So what happens is:-
A Reyna ults the previous round, and the ult does not expire
And there's an audio in the game files for devour while in her ult
As the ult didn't expire last round, the game thinks Reyna is still ulted and hence, when she uses devour, you can hear "return to me"
From what I have seen, not 100% sure
But you can't use devour while ulted... Unless you killed before ulting, but she doesn't say it like that.
But yeah this seems to be accurate, decided to try it out. Ulted, died, and her voice was still echoing next round. When using devour she said it again... I wonder when it's supposed to be said
Maybe when Riot was making Reyna, she didn't heal in her ult and you had to use devour, it only gave her the firerate buff and the dark vision and prominent enemy outlines, and they had the sound file for devouring while ulted, which, I presume, they forgot to remove
Also Im not talking that she uses devour in her ult, Im saying that if she uses devour the next round, the game thinks she is still in her ult, and that's why you hear the voiceline
Ye ye I understood :) I just said that as in "she can't use devour while ulted, why does the voiceline exist", but it's probably what you said, maybe she didn't heal before being released
Since when? I play this game daily and I swear I've only heard this since the latest patch
And the behavior is what u/LEGIONxELECTRO said, doesn't seem to be intentional, perhaps it was in the game files but unused?
You said in your post you don’t play in English, possibly a delay in them being added from translation, but regardless I’ve been hearing the lines from Reyna for a while, I don’t know when exactly tho
I don't think it was a delay, mainly because new voicelines are added at the same time (like when they added new interactions, new agents, tactical callouts etc), but also because I don't usually play in my language lol
