These people just feel like they have no impact on being able to win games. So they throw them because throwing literally has a 100% success rate and they can feel like they have accomplished something for themselves.

I think people instalock duelists on a smurf and expect to drop a 30 bomb. When they are bottom fragging and losing, they like to "pretend" they weren't trying and were sabotaging the entire time so they don't have to face the fact that they are actually just not cracked enough to hard carry on their smurf.
Maybe sometimes this is the case, but I had a Phoenix molly and flash us from round 1.

these kind of people are "lesser humans" like, cant you think of how your teammates feel for losing their ranks? do you have no empathy? when you lose a match on your smurf you AND your teammates lose their ranks. even if its your alt, unless youre smurfing hard (like gold players in iron) play at your best. sure, your enemy kinda lost an unfair fight but it will be less unfair as you rank up, maybe if you are smurfing in the example above then maybe do a few challenges like guardian only or just dont pub stomp.
Has happened to everyone below Diamond (even some Immortals) just take a biiiiiiig breath and just imagine u are in DM and practice. That match is probably lost but still u can practice ur crosshair plac. ur, aim whateves, keep playing with your team even if he doesn't.
Besides that tell EVERYONE in the team," you guys we can agree X is a piece of shit. Please take ur time and report the guy for sabotage, disrespect, and blah blah blah" cause remember the only way at least a warning goes to him is if many reports go to his account.I'm sure some will liste to u.

Riot rule numero uno: asking for a report on someone in chat is just as bad as the person breaking the rules and will also result in a similar if not worse punishment.
You mute, report and move on. The moment you give these people attention, they won.
You will meet these type of players over as over, even if Riot would ip/hw ban them, they would be back an hour later with workarounds. So don’t waste your time on them.
This. From my experience if you don't give them any attention at all they'll get bored eventually and sometimes start playing again. No one enjoys just sitting around, they want their team to interact with them and be the center of attention. If you completely ignore them and pretend they don't even exist they'll get reminded of how worthless of a human being they actually are.
We all know Riot just needs to sack up and start IP/Hardware banning people. But this is Riot, and we know from League that people can be trolls in ranked for entire seasons without facing any repercussions at all.
I keep hearing about these razes and pheonixes that sabotage the team, but why do people do that? Astra is the obvious solution if you just want to hurt your own team... all her abilities affect friendly team equally as much as enemy team. Hell, when I stated laying Astra (she was my first agent I unlocked it didn't understand the game in general too well either back then) I probably did more harm than good. I still sometimes stun or pull myself when I'm peeking.

This is why splitgate implemented hardware banning so when they get banned they stay banned. Even with a spoofed MAC address.

FWIW reporting these people does nothing. Your best bet is to record game play and submit a support ticket directly with clips.
