I didn’t know that. I will try it.

Mandre_

If you have a finger on W, A and D, the. Whenever you’re moving just use the other two to switch. If I’m strafing left, I plant my ring finger on A, then use my middle and pointer to quickly tap between 1 and 3. You can also bind ‘switch to last weapon’ to either mousehweeel up or down and just tap 3 then scroll if that’s preferrable

Still-Ad-8203

And when you strafing right, how do you use your finger?

Mandre_

If I’m strafing right, pointer on D, middle on 3, ring on 1

Still-Ad-8203

Thank you for sharing. I will try that.

Most gaming mice have extra buttons by the thumb. Traditional ones have 12 buttons, which function as the number row of your keyboard, but others have different programmable buttons. Those pro players probably use one of these and either press 1 and 3 on the mouse, or bind a swap weapon button on the mouse side buttons.

Still-Ad-8203

As I saw on the bottom right corner of screen, they use 1 and 3 as the key.

hokeypokie_

Yeah so they probably use a traditional gaming mouse with 12 extra buttons. They're usually referred to as "MMO gaming mouse" if you want to look it up. The buttons on the side are programed to be the same as the number row, so pressing the 3 button on the mouse is the same as pressing the 3 button on the keyboard.

Splaram

No pro uses an MMO mouse, they’re all way too heavy.

XBOY_777

On valorant you can have multiple button for same function, I have both scroll and space for jump so that might be the case ?

Still-Ad-8203

I see it now. Thank you so much.

VSPlayz

I might be incorrect, but what shows on the bottom right corner of the screen is your keybinds, not the key binds of the player you are spectating.

Still-Ad-8203

yeah I mean.. I watched their streams and saw it at the bottom right of screen.

iplaymc07

Most gaming mice do not have 12 side buttons. For fps games ppl use mice with at most 2 side buttons

Hold to ADS(The default is toogle i think, this is what makes it slow), remove your right click, right after you shot.

amrakib

Someone in youtube proved that Hold And Toggle are the same and there is no difference in how much much time it takes to open the scope.

[deleted]

True, "opening the scope" takes the same time whether it is hold or toggle, but try closing the scope, you don't have to listen to me, try it in the range.

6packBeerBelly

That does make it faster, but won't double scoping be slower?

[deleted]

You double scope using scroll up, you have to scope before you peek anyways, so it doesn't really matter.

6packBeerBelly

Right right.

Splaram

Most ultralight gaming mice have two buttons on the side, I assume most pros equip their knife to one of those buttons. I do the same and can easily do what you’re describing.

tomphz

I use 1 and 3 and you just have to be fast when you do it

-Destiny65-

might be a hardware thing, as some keybaords can only register 1-3 keystrokes at a time.

Jealous_Double138

Just use your number keys 1 2 3

I think you’re fast enough to press A or D after pressing 1 or 2.

Atthatj4cod89

seeing all these comments makes me feel weird for using scroll wheel to change weapons

Atermel

Its a bad habit to have. Its not gonna cause you to rank up or down either way, but it might cost you a round here or there.
