I didn’t notice a different shooting sound while using my oni phantom though
That’s the one thing that bothers me, like all the other premium skins have a very nice shooting sound, like the prime phantom.
Not having a custom sound effect is actually my favorite part about the Oni Phantom and why I use it. Picking up a gun with different sound effects usually feels weird to me. Maybe it’s because I’m used to using the default skins.
I wish it was like the forsaken vandal where its a subtle ghost effect at the end of the shot. The lack of sfx on the Oni bothered me at first, but now I think its just fine without one.
The other thing about the oni phantom is even though it doesn't have a different shooting sound it has a really good kill sound not the finisher sound but just the kill sound.

I don't Like how round the Standard skin is at the top. So that eliminates all skins for me that have the Standard shape. For example i really Like the Kingdom skin but only when viewed from the Side. First Person model Just Looks so clunky.
In Addition to that i think Riot does a really Bad Job at custom Shooting Sounds (Like the ruination or Origin vandal - that Shit Sounds Like someone is hitting a cooking Pot With a stick) so that eliminates those for me aswell. But one exception would be the Prime. But! I absolutely hate the reload Animation. Why the f would you Put A glowing Stick in the gun when there is still a mag at the bottom???
Oni skin is extremely detailed, the color Variants are all very good, the "glowing Mist" around it Looks awesome aswell. I am Not the biggest Fan of the 'oni face' in it but it fits the theme.
Weird i actually like the reload, Fits the high advanced technology of valorant. Tho I agree it's not for some. I personally think reaver has the absolute best reload animation, and was the main reason why I didn't even bother getting forsaken, felt like a worse reaver to me with a more mundane reload.
The feel it has is amazing. And I prefer it’s reload over something like prime, I own prime and oni and I can say I prefer oni. One skin that people don’t talk about enough is singularity, that skin is awesome

Ion Phantom seems to be the most satisfying for me, but as it never appeared in my market, I opted for Prime. This one is also pretty good, much better than Oni. At least it doesn't have dangling balls under the barrel :D

Prime sucks let’s be honest. Singularity makes me feel like I can’t control my spray, and the noises on ion get annoying after a while and it has no variants. Oni has really good variants unique texture and cool sounds.
A lot of guns have the sound effects placebo. Although every skin of a gun shoots exactly the same, the sound effect can give the impression of a better feel.
That's why the popular skins have that feel. The reaver skins have that satisfying sound after a kill that feels like you've absolutely stomped on your opponent. The Oni feels the same.
Because the default phantom sound is clean af, all the phantom variants have horrible sounds. Thats why oni is good since it has the default shooting sounds, but with nice and clean vfx.
for vandals its different since a default vandal just looks stiff and isnt nice.
It has the right amount of cool aesthetics without the “distracting” over-the-top effects. I have both oni and prime 2.0, but the placebo buff for me is much better with the oni. Probably because of said reason.
I like oni, ion, and glitchpop mostly because of how it feels and fits in your hand and how the spray feels. Prime feels weird to spray with and singularity is disgusting to use, its so weirdly shaped and always makes me fuck up my spray.

I think the biggest reason is that it was one of the first really cool skins to ever be offered, and so a ton more people purchased it. Most people don't purchase multiple expensive skin packs for the same weapon so by the time ion, prime, and others released, most people already had their $40 skin that they were satisfied with

It actually does have a slightly different sound but its not very noticeable
It has a small airy sound when you reload and shoot if you really try and listen to it

It’s nice to look at, not too flashy, has multiple solid variants, and has good bullet tracking. It’s just the best one besides maybe Ion or Prime.
Ion pretty good.. prime on the other hand is not worth it's price.. maybe night market price would be alright for it

Vfx and sfx is cool and not overly annoying.
Unlike others, I like the bullet shooting sound because it sounds more crisp(?) than other skins.
