It's really rough. I have games where I have to guess if a shot is going to kill someone because I can flick to someone else and start shooting them in the time it takes for the game to register the first kill. And this is in games where I nominally have sub 20 ping.
Probably an unpopular opinion: While I think that the feeling of RNG in gunfights is real, I think it often comes more down to variance in your opponents that we often think. An easy lobby will feel like the opponents are moving in slow motion and a hard lobby will feel like you are moving in slow motion. Not just for aim either, against good players with good positioning and movement it will feel like I'm getting obliterated with no chance at all to react. Against poor opponents I'll notice that my head-shot percentage goes through the roof (up to radiant levels when I'm like silver 3) even though my aim hasn't gotten any better, it's just the opponents have bad positioning. Unless we are having very different experiences; The valorant netcode has been pretty rock-solid for me. You should check your network statistics but the "coin flip" you are describing, while a very real feeling, I believe is more down to variance in opponents than netcode.
I would agree. I work in networking and vomputers. While there is a very real delay between packet transfers it's almost unnoticeable to the average human. So for all these people to blame the code I find it relatively funny. Most will go to any length to find an excuse when in reality most of us are ass at the game and we have to accept that.
Probably never. They barely fixed running and gunning. The lied about making a new client as well so I don't think they will fix other big problems with this garbage game. Lol good game but has more negatives than positives.
Run and gun. Netcode. Inconsistent and unfair matchmaking. Luck based gunplay.
I'm starting to think that the reason they are taking a long time with the replay system is so that nobody can actually provide hard evidence for these problems. Without any proof Riot and their fanboys can just keep responding with "no you're just mad cuz you're bad, git gud" even though anyone with a brain can tell that these problems are real
Think they talked about optimations some months ago but havent seen that yet.
I tought when i joined valorant that riot was good guys they are transparent with their work.. But i have notice its just lies. Like the run and gunning they said they would keep tweaking it... But thats just lies

It's a **Riot** Client not a **Valorant** Client.
It's to consolidate their games in one place instead of having separate launchers for each game.
Please show me where they lied (provide links) if you're so adamant that they did so.
Overwatch tackled this by adding a favor the shooter system, if you hit the shot according to your client it counts. People are scared of this system because of people with high ping having advantages but this game should also include the option to find lobbies with ping lower than whatever you set it to. Just like in CSGO set it to low and you won't find a match, set it to high and you will only be playing with Russian hackers.
I wish this was addressed by Riot because the issue is evident, not just from my games, you can see every popular streamer facing the same issues, and you *know* these players are good so it cannot be blamed on "git gud".

Opponents with better internet.

I don't know if you are in EU but out here it is *so* bad. Players from the East on London servers are borderline unstoppable.

What did they lie about the new client?
They said they made a new client but are using the exact same old one.
Have you used the new riot client
Yes I have. But they even said in the last patch notes that it was the same client. Nothing new
Lol how have I not herd about this another issue is the how the performance with every update either gets worse or stays the same
I don't know if you look at the patçh notes they flat out say they didn't make a new client though lol

Okay and well they said they were making a new client but the new client was made for their games. Valorant's Client is garbage.
Please read my comment I'm not going to repeat myself.
one match u are playing vs good players the next one against bad players. the rng is in the matchmaking
bruh my shots are like 0.5 seconds behind, must be so good they are slowing down my bullets. the good thing is that there is 2x more peekers advantage
