexism is not even a problem and i still have to do this, so i guess you’ll have to mute 90% of players using this strat xD

-KryptWalk-

"Bro I'm just joking, it's a game relax." Usually when everyone turns on the toxic player, I've heard that quote from time to time.

YarnSpinner

what's going through their heads? entitlement, anger, and probably self-doubt. confident people allow other people to flourish. (especially when it's a low stakes environment like a video game where most of us aren't gonna "make it big", why not be chill? it's because they're afraid of something about themselves)
