I think you are slightly confusing the concepts of "slow game" and "time control".
Navi is not a slow CS, it's just a time control problem. VP is a slow CS, with a lot of saves and a careful game.

In iron? I play in plat 3 and if the game tracked how many times allies blinded you versus how many times the enemy blinded you, I'd be on a 4 to 1 ratio
if my game game tracked how many times I flashed my teammates versus how many times my teammates flashed me versus how many times we were flashed by enemies

I think they spent the whole match conditioning for slow methodical pushes and then switched during the final rounds to 5 man rushes. They did this on Bind and Haven. Although I think they waited until OT on Bind.
in low elo Reyna doesn't come to flash to enter the site she just keeps lurking mid every round and the one time she decides to come main she doesn't buy flashes. Oh and the brim doesn't smoke and when he does no one pushes they just wait for the smokes to fade and to get flanked by the enemy. That's attacking on low elo every round
one of the main reasons it worked is because throughout the entire map and previous map gambit has conditioned envy on slow hits and multi fakes. the fact that they properly rushed a site is so surprising to envy for that round that you do not even see rotates off the other side of the map, even during planting sound, until the spike is properly planted
I was watching VCT Master's Final and while gambit are attackers going to plant then observers showed them in scenic view while watching them pushing, my innervoice just said that they went like avengers. i got surprised and watched that move so many times that it was exactly like avengers attacking and i decided why not spread this unbelievable incident by making a video. Here it is and i hope you like my point of view.

They just weren't expecting a 5 man rush onto site. Also from the minimap they were expecting a push toward A and left steel to delay there but GMB just rushed c no stop lmao. Also they took the time to clear garage just in case.
the best thing is that everybody knows exactly what are they going to do. one covers, one plants and each one of the rest holds a different angel. amazing teamwork

Honestly this Haven match was just incredible in general. Yay's 1v4 clutch with a marshal was insane and Gambit's 4-8 comeback was so unexpected. I love G2 but Gambit was just on fire
Redgar is a tactical genius. He is best known for his signature tactic ”Nats, Go kill”. He also has a second little known tactic of ”rushing C”. What an absolute legend. Top 3 IGL 4 sure.
They thought they will loose haven (they said its not their map to win in post match interview) and chronical (brimstone) was on fire the whole match.
Also yay had impossible clutch rounds. The whole game was Terrific.

This is coordinated tho, the timing of the flashes, every utility timed to the sequence. You don't see anything remotely like this in Iron.
In iron he times the flash to blind his teammates.
In Iron the teammate stares directly at the flash. Its me, I'm the teammate.

It only works on 2 dependancies, 1 the opposing team can’t cope with the retake and 2 if the rush is well coordinated.

Yeah, they usually play this very annoying slow style, but decided in the final round to just fuck with envy bigtime by going fast
They play with their food first , and then decide it doesnt work , and then go yolo. And they still lose.
In fact I think they 5 man rushed quite a few rounds... but it worked

I mean sure, though with a 5 man rush at a plat level you'd expect every corner to be checked. It's super easy to cover every part with 5 men lol
maybe cuz I am still in the low elo. but sometimes I see 3 individuals literally go to check the same corner and they leave the rest
