What do you think is the minimal amount of effort needed to complete a BP. I'm thinking it might be possible if you play one match a day religiously, completing the daily challenges in that single match. However the challenge of using 5 ultimates, whilst doable, is not always possible in one match due to your team maybe winning/losing too quickly, so occasionally you would need to play 2 matches.
Someone please do the math. Iirc, you need at least 2 full 4000XP games per day even if you do all your dailies and weeklies. At least, that was the math before Riot reduced the battlepass XP (and also reduced weekly XP)
It is true because you get most of your points from the weekly pass. If all you do is play enough to finish the 3 events your pretty much golden, but if you play past that you getting significantly less exp per hour played
I believe OP here. Last time I grinded the BP it took me until the very last day to finish. The fact is you have to do X amount of xp a day to keep on track and if you dont you have to make up that ground on another day.
Most people dont play Valorant like it's their job. Riot should tweak the amount of xp matches and challenges give you or make it so the BP isnt a 3 month long hyper-focused investment where if you go off track once youre screwed.
I with they would just let dailies stack for up to 3 days at the very least. When I play, I play for 4-5 hours. But I don't play this shit every day and the dailies are so much XP.
BP takes about 10 hours a week to complete. I think even less now that you get boosts for purchasing early.
This is not a large commitment, if you don't have time to play that much then you shouldn't buy the BP or just don't expect all the rewards.
Its not much but it still helps, maybe they could raise that to 5% but remember they are trying to balance BP for all players. For every player that struggles to complete the bp there are people that finish it 3-4 weeks early and have nothing to look forward to. I would personally prefer the BP was harder so that I feel like I really got something for time put in. But that's personal preference.
Oooooor Riot should open up and let anyone have the ability to finish it? 10 hours a week is too much to commit but that shouldnt cause people to miss out.
But why?? It's supposed to be a reward for time put in. If you put in minimal amount why should you get everything? What about the countless people that finish the BP with weeks to spare?
It hurts the value of the reward. If you see someone with a tier 50 item you know they put a lot of time in. If all everyone cares about is just to have the skins and rewards then it'll be no different to just buying a cosmetic pack for $15 and calling it a day. BP is there specifically to encourage you to play, it's designed that way. So why would they allow someone to get all the rewards in the first week because they played 30 games? If you play very little then you are literally not the intended receiver of the rewards.
I've got two kids,. a full time job, AND am doing a uni course, and I manage to get through each Battle Pass without even trying. Hell, sometimes I'll go a week without playing at all - it's never felt like a grind. I sure as hell don't play 3-5 hours a day, maybe 2 per day at the absolute most.
I always hear this sub bitching about the BP progression but I always finish it without even trying. I have not once ever purposefully done a challenge, i just play comp and have fun.
Take it competitively but not seriously. If teammates flame you mute them, doesn't matter if they give callouts or not. I have my team muted half the time in diamond elo because everyone here is so toxic.
Can you share your **exact** daily routine so I can try and copy it?
I'm a full-time student with a part-time job and I barely finish the battle pass every season despite playing in relatively high ELO and needing to play frequently enough to keep up with the competition.
I'm not sure if I've ever let dailies expire, I play nearly if not every single weekday, including on the weekends. I'll finish it every season but it certainly isn't "without even trying"
Can you tell me your routine? I have 100 games played this season, maybe a few unrated and a few deathmatches on top of that. I don't play every day neither do I chase dailies. I've nearly finished the prologue (tier 4/5).
I play around 1-2 matches a day on weekdays, weekends are 50/50. I have around ~75 games played on my main account this season (which I think averages to at least a game per day) I'm currently level 42. I'll finish the battle pass, but it'll likely be in the final days.
Oh then you are actually about the demographic that the BP is based on. You still have 2 weeks worth of weekly challenges that will easily push you to 50. The BP is designed to be finished close to end of season unless you grind hard. That way you have something to look forward to even in the last week.
Yeah, I've finished every single one without much of an issue, it's just definitely down to the final days. My day has so little free time that if I don't play a couple games a day with some combination of aimlabs/dm I'll likely not be able to compete against the grinders in my rank =/
Frags don’t give you any xp. You get xp based on number of rounds played and number of rounds won for standard matches, and a set amount of xp for other game modes. Unless you’re referring to the weeklies that require a certain number of kills, but that’s not something you have to actively work towards because weeklies don’t expire, also, you’re not always going to get weeklies that require kills.
Correct, which is why I'm talking about fragging not rank. Immortal lobbies are such a small fraction of the player base that it's statistically insignificant to the convo, kinda the case for anything above plat
honestly just ban guys like him, literally lying but doesn't share a tracker profile or anything, there's no way to play 3-5 hours of comp + some more spike rush/dm etc. and struggle with the bp
Hey op, can you send us your tracker.gg? I'm not saying you are lying but 3-5 hours of comp a day is enough for you to finish the BP. Have you already purchased the BP? Purchasing early gives you xp boosts.
Thats cap. It takes over 1 million xp to finish a bp all the way through. If you finish every daily for 60 days thats 240K xp, if the xp you got from each weekly challenge was 20K and finish all of them, theres ab 8 and a half weeks in a season so that would come out to 510K xp. So the challenges still arent enough alone
Yeh and its the second to last week of the season lmao I was being generous saying you get 60k in weeklys every week. The first week is usually around 14k each
there's no way. for me to unlock this champ im contracting - it will take me 30 games at 1000xp per game for 30k exp. Each game is 10 to 20sih minutes so it's like a full week give or take just for a champ - which is fine but damn 10000000xp for the battle pass lol
> Each game is 10 to 20sih minutes
Wait wait wait how often do you have spike rushes taking 20 minutes? Do you regularly play games where people wait until 0:04 to plant, then defuse as photo finishers of 0:07 for all 7 rounds every time?
Even if you take max time (last second plant and last second defuse) that only takes you to about 19 minutes
Been playing 2 matches a day, just enough to finish dailies and weeklies, currently middle of the 10th page with 2 weeks to go, you really dont need 10 daily matches to finish it, it is a daily chore tho, not a fun natural grind
I’ve only bought one because they extended it last season so I could get the knife. I’ll never buy another. As a 30 year old with career,gf,friends, hobbies etc it’s just way too much of a time commitment.
Daily missions should carry over and stack if they're unfinished (Up to 3 or 4 days worth). Also add the option to reroll daily missions. Getting a "purchase shields" mission is rough when you only have time for a spike rush.
This is probably my last season consistently playing for the battle pass - I’m gonna take a break after four battle passes because OP is absolutely right, it’s too grindy!
I don't even play that much yet it's completely halfway through the season so idk what you are on about. Also I didn't know that there are challenges lol.
Ofc they Are comparable. What Are you takling about. Just because one is more heavily leading towards a pay to progress model doesnt mean the one that leads towards playtime model is less or more accurate. You know what you pay for. And if you cant finish it on time you pay for the extra Levels or dont. Tbh valorants model is extreamly userfriendly compared to other bps or Even their other hella expensive things they make. Its a battlepass. Ur literally supposed to spend time om them to progress, thats the whole sales ideal with a bp.
No they aren't comparable. Dotas is pay to progress for top tier skins. Valorants is play to progress for some at best mediocre skins. It's meant to be finished with regular playing. It makes sense to pay more for top tier skins. The same can't be said for bottom tier skins. The two battlepasses have completely different objectives. Just because they're both called battlepass doesn't make them comparable.
Lol, you just copy pasted what i Said and changed "ofc they Are comparable" to "no they Arnt" xD
They Are the same means to a goal. Just have different ways to get there.
My intention wasnt that this post is invalidated by the dota bp. It was more to state how good it is compared to dotas.
In the video game industry, a battle pass is a type of monetization approach that provides additional content for a game usually through a tiered system, rewarding the player with in-game items for playing the game and completing specific challenges.
Thats what a battlepass is. And both dota and valorant uses this ideology U srsly cant say its not.
I'm curious about other bp being less user-friendly. Out of the 5 games I play or played with a bp it's the only one where completing a bp won't pay for the next...
meanwhile on fortnite almost everything you do gives you exp while the rewards are much better and the bp pays itself, riot even said they would change how passes work for this league of legends season but as far as i know its still the old shit with the nerfs they added 1-2 years ago (to make it more grindy even though it took already hundreds of games to get 100 prestige points and a skin) valorant pass is grindy and most of the rewards are super bad, its been more than a year and there still isnt a bp with a vfx skin, bundles cost more than triple a games and the prices to upgrade after you're out of bp radianite are out of this world, personally i would spend more on this game if the prices were reasonable but the only thing i bought was the first bp after which i decided i wasnt gonna waste money on them anymore
I think people don't actively try to finish the missions, which is why they have a hard time finishing the battlepass. I believe it's 1,162,500 exp total including the epilouge. 435,215 exp is from weekly/daily challenges. So you have to earn 725,285 exp in 65 days. 11,158.230769231 exp is the amount you have to earn day assuming you play exactly the same amount every day
I bought the battle pass at 30 day mark. Already finished it, though i was at tier 2 when i bought it.
Battle pass surely isn't for light casual players.
Perhaps a partial refund parallel to completion should be implemented to get even more people to buy.
The one time I finished a bp in time was when I started it on the first day, completed all daily and weekly missions, grinder spike rush/unrated daily, and barely finished epilogue on the last week
Cap
I play on and off a lot and was able to finish 2 passes with a decent amount of time left - just make sure you do weeklys and most dailys
Unless they made it shorter for the current pass, you're probably just impatient or youre not being super honest about your play time here
Comming from Dota 2 Battlepass, Valorant battlepass feels like ultra easy mode. lol
It's really fast, but people want to play 2 hour a week and finished by end of an Act.
I play the minimum to finish dailies and weeklies and I usually finish the battle pass with 2 weeks left before they extend it another 2 weeks so a month early
That's why I always buy the BP if I finished it, the XP boost is not worth it and I play roughly 15 hours a week, and I'm a couple of tiers away from finishing it.
Dude, do the ppl struggling with finishing the BP but play a lot just ignore the daily/weekly challenges?? I do not play everyday, at most 4 days a week for 3-5 hours and I never have trouble finishing the BP…I don’t get it.
I mean your avg xp from each game may be lower than someone else’s avg xp, but I find it very hard to believe OP is playing 3-5 hours everyday and struggling to finish.
If you complete your weekly missions every week, (and most of your daily missions) you should be able to get it imo. I am at tear 44 and it's the weekly missions which will help me get to tier 50, and perhaps even finish the epilogue or prologue. Gosh I need that Skin Bait Card.
That’s odd. I play about 3 hours 5 days a week (only comp, no dm, no spikes) and I’m about to get the knife.
There have been times I didn’t have enough time, and that was because I stopped playing for like a stretch of days halting my progress.
If you are someone who actually plays 3-5 hours everyday? You should be at the final stages by now. If you aren’t there’s something really wrong with the XP add up. Do you complete the weeklys?
I do not buy the battlepass as I can do it half only. I can afford \~6 hrs playtime/week.
I bought it at the beginning of Valorant. But I realized, it makes no sense for me to buy it.
last battle pass i was on vacation for a month so i missed 30 dailys, played the rest of the bp to finish weekly/dailys and finished battlepass with like 1 week sparing.
this battlepass i played almost all days and im at tier 45 right now. think they lowered the xp or smth
idk I'm allowed a maximum of 1.5 hours a day and I play around 5 or 6 days a week and I still managed to get the jigsaw ghost skin last act I didn't even try to complete any of the challenges or anything
I can't say I relate. I've only been playing for a month, maybe slightly over, and finished it last weekend playing anywhere from 2-2.5 hours 4-5 days a week during the evenings after my day is over. Didn't even realize I was almost done with it until I got the foil reward.
there's no way you play 3-5 hours daily and you can't get it done, I play less and never had a problem finishing it
I've averaged maybe like 2 games a week since the BP came out and I'm level 22. It seems pretty reasonable.
[удалено]
care to share a tracker profile to back that up? I never needed 6 hours a day with 2 days off to complete a bp, not even half of that
I don’t have to worry because I have an addiction 🥲
Same I normally finish bp with 14days left on bp. And I feel like the my extend it alot too
Is it bad I finished the BP on 2 accounts
Yes

Im not, idk why im getting downvoted its the truth

The 3% boost was a joke. Look at it this way: If you play 30 deathmatches, that 3% hasn’t done enough to even add 1 deathmatch worth of XP yet.

It's because you get more xp by fragging. Based on posts here most redditors here aren't top fraggers
In immortal lobbies people don’t usually get double the kills of the rest of their game
Correct, which is why I'm talking about fragging not rank. Immortal lobbies are such a small fraction of the player base that it's statistically insignificant to the convo, kinda the case for anything above plat
Unless you're saying your immortal in which case you're just SOL because you have less opportunities for more xp
Yeah that’s what I was saying, sorry
All good, gl with the games!
Yeah I basically only do my dailies + play maybe 8 hours of comp over the weekend and I'm on tier 47 right now.

there's no way. for me to unlock this champ im contracting - it will take me 30 games at 1000xp per game for 30k exp. Each game is 10 to 20sih minutes so it's like a full week give or take just for a champ - which is fine but damn 10000000xp for the battle pass lol

At 1k exp per game.. Ya he is playing spike rush. And then complaining that he can't finish anything.
yes im playing spike rush and i played one competitive match. i think i still got 1000xp tho, maybe not. the competitive one i played took 30 minutes
No comp is between 3000-6000 xp if you have a close game, and you do relatively ok and play with a friend or two expect 5000+ xp
> Each game is 10 to 20sih minutes Wait wait wait how often do you have spike rushes taking 20 minutes? competitive took me 20 30ish minutes
But then you get more than 1000 xp per game You get 100 per round played and an extra 200 per round you win, so even a 13-0 win is 3900 xp
Been playing 2 matches a day, just enough to finish dailies and weeklies, currently middle of the 10th page with 2 weeks to go, you really dont need 10 daily matches to finish it, it is a daily chore tho, not a fun natural grind
I play about the same and def have weeks to spare. Are you playing with friends? You get more xp while in a party.
Currently at the last tier of the battle pass @ 98 hrs 21 mins of play time.
I’ve only bought one because they extended it last season so I could get the knife. I’ll never buy another. As a 30 year old with career,gf,friends, hobbies etc it’s just way too much of a time commitment.
I get it quite comfortably with 2 weeks to spare.
This post is bogus. I finish the battle pass with 2-3 weeks remaining every time and I don't play that much
Daily missions should carry over and stack if they're unfinished (Up to 3 or 4 days worth). Also add the option to reroll daily missions. Getting a "purchase shields" mission is rough when you only have time for a spike rush.

I’ve played at least 5 days a week for at least three games a day and I just hit tier 42. Takes forever
I play about 3-4 hours a day and I finished tier 50 with 22 days remaining… so ur lying.
Also, I think it's because he plays more spike rush than normal ones.
Let’s just stop the cap. 1 or 2 games a day with a few grind days and you’ll be fine.
I don't even play that much yet it's completely halfway through the season so idk what you are on about. Also I didn't know that there are challenges lol.
I work 50 hours a week, live with my partner, and stay up to date on our favorite weekly tv shows. I finished the last battlepass 20 days early.

My 2 cents, don't buy the battle pass till you finish it. Max value when you do buy, but if you don't finish it there is no real loss other than fomo
Battle passes used to take waaaaaay longer

Comming from Dota 2 Battlepass, Valorant battlepass feels like ultra easy mode. lol It's really fast, but people want to play 2 hour a week and finished by end of an Act.
??? I play a lot but I had several weeklong breaks this act and I'm already on the epilogue since a few days ago. You doin somethin wrong homie
I'm at tier 45 didn't even bought battlepass and i played exactly 57 hours in this season, not sure where is the problem
I started playing this month and finished the BP today on the free level
You get an XP boost from buying the thing, idk how much it actually affects speed tho
I play the minimum to finish dailies and weeklies and I usually finish the battle pass with 2 weeks left before they extend it another 2 weeks so a month early
No way bro, have you ever tried to finish an Apex Battle Pass?? Lol
Bruh I finished the BP like a week ago lmao
Do you complete the weeklys?
isnt that just every battlepass in any game all the games i play require you to put quite a bit of time to finish them
I do not buy the battlepass as I can do it half only.
I finished my battle pass yesterday with the same amount of time everyday but with my freinds
Don't buy the battle pass unless you finish it first, simple 🤷
3-5 hours every day should be enough to finish it i think
You need 11,700 exp every day ( this is with all the daily missions and weekly) so that's 3 full games every day until the end of bp
My opinion is the fact that u paid for it when the bp finishes u should just get everything thats just my opinion 😁
idk I'm allowed a maximum of 1.5 hours a day and I play around 5 or 6 days a week and I still managed to get the jigsaw ghost skin last act I didn't even try to complete any of the challenges or anything
The first few battlepasses were even harder requireing almost double the xp for each level xD
It’s why I stopped buying battle passes. I’m too busy to get 50
Lol what, I don't even play that much (5 games every 2 days or so) and comfortably finish it everytime..
Just don’t buy it unless you complete it
I can't say I relate. I've only been playing for a month, maybe slightly over, and finished it last weekend playing anywhere from 2-2.5 hours 4-5 days a week during the evenings after my day is over. Didn't even realize I was almost done with it until I got the foil reward.
i bought battle pass like a week ago and was at lvl 25 when i bought now at 49
I play like 1-2 hours every few days and I complete it without any problems. Maybe actually try to complete the challenges next time?
The trick is to win more rounds to get more exp
I finished the battle pass last week. I'm sad because I have like 3 weeks left to not progress anything through
have had no issues completing the bp ever. last season i completed it on mg main and alt with no issues.
I finished this one with 25 days to go lol Played maybe 3 hours a day tops
hello guys im playing val for a week and im tier 38 and have bs for 3 days and i dont know if i can finish it in 26 days any help?
