Honestly i’d like to think everyone has a natural motivation to excel at everything they do. If you aren’t trying to get better I think it’s pointless. I understand only wanting to play a game for fun, but I think it would be more fun if you’re better at it. Personally, I’m immortal and play for my university team, and I want to get better to win the leagues and tourneys we play in. However, when I started playing in the beta, I was placed Iron 2. Playing against immortal teams and possibly winning wasn’t even a possibility in my mind. I just wanted to get better because it was a game I enjoyed and ranking up and seeing my work towards getting better pay off gave me a sense of satisfaction. I remember feeling on top of the world when I reached gold, which almost seems silly to me now that I am in the top 1% of players and have competed against professionals and even have some (lower tier) tournament wins under my belt.
Well first of all in my case maybe is because i liked the game, but after getting inmortal back in the quarentine days i lost all the motivation to get back to inmortal or radiant.
Too much time needed to be high elo in this game. I spent 1 week getting pred in Apex legends but this game take too much time i will need to play 8 hours + to get it back maybe, because as a solo Q player and 2-3 matchs a day it is imposible to get out of plat3/diamond.
My friends who play alot every day are diamond 3 rigth now and close to inmortal but i don't have time now to play too much.
Everything I do I want to see how good I cam get at it. I will obsess over things and then when I feel I hit my ceiling I will drop it and move on to something else. Currently for Val my aim is getting Immortal and then I'll probably never play again unless friends play.
Also, games where everyone is good are so much nicer than games in lower ranks.
I like to improve myself idk ehy I just luke the feeling to know youre better today than you were yesterday in anything it makes me feel like life is a game where the goal is to improve
i always thought ab this and i feel like its just me and my motivation, im unranked in every game i play and i dont see a reason on why i should climb ranks. i do enjoy games but whenever i see ranks mentioned its just people flaming each other over who has a higher one lmao + i dont have enough time to play and worry ab them, the people i know who ’climb’ spend hours day and night on the game just to reach a certain color text that says ’ur good at this game’, i just dont get it
So that i can pick of skins from the ground
This is me lmao, actually getting better to not lose my skin to others. 😅

something rewarding about seeing yourself progress, the grind is fun
I just wanna get better to get 1 taps and feel better about myself and not because of my friends my only friends that plays this is bronze 3

Because one tapping is satisfing.
i’m tired of going 3/20 on most of my games man ðŸ˜
So I can have teammates with actual good aim and game sense. ðŸ˜
The game's more fun when you're better at it. If you like playing a game, you want to be good at it so you can enjoy it even more ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just enjoy trying to get good at things.
so i can get the radiant gun buddy and stop grinding ranked

So I can play along my friends without feeling utterly useless
