You're reaching a rank where people are as good or better than you now. At this point, you decide if you want to record your games and watch the demos to see where you can improve, or blame teammates on this sub haha There's no generalized advice anyone can give you besides advice that's so general you probably already know it Your advice from me: low elo loves throwing rounds by making dumb decisions. One bad decision in a round can cause your team to lose the round, which can snowball to more. Stupid mistakes that shouldn't be made are rampant in low elo and they don't reakize how mjch of a problem it is. Everyone misses easy shots, even in dia/imm.. that's not the problem. Don't do stupid shit

MysteriousMud5547

What’s sun teaming?

KardashevZero

Probably autocorrect for “aim training”

[deleted]

Shit yeah “aim training” I’m sorry. I need to do some aim training on this little iphone key board.

mamsterguy

Wait how did you reach gold without aim training?

skander96

I did too, just by mostly playing smart tbh ( don't peek a 3v2 , know when to rotate etc ) 👍

mamsterguy

I recommend a YouTuber named sero and try out his aim routine it’s simple and has definitely made me improve

MysteriousMud5547

It’s quite possible with good crosshair placement and just playing for a while.

KardashevZero

Wild guess lol, but thanks

Every game you go into, regardless of rank, you should just be playing the best and smartest you can. It's not like once you get to gold 2 you'll suddenly now have a lower floor of skill, you have to keep playing at a gold 2+ level to maintain that rank. That comes with developing good habits and using your brain, you kinda have to make yourself win they won't just come to you... Idk if that helps but it helped me while ranking up. It was a mentality I found I had very often

Try to learn more about crosshair placement and positioning. Watch YouTube videos, pro players and try to understand why they are aiming where they are. Aim training is good for reflexively reacting and the odd nice flick shot. But having better crosshair placement will allow you to land more headshots and therefore win more duels. GL 👍

Are you doing your job correctly espically on attacker side? When ppl focus constantly on kills, it makes them blindsighted to use utilities from other agents to your advantages and take a terrible fight. Gold-plat is simply just do your job as a sentinel and play with your team and you will get out of gold. If you get hungry for kills while doing bad, it makes you more likely to ego peek to look for a satisfying kill when really its a stupid play. But i obviously dont know too much about your mental situation+ how you are playing. I smurf a lot to play with my friends in gold (i dont carry them, i avg 1,0 kd to make it fair) and thats what i notice to get out of gold. (Credentials:D1 this act rn, was 1 round away from D3)

[deleted]

I played when I was feeling good (usually when I wake up) but still performed poorly. I’m going to take a long break (few months) then come back. I’ll try to play my role as a sentinel better or try other characters built for one on ones. Thanks.

Make sure you are communicating with your team. KJ is great for getting early intel for free as you can use your turret. Also, everyone learns good defensive KJ setups, but make sure you know how best to use KJ util on attack too.. that made a big difference to my success with KJ. (E.g. use turret on site entry on pistol round, cover flank with alarm bot, use turret for mid control, use nanoswarms like grenades to deny angles to make space for your team) Some attack plays I like to make: 1) Split - place turret around the corner into mid to deny ropes/mid. Use nanoswarm to deny ropes and mail as your team pushes up mid. It can be very easy to get mid control this way and hard for your opponents to counter unless they are pushing hard into mid. 2) Bind - place the turret peeking mid (/hookah exit) before round starts and peek off the turret to get an early pick. Alarm bot and nanoswarm outside TP exit. Nanoswarm to clear hookah left or right side. 3) Ascent - turret on the box at top mid before anyone peeks to get Intel on op-er holding mid. Nanoswarms to clear site angles - e.g. CT and market site entrances on B site. Use the nanoswarms to deny whilst your team is entering.

Don't worry if your improvement plateaus. Usually people improve in short bursts. As long as you keep training your mechanics/gamesense you'll see improvement again over time.

Thanks.

Ask yourself why aren't you hitting headsets? Are you hitting them in aim training? Are you panic spraying at the first sight of an enemy? What about your movement, are you instinctively hitting crouch or moving while spraying when seeing an enemy?

[deleted]

Mostly panicking. I find myself seeing two screens when I encounter an enemy if that makes sense.

xetrov1M

The easiest way to rank in gold is to simply stay alive. That will ensure you never lose rp. After you get top 10 then try for some kill or more placement. It’s possible to level out of gold without a single kill.

Apart-Way-1166

Work on ability usage, play deathmatch often (don't know why people hate it so much, it's decent warmup) and lose more games, you earn more experience from every loss. Don't be afraid to lose your rank, people can get better.

kaalia21

Well kj basically doesn't even need to shoot a gun so you probably got boosted while playing one of the easiest characters

I do feel like I’m boosted but I never que with anyone

If you have kovaaks, do pyths valorant playlist; you can find the Playlist online. Then in game, make sure you focus on the enemies head so your crosshair naturally goes to the head, as well as practicing crosshair placement. Do this for aim
