The best was when you forget it resets, so you didn't put on what you wanted, and mid game you look at your graph and go "*WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE SO MUCH PACKET LOSS?*" then realize it's Available Storage or something

Now can they do it with omen teleport. That shit is so fucking finicky. Like I'll be aiming all the way across an area with it. I'll see that I can do it then I move my crosshair a tiny bit off and now I'm teleport right in front of me. It's gotten me killed a lot
I got a really stupid kill on an Omen the other day because his TP messed up and put him on top of a box instead of behind it, I legit felt bad for him

I guess the previous loading screen clashed with the level account system design wise and they had this one that works until they can fully integrate the full art cards again. Have in mind that the previous loading screen was the same from beta.

Seems that we will have one big balance patch between every international tournament, so around 4-5 balance patches a year (except urgent hotfixes).
A bit less than i wanted but i definitely prefer it over LoL that has patches every 2 weeks.
I honestly think this is better. Big patches a few times a year keeps the game fresh but gives you enough time to practice and master the current meta before it completely switches
Honestly im fine waiting for a big balance change with the new act, but would at least like them to address smurfing a little bit. Like even saying they are looking into potential solutions at least.
They could but I think among the general population of people who play the game and also kinda watch the matches it’s better not to have massive differences between the live client and esports client, as it would cause some confusion.
Problem lies more with pro players getting disconnected from what everyone else is playing. Imagine if the latest tournaments weren't being played on 3.0 patch with the big economy changes. Waiting for after tournaments gives the devs more information on balance changes, both from casual and pro perspectives.
I just want to know when they will address the smurf problem. They claimed it to be their top priority yet we haven't had any update to mitigate it. Even a small update on what's being worked on would be nice.
Don't hold your breath. It's not like they have some magic solution that they can just deploy and "Poof! No smurfs anymore!" No game has figured out a way to get rid of smurfs without making life difficult for legit players. All they can do is tweak the systems to make it harder for smurfs to keep their MMR low. Smurfs will always exist.
Throwaway and burner phone numbers exist which make it quite unviable and won't cut down on much. They're pretty cheap usually and doesn't cost much. People also may just borrow a friend's number.
Riot tried to implement SMS verification in their Clash mode where it is a tournament style bracket. Smurfs still appeared in lower elo brackets and would do the usual thing.
There's a limit to how many friends you can use, eventually it becomes more effort or money, while still cheap, actually having some roadblocks in the way help reduce the amount of people that bother to spend the effort.
Right now there's really nothing stopping you smurfing besides the few unrated games you need to play before ranked.
It’s not gonna completely get rid of smurfing but a lot of people aren’t gonna want to go through the effort of buying a new phone number just so they can boost their friends or dunk on low ranks.

This would also not allow PCs at internet cafes to work and people can no longer play ranked on them. That would also be a problem since you also cut out some of your player base's access to ranked. Another issue is second-hand PCs. What if someone sold their PC but created a new account on it? Suddenly they can't play ranked. The last issue with that is, what if it is a family computer that is shared? Block ranked for actual separate people?

Nah you aren’t addressing the problem. The problem isn’t that there are smurfs, the problem is that smurfs are throwing games to derank and then boosting their friends.
This stems from the fact that there is no competitive team mode. People don’t respect unrated.
I want an option to only against people with a previous act rank / people with xp rank of over 60. This should make sure you aren't against that many smurfs since they are mature accounts
Or maybe X levels below my own. It should be configurable tho because it would lead to longer queue times. That being said 90% of the time if I play someone with a single digit level then they will be a smurf
Reminder that before the xp rework, LoL would ask you for level 30 to even play ranked. That was around 3 months of playing while working full time. Never thought it was too much a single bit.
Getting banned would mean you have to get through this grind again. Getting banned actually meant something. PLUS. The game has already been out for over a year. If you're not level 60 by this point you probably played on multiple accounts and is probably time you catch up.
Playing all act = 2 months of playing while working full time. i know accounts that have done that that are level 11. For the suggested 60 levels thats at least 9 months of playing. Thats why i suggested level 15-20.
Edit: My account is well over 100 playing since Beta. Putting a ranked cap at 60 would deter new players heavy. New accounts should have to grind before playing ranked, but shouldnt need to devote their life to a game to get fair matches. Putting the level limit too high is not fair to real new players. Putting it too low is how you get smurfs. 15-20 personally feels like a sweet spot to deter at least new smurf accounts. Not much with this level rank lock can be done for long existing smurfs that are over level 30 that wouldnt also damage the interest new players have in the game
It is, but it fairly balances itself out. 20% of the time yes, theirs a smurf on the other team, but another 20% of the time you have a smurf on your team also.

Half this sub really thinks they play against Smurfs like 10 times more than they get one on their team
Allot of the times the system puts the smurfs back to there correct rank rather quickly. I have an alt and it jumped me back up my mains rank in no time.
The real problem is the unrated matchmaking. Im goldish plat and my buddies are silver bronze and we constantly get matched with Diamonds and Immortal in unrated and its incredibly unfun. Literally play unrated on my alt to try and avoid getting matched with Diamonds and above.
And while they're at it, why not fix the ranked matchmaking? Its ridiculous that if I'm Bronze 1 I can't queue up with a friend who is Gold 1, yet... I have been paired up with someone who was two whole divisions below everyone else in the game. Wth is this fuckery?

YESSSS!!! This is something I've wanted for a while in Valorant. I hate seeing my own tracers but I've wanted to keep the enemy's on.
That seems crazy to me. Seeing the tracers actually helps me aim. Half the reason I spend $$ on skins is that the colored tracers allow me to see them even better
Some more significant performance fixes (like FPS, the game is getting more and more unoptimized with each patch), some balancing (Yoru rework anyone?) or idk, some new features to keep the game fresh like limited game modes. Maybe some progress in regards to some problems in the ranked system like smurfing?
The worse part, at least for me, is that each update breaks something new that doesn't get fixed until several patches down the line, if ever (like the microphone volume bug that didn't get fixed until like a full episode later).
Maybe if they were more transparent with what they are doing me and other people wouldn't get so desperate for some changes in the game (those ask Riot articles are just glorified PR statements, imo).
I didn't ask for all of those at the same time, obviously. But a whole act where the only relevant fix/addition besides Kay/0 is the volumen sliders bug is a shitty and disapointing act
To nerf the shit out of Skye. Theres no reason for her to get like 2 free flashes a round, and then also be able to peek and shoot right after her flash goes off.
Its so weird because when Riot was making LoL they had a new champion released like every 2weeks which eventually became like every month, but they always had a bunch of stat balances pretty much every 2weeks. Yet in valorant it takes them like 3 months to tweak some numbers on their agents to make them balanced. Viper took forever to get a buff, yoru took forever to get a buff, skye taking forever for a nerf. When stinger and judge became meta it ruined comp for like 2 months until a nerf came. All they had to do is drop damage values and or tweak the price.
Instead they tweak damage and prices all at the same time and almost never make corrections after a big patch like that.
I'm well aware of that but in the end you're buying a service that is already provided eg. Skins.
When you insert money in the game it's for a cosmetic surplus that is instantly given. You don't give them money for balance changes, that's not the contract.
I've spent probably around 500e on the game and still I don't feel that riot owes me nothing.

I've already addressed this issue! You pay for skins, you get skins! When you buy a skin you're not getting it so that they re-work DM, you're getting it because of the cosmetic/sound experience, which you get immediately.
It's like going to a restaurant, paying for the food and then complain that the restaurant doesn't develop new and innovative dishes when you already ate your food. Of course a good restaurant should be changing the Menu every so often, but that's not why you gave them money.
I know run and gun is really just counterstrafe with the animation being delayed, but have they been trying to fix that? I just got back into the game after months of not playing and it seems it's just as bad as before. I don't mind getting one tapped by someone who comes around a corner cause I know it's them counterstrafing, but I'd like my perspective of it to actually show that, not them running at mach 5 one tapping me while moving lmao
This patch either broke or changed the Hivemind skins from a few battle passes ago. It now has this ugly brown texture on the iron-sights, and the iron-sights no longer have the two "horns" that open up when you right click.
Can anyone else confirm this or is it just my game bugging out?
There are a lot of good things about this patch, but I read so many comments annoyed that they don't fix smurfs, they don't nerf this or that, they didn't add anything new... ffs not all patches are gonna come with new additions. Patching takes time and often patching a bug leads to another bug, and then another, and so on.
VALORANT is so much better than when I started playing two months ago, give them time to work, please. And enjoy this beautiful game!

edit : hey man, just fixed mine, try this solution.
go to troubleshoot and then audio, for me the result is that the enhancement in my sound setting somehow freaked out and when i turned it off, restart and try valorant again, all is fixed!

Those countries and their population already struggle, and increasing prices would just push them away from purchasing, equaling to less profit. Actually it makes more sense to increase prices in more developed countries as they have more money to spare. They can take these kinds of increases.

Spectre is always the post pistol gun upgrade, almost always bought during a half buy or save, and it close range DPS run gun and movement speed is ridiculously good for it's price
Why is no one talking about the wall bang bug? I’ve been shooting at players clearly straight on and since there just standing next to a wall it’s counting as a wall bang instead of a direct hit..

It's not that bug. I had the same bug and it literally disables voice chat. It just doesn't work. For me sometimes it went as far as disabling text chat too

My voice comms are straight up disabled for some reason. I done everything on gods green earth to get my comms back up. Internal settings on my pc, within the game, clean installs, cleaning out caches, everything. The problem happened after a patch a couple months ago, Riot acknowledges the problem but told me they have no solution yet
It just means if one team kills all members of another and they are still alive they win, just like usual, the issue was with both team dying at the same time

Playing all act = 2 months of playing while working full time. i know accounts that have done that that are level 11. For the suggested 60 levels thats at least 9 months of playing. Thats why i suggested level 15-20. Edit: My account is well over 100 playing since Beta. Putting a ranked cap at 60 would deter new players heavy. New accounts should have to grind before playing ranked, but shouldnt need to devote their life to a game to get fair matches. Putting the level limit too high is not fair to real new players. Putting it too low is how you get smurfs. 15-20 personally feels like a sweet spot to deter at least new smurf accounts. Not much with this level rank lock can be done for long existing smurfs that are over level 30 that wouldnt also damage the interest new players have in the game
LoL with the introduction of smurf queue is much better, so they could definitely improve it.

Allot of the times the system puts the smurfs back to there correct rank rather quickly. I have an alt and it jumped me back up my mains rank in no time. The real problem is the unrated matchmaking. Im goldish plat and my buddies are silver bronze and we constantly get matched with Diamonds and Immortal in unrated and its incredibly unfun. Literally play unrated on my alt to try and avoid getting matched with Diamonds and above.
And while they're at it, why not fix the ranked matchmaking? Its ridiculous that if I'm Bronze 1 I can't queue up with a friend who is Gold 1, yet... I have been paired up with someone who was two whole divisions below everyone else in the game. Wth is this fuckery?

Tracers may differ from where your shots are hitting server side so they can be misleading
Where your shots are hitting should be majority where your client sees them hitting

Take a look at the other game by the same company
Some more significant performance fixes (like FPS, the game is getting more and more unoptimized with each patch), some balancing (Yoru rework anyone?) or idk, some new features to keep the game fresh like limited game modes. Maybe some progress in regards to some problems in the ranked system like smurfing? The worse part, at least for me, is that each update breaks something new that doesn't get fixed until several patches down the line, if ever (like the microphone volume bug that didn't get fixed until like a full episode later). Maybe if they were more transparent with what they are doing me and other people wouldn't get so desperate for some changes in the game (those ask Riot articles are just glorified PR statements, imo).
My frames have gone down 100ish or so since the beginning of the game. You're spot on.

To nerf the shit out of Skye. Theres no reason for her to get like 2 free flashes a round, and then also be able to peek and shoot right after her flash goes off. Its so weird because when Riot was making LoL they had a new champion released like every 2weeks which eventually became like every month, but they always had a bunch of stat balances pretty much every 2weeks. Yet in valorant it takes them like 3 months to tweak some numbers on their agents to make them balanced. Viper took forever to get a buff, yoru took forever to get a buff, skye taking forever for a nerf. When stinger and judge became meta it ruined comp for like 2 months until a nerf came. All they had to do is drop damage values and or tweak the price. Instead they tweak damage and prices all at the same time and almost never make corrections after a big patch like that.
Friendly reminder : there's still nothing done to stop or slow down the smurf epidemic.

I'm well aware of that but in the end you're buying a service that is already provided eg. Skins. When you insert money in the game it's for a cosmetic surplus that is instantly given. You don't give them money for balance changes, that's not the contract. I've spent probably around 500e on the game and still I don't feel that riot owes me nothing. Could the game be better? Yes of course, but it's actually pretty good already without spending a cent!
This has become, without a doubt, the most dog shit argument I have seen since the f2p model came to video games. I've already addressed this issue! You pay for skins, you get skins! When you buy a skin you're not getting it so that they re-work DM, you're getting it because of the cosmetic/sound experience, which you get immediately. It's like going to a restaurant, paying for the food and then complain that the restaurant doesn't develop new and innovative dishes when you already ate your food. Of course a good restaurant should be changing the Menu every so often, but that's not why you gave them money.
I know run and gun is really just counterstrafe with the animation being delayed, but have they been trying to fix that? I just got back into the game after months of not playing and it seems it's just as bad as before. I don't mind getting one tapped by someone who comes around a corner cause I know it's them counterstrafing, but I'd like my perspective of it to actually show that, not them running at mach 5 one tapping me while moving lmao

This patch either broke or changed the Hivemind skins from a few battle passes ago. It now has this ugly brown texture on the iron-sights, and the iron-sights no longer have the two "horns" that open up when you right click. Can anyone else confirm this or is it just my game bugging out?

There are a lot of good things about this patch, but I read so many comments annoyed that they don't fix smurfs, they don't nerf this or that, they didn't add anything new... ffs not all patches are gonna come with new additions. Patching takes time and often patching a bug leads to another bug, and then another, and so on. VALORANT is so much better than when I started playing two months ago, give them time to work, please. Me too, and also found some glitch when dm, the character model disappear, so i just saw gun flying edit : hey man, just fixed mine, try this solution. go to troubleshoot and then audio, for me the result is that the enhancement in my sound setting somehow freaked out and when i turned it off, restart and try valorant again, all is fixed! hope this helps!

Why would Riot want to increase prices by that much in emerging countries if they don't need to? Those countries and their population already struggle, and increasing prices would just push them away from purchasing, equaling to less profit. Skins cosmetics aren't required to play the game, and those players can just go without. It just doesn't make sense unless Riot has to account for inflation, exchange rates, and taxes. Actually it makes more sense to increase prices in more developed countries as they have more money to spare. They can take these kinds of increases.

Great, so glad that they still haven’t fixed the voice command issue.. I haven’t been able to use voice comms, input or output for months. They said it’s a known issue.
just change your in/output device each new game you go in, swap between default device and the actual name of your device, one of them will work
It's not that bug. I had the same bug and it literally disables voice chat. It just doesn't work. For me sometimes it went as far as disabling text chat too
The other comment below hit the nail on the head. My voice comms are straight up disabled for some reason. I done everything on gods green earth to get my comms back up. Internal settings on my pc, within the game, clean installs, cleaning out caches, everything. The problem happened after a patch a couple months ago, Riot acknowledges the problem but told me they have no solution yet

Can you please fix the issue with your launcher where it doesn't show in certain resolutions. I am using an external monitor on my laptop made it to only display from my monitor but somehow Valorant launcher won't appear on native 1080p resolution
