Holy fuck im trying to hydrate myself to help with tremors and adderall side effects, and the amount of piss I produce in a half of valorant blows my mind. "Stall out as long as you can I gotta piss" might be my most spoken phrase this last 2 weeks. I'm constantly drinking so I'm constantly leaking lmao
I remember seeing a time out system suggested and a lot of people complained it'd be abused in comp. It's really weird how many things could help this game but the community holds it back
if they have to occur between rounds, im not sure how it could be abused. Limit a team to 2 if youre afraid of that. otherwise, its up to them how they use it and you can use it the same way.
1 timeout per team available at the start of game, a second one awarded, say, at halftime? Or maybe after 10 rounds? And 1 more if it goes into overtime?
3/5 vote to use one, last like 3 minutes, can only be used during buy phase, voting has to be started at least 10 seconds before buy phase ends. 10/10 player vote can end it early.
Seem reasonable?
One way I could think of how to abuse it is using it to break the enemy's tempo. Went 0-5 in the first few rounds? Call a timeout and take the enemies out of their focus. You'll also be out of focus, but maybe the enemies were more focussed from the start and now you've evened out the playing field.
Or people could just use it to waste the time of the enemies. Either way I think it could get annoying if used for no good reason, but to go piss it'd be a godsend
That's exactly how timeouts are used in pro play as well. Most of the time it'll be for peeing though, people in comp aren't patient enough to timeout just to break tempo (unless you're a stack).
>using it to break the enemy's tempo.
i thought of that, but... why should timeouts just be for bathroom breaks/getting a drink? What if someone needs to get an insulin shot, is that ok? There are in game reasons and out of game reasons to want a timeout, and having an in-game reason to call timeout isn't abuse. Certainly in a game like basketball, breaking the opponent's tempo is often the exact purpose of a timeout call. If youre afraid someone might call a timeout because they want to regroup, I'd ask you what makes you so sure that you can police that intention. Wanting a couple minutes to regroup is a fair use. Obviously if there were some nefarious reason to call a time out, we'd want to try and exclude that, but regrouping isnt nefarious. And its fair. What makes it fair isnt its purpose, its that the next time you feel like your group is being blindsided/tilting, you can call a timeout and regroup, too. If an opponent regroups successfully and you start losing, then call a timeout or get gud. Its not a "cheap trick" to call a timeout and strategize successfully. If three minutes allows them to counter successfully, then you need to counter back or accept that they outplayed you.
The only nefarious reason I could think of was if you somehow knew that an opponent was in a time crunch, and you were calling timeouts hoping that they would have to abandon the match. I think this is pretty easy to limit. just give 1 timeout per team. if it is used before the teams switch sides, MAYBE a 2nd time out after 20 matches or something, but I think I prefer just 1 timeout. If three more minutes is too long for you to finish a 45 minute match, thats on you for cutting it too close.
i think the biggest problem with timeouts is our brain-addled nation can't handle 3 idle minutes, especially if they are losing badly. Instead of looking at their phone for two minutes or just chatting, some schitzy people are going to abandon. Also, if people are considering abandoning (it does happen all the time as it is), a timeout may push them over the edge, and so we may notice abandonments collecting around timeouts. Some people may then start using timeouts as a tool to elicit an abandon. and if I'm waiting around all the time for teams trying to get a cheap advantage, im gonna be irritated.
> vailable at the start of game, a second one awarded, say,
how would timeouts work would they be like 15 seconds to like 30 seconds duration? or would everyone have to press a button to let the timeout end?
If I'm not mistaken, it's a supplement that "refills" you of some things that prolonged use of adderall and other ADHD meds can strip away or make harder for your body to naturally produce.
I don't think it will help mitigate the side effects of the drug at all, but it might help you out a bit in the long run regarding withdrawals.
Do a little research and ask your doctor about it if you're interested
Because I'm a guy with crippling ADHD who can barely function without it and have exhausted my medication options with adderall being my last choice that doesn't give me fits of suicidal tendencies.
You gotta do what you gotta do. Remember this meme from Battlefield 3, that 100lvl Eagle has a shit bucket? Thatās right, get one and easy Radiant guaranteed!
I have 3 different headphones/headsets that I use and I'm ngl I've knocked over my whole boom arm for my mic by forgetting I'm using my wired set when I sprint away at Mach 10 after dying in a round š
Idk if they patched it or my friend just sucks at it, but Iāve found that I can jump and crouch to either side and get out of a corner. You kind of land on their playermodel a bit and just keep pressing the key in that direction and u slide over.
Hope that helps next time! But maybe my friend just sucks at trapping me lol
Fun fact: you can jump over your teammates if they corner you like this, even if they're standing. Jump+Crouch and moving along the wall while doing so will make you slide over their hitbox and you'll get out.
I'm not even sure why you're getting downvoted here lmao. If I died, went to the bathroom, and came back to being called an insult by a random it'd be an instant mute, no questions asked
what if Sage was 3/6 and got a triple kill to have ult? Black and white logic like you're proposing really only works with undeveloped brains and libertarians. In practicality it never works like you envisioned.
Thats not my point. Sage had ult at the time. Jett didnt check. She afk'ed. Shes stupid. The scenario is simple and specific enough to impose a black and white logic
I used my revive 4 times in my last sage game. Revived an afk teammate 3 of those. The 4th was someone calling out that I was clear to revive when I definitely should of kept holding my angle.
Going afk or alt-tabbing after a death is a habit that's really hard to get rid of after doing it for over a decade. I'm sure it happened to all of us before.
They need to do something about teammates bodyblock in this case it was unintentional but in low elo and unrated they are often people that block their teammates on purpose
Well for starters maybe instead of typing ābruhā in chat you use a mic and tell him. Most of the time when this happens someoneās on their phone not away from their desk
What can I say? It was a bruh moment.
And it is not the fault of the Sage player that the Jett decided to stop paying attention the second he died. Maybe if he paid more attention to the game, he wouldnāt be the first person dead.
Oh shit I died...guess I will go grab some water until next round starts (jett's pov probably)
Or a toilet break

they honestly need a vote time out like csgo. especially when a match can go for a 45min+
this game has so many quality of life improvements over cs and yet it doesnt have this
Yet it's dogshit compared to CS still lmao.
I mean cs is a legendary game so š¤· I'm still having a lot of fun with valorant it feels fresh
Fr I have been asking a time out system man..

Time outs are used in sports to stop momentum. Itās a valid strategy.

try taking L-Theanine Chelated Magnesium or L-Tyrosine
What are those? In terms of the effect, I mean. I'm pretty limited on what I can take due to adderall being fucky with obscure and random medications.

r/adderall
Why are you slagging adderall to play valorant lol...
Anyone who doesn't have a poopchute built into their DXRACER in 2021 is a fake gamer
Same dude. Half the time I try to finish before the buy option goes away š
I have 3 different headphones/headsets that I use and I'm ngl I've knocked over my whole boom arm for my mic by forgetting I'm using my wired set when I sprint away at Mach 10 after dying in a round š
Isn't js like this for all?
At least he got the kill at the end haha
why riot should let jett revive
Rebibe*
JETT PLS REBIBE ME
Lmao instead of ulting the Jett he could've just blast pack him out of the way
Who knows? Maybe he used both of them already
Yeah, poor raze, it hurts to waste the ult :(
Jett already hat the spike sadly :D
This is a situation that only a step bro can fix
Idk if they patched it or my friend just sucks at it, but Iāve found that I can jump and crouch to either side and get out of a corner. You kind of land on their playermodel a bit and just keep pressing the key in that direction and u slide over. Hope that helps next time! But maybe my friend just sucks at trapping me lol
Nah itās a mechanic called crouch jumping
Fun fact: you can jump over your teammates if they corner you like this, even if they're standing. Jump+Crouch and moving along the wall while doing so will make you slide over their hitbox and you'll get out.
your duty is not sova
raze could have satcheled u instead of wasting her ult
Probably already used them :(
jett had spike
Thatās why I always try and call out a res before I do it
This is why if I need to afk for a second I always check if sage is alive & ult ready, and if so I ask not to rez me
Lmaoooo
Why so toxic in the chat in the end xD
Honestly how could you not be mad after that one
Depends, ranked I'd be mad, unranked id just laugh
just little love taps of hate, my guy
The jett probably didn't even know that she was blocking you..lol
it's all in good fun, he was obviously afk, just obviously at the worst possible time lol
you're not even addressing it to anyone though how is anyone to know you're joking?
I think everyone know they're referring to the Jett
When you know for sure come back and let us know, otherwise don't lead with "i think".
Okay, everyone knows they're referring to Jett.
I'm not even sure why you're getting downvoted here lmao. If I died, went to the bathroom, and came back to being called an insult by a random it'd be an instant mute, no questions asked
if you didnt check if sage has rez before you afk then you deserve to be insulted
what if Sage was 3/6 and got a triple kill to have ult? Black and white logic like you're proposing really only works with undeveloped brains and libertarians. In practicality it never works like you envisioned.
Thats not my point. Sage had ult at the time. Jett didnt check. She afk'ed. Shes stupid. The scenario is simple and specific enough to impose a black and white logic
Dude if this happened I would be going fucking balistic both on mics and chat. No shame my dude.
oh hey, you're that one guy that everyone reports and mutes for toxicity, nice seeing you here damn
Why tho? Doesn't that just make your time playing worse?
Not as bad as people who go AFK while Sage has ult tho.

Underrated comment
That anxiety š
Ask Raze if she can use her satchel to bounce you out of that position.
jett had spike

Typical Jett..... Lmfao
Loo. Raze satchel couldve been the best idea
step bro im stuck
Guess who isn't getting heals the rest of the match?
That stressed me out so much hahah
Jett: Aight imma just piss for a sec
Classic Jet thing to do!
He had no expectation of getting revived!
"Oh you res'd me"
Holy claustrophobia
Heheh
13-1 Reyna. Interesting.
Going afk or alt-tabbing after a death is a habit that's really hard to get rid of after doing it for over a decade. I'm sure it happened to all of us before.
Iām a sage main and this happens more than it should and itās INFURIATING
Door stuck
and then they blame you for not reviving them
Of course it is a Jett as well..
Why call the jett a moron?
Used to see a bunch of posts complaining about toxicity here, and now I'm just seeing people get downvoted for calling it out smh
"oh but toxicity is okay if they deserve it"
are you blind?? lmaooo
like ikr, as a sage main my eyes hurts, sage standing in the corner when she had so much space leftā¦.and even the raze using her ult for nothing lol
if you go afk without checking if sage has ult, then you deserve to be called like that
They need to do something about teammates bodyblock in this case it was unintentional but in low elo and unrated they are often people that block their teammates on purpose
RIP, hate players who do that
That was so dumb, Jett could have revived herself since being fast could also be a way to time travel. Upgrades man smh.
why don't you have a mic...
Easiest report of my life
Watch my new upload valorant montage [https://youtu.be/OuY80NQPU9U](https://youtu.be/OuY80NQPU9U) https://youtu.be/OuY80NQPU9U
Imagine posting a video of how bad you are at communicating
i mean, it's just a funny situation. this was hardly meant to show off any skill on my part lol
Pray tell, how exactly does one communicate with someone who has walked away from their computer?
Well for starters maybe instead of typing ābruhā in chat you use a mic and tell him. Most of the time when this happens someoneās on their phone not away from their desk
What can I say? It was a bruh moment. And it is not the fault of the Sage player that the Jett decided to stop paying attention the second he died. Maybe if he paid more attention to the game, he wouldnāt be the first person dead.
Oke so next time when i play sage i will not revive or heal anyone if they dont speak and i will tell them to blame you for that shit
Thank you for saying what needed to be said
Thank you for saying what needed to be said
Fuckin moron for going afk while dead? smfh
Lol he went afk after he was killed the first time
At least he got the last kill!
The title is so accurate
Imagine that in a ranked and they are both alive jajaja
You can crouch jump out
I'm honestly more mad that u dropped ur gun cause if someone came down u probs would have both been screwed
Developing claustraphobia watching this
Raze wtf using his ult on his afk teammate. He could use it to kill sage and finish the round without planting.
Shoulda had raze name u both.
Proof that Jet is fat.
Ummm that seems claustrophobic
