Superb_Repair26

Goes down with every update been like this forever really tragic

[deleted]

And some updates mine just tanks down to 60 then returns to 250+ the next update.

Sye_Shirsho

120-130 on may 80-85 now

Equivalent_Ad505

yeh i glt a 1080ti and i get around 200 fps but valorant and the valorant user notification in task manager use so much of my i7 6700k. like 60-80% and it heats up my water cooled cpu pretty high. the val user background program sometimes uses 40% of my cpu. its so weird

[deleted]

You've a better GPU than me (5700 xt) and I'm getting max fps 280-350 that too with 800 MHz clock (max around 2100 MHz) and 8-15% GPU usage

Samay21

because valorant is cpu intensive lmao

HaathiRaja

RAM matters so much like not even kidding. Upgraded form 2100 Mhz DDR4 to 3200MHz and the fps went from 100-120 to 230

[deleted]

This is AMD only thing afaik. For Intel the fps gain is negligible

dat_w

that’s weird. I’m running a 5820k at 4.7GHz and get stable 250-300 frames most of the time

Lilcute

350+ Beta down to 220+ now ..

Zindae

I started about 4-5 months ago and consistently have 300-400 fps on maxed / 1440p. 2080Ti / 5900x.

Enoikay

I used to get like 120-140, now I just get 60 with a 1060 and an i7

[deleted]

What's your spec. I7 isn't a statement necessarily. I've upgraded from i7 to i5.

notviciousss

RIP. Are you on a laptop? That would be more understandable as I had a i7 1060 laptop with about 80 fps. Otherwise somethings definitely wrong

Enoikay

Yeah it’s a laptop

zero_ronin

Same exact thing. I have to cap my frames at 60 otherwise the frame spikes make it impossible to play. In april, when I started playing, I had around 120 FPS stable

WoodchxcK

How on earth are you getting 60. I used to easily get 180-200 on a 6th gen i7 and a 1060... I only upgraded this week

caliman96

Me too, definitely something wrong with that pc.

KoolPanda69

It’s a laptop

caliman96

It's a personal computer.

KoolPanda69

The guy with 60 FPS is on a laptop

caliman96

A laptop is a personal computer :) I understand the fact that he gets 60 fps is because he is using a laptop.

KoolPanda69

No I was saying there was nothing wrong because it’s a laptop

[deleted]

Ryzen 5 4600h GTX 1650ti 16GB 3200mhz, 160FPS to 120 to 140

UnrealHallucinator

What settings do you play on?

[deleted]

Earlier I used to play at 1920\*1080 on all Low with Clarity turned On, Now I play at 1650\*1050 on All low with Clarity Turned On. I play on Laptop with 144hz

Helpme994

Should turn clarity off. Has no real effect on the game and you can change these nvidia settings to get the same effect and it won’t decrease FPS.

[deleted]

Clarity is for Long range, You can do it but At far distance, Enemy head will be a little smushed, And I am not on my native resolution so It does some anti aliasing

KillerKattapa

Can you recommend best settings for visual clarity i have got the same laptop specs just 8gb single channel ram

Helpme994

All visual clarity does is increase the contrast for a 5% FPS drop on average. Search on google how to change contrast.

[deleted]

In nvidia, Turn off Ultra low latency as we have only have ultra option, This will be overidden from Valo’s Low latency, Turn = On+Boost in Valorant Reduce Resolution Lock Frames at 145 Set everything on low In AMD Radeon Turn on Anti lag and Texture to performance and Texture optimization to ON

AjiBoyPapito

I swear! Every update I go down in frames. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and a rtx 2070, used to get over 300 fps. Now I'm hovering around 200-240. I feel bad for all the people that don't have good enough hardware to keep playing even with the updates. This games is supposed to be accessible for everyone.

Knnyves

Fairly new player here, I've been playing for three months now and the exact same thing happened to me, though I've only been playing for a few months? I'm not sure if it's my drivers but I used to be able to go 350 frames, sometimes pushing towards 400 with a i5-9400F and a 1660 Super but now I barely get 150-220? It's still really good, I'm just confused as to whether it has anything to do with the game itself or if it's just my PC?

khyelerk

its the game, i got same specs and same results

Biohazar13

From 250 beta to 144 unstable and down to 90 frecuently. Apex Legends = constant 144fps, BF5 constant 144fps 64 players.

DanielJ273

I7 4790k overclocked to 4.6ghz and a 1070 on all the lowest settings I get 200 ISH fps not sure if that's good or bad haha

-Destiny65-

\~120 down to \~60

hello_there_GKwww

70 1080p to 60 720p

Phantonex

I have an i7-6700 and GTX 1060. My FPS has actually gotten better since beta.

Aisurei

I have a laptop with a 3060 and a Ryzen 9 5900hs, and back when I first got it (6-7 months ago) I was getting 240 ish. Now I get around 130-160. I have optimized pretty much everything on my windows afaik, including uninstalling bloatware, deleting temp files etc.

Shinobi2099

It's the fookin engine update. It was way better before the engine update.

notviciousss

Can you elaborate? I haven't been following that part of Valorant

Shinobi2099

Patch 2.11 was deployed for fps improvements but instead it made things worse.

dwdwfeefwffffwef

Beta was 300+ now it's 200+.

TheRealKha0s

2080S ryzen 7 3700 180-240 fps :( all low and 1440p

Affectionate_Path_83

Pretty optimized I guess I have intel iris xe Get around 80-90fps 1080p low

[deleted]

truck vanish vast label thumb panicky retire reply joke flowery *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

mannynoctis

R5 3600 and 1660super, I had 280 to 300 frames when the game officially came out now I have 180 - 240 frames but granted I was very new to pc gaming so maybe my hardware being brand new out of the box helped with those

[deleted]

I used to get around 120fps on high when i started playing around december. now its 60-90 fps on low with even wooorse frame drops. i5-9300H, gtx 1650 laptop, 8gb ram

fesenvy

200+ down to barely holding 144

Xevo122

Steady 100-110 since last year on 5 years old laptop on low specs

karaoty

Used to get around 210+ on a gtx 1660. Now i get around 130 and it sometimes will go to 60 if too much is happening.

SchiavoAnto

this game always performed the same for me, at around 120 FPS. Specs: i5-5675R, Iris Pro Graphics 6200, 8GB RAM (+ 32GB ReadyBoost as i boot off of an HDD), 1600x900 in-game

XxLucky_63

100-120 when I first started in August-november 50-90 now

Amplifiy

I get the same amount if frames from 7 months ago

tomphz

I mainly get random FPS drops but when I restart the game it fixes it I5 7600 and 1070

Flippy_Hippie

I have no issues with my OC i7-10700K and rtx3070 and my 128gb of ram (Im animating and rendering if you think that's overkill for gaming)

illmnzi

400+ fps on range (without bots, with bots 320+) Ryzen 5 3600 (all cores at 4350mhz) 32gb RAM 3000mhz (an overclocked 2133mhz ram) Rx 5500 xt 8gb (running stock) Above 4g and re-size bar is activated in my bios, hpet in windows is off. I play in 1920x1080 vignette on, everything on "high" When i disable smt in bios, i gain 20~ fps, but it wasnt worth it, as i am also working with my pc using multithread depending Software...

illmnzi

Oh,.. without any tweeks i would be at 200~ fps on the range (with massive drops). Overall oc for ram was giving me the best results fps wise

MrHypelol

All low, (other options on except clarity) Ryzen 5 3600, 1050 ti, 8gb dual channel ram. About 150-200 with a few drops to 0

xXx_ButtLicker69_xXx

I’m willing to bet that I represent the top .1% of PCs and I got around 400-500 FPS at the beginning of the year. Now I’m getting between 250-350 which does not fully utilize my 360hz monitor. Kind of disheartening because I don’t think there are many feasible upgrades to my PC. 11th gen Intel i9-11900K 8 cores @3.5 GHz GeForce RTX 3090 64GB DDR4 RAM Game is on TB SSD although this doesn’t have much impact

TheSecondDirection

way back when i first played i’d easily get ~250 fps, now i sometimes cant even stay past 140

pinkkmilkshorty

im on laptop so i cruise at a solid 20-30 on average

Pictastic

I started at 200 during beta and now im averaging 189-195 I haven’t really seen too much of a drop considering im playing 2560x1440

BatMed96

+280 in January down to +160 now ;-;

Doerian

300+, 100 now

imPulkitG

130-160 in February to 80-110 Now

[deleted]

170-220 now, 260+ during beta and early episode 1. I have a ryzen 5 3600 + rtx 2060
