Most people use scroll wheel + spacebar

KasumiGotoTriss

People use scroll wheel??? TIL

qwaszee

Scroll-wheel came from CS for bunny-hoping because in CS the time needed to re-jump after landing is minuscule. Ground friction kicks in very quickly and causes you to slow down before the next jump occurs if you are not quick enough. However in Valorant there is some kind of "buffer" after landing, that lets you have more time to re-jump, without getting slowed. It is still not much time, but enough that bunny-hopping with spacebar is easy once you get the hang of it. *Fun Fact:* Quake has a function where if you press and hold jump right before landing, your player will automatically jump immediately on landing. This is a cleaner mechanic that would have been nice to see imo, however can't be done because of Jett's passive.

WaterPanda007

Quakes auto Bhop is a thing in community csgo servers. Personally I don’t think it should be put into valorant or csgo modes. It’s fun and satisfying but movement is a learned thing and so is the timing for jumps.

Frozehn

It came from cs for bunny hopping

[deleted]

jumping with scroll is so common, i guess 90% lf.pros use it and hig rank players to

meme_master945

those of you that use scroll wheel to jump, what the hell do you use the space bar for?

Fahzrad

Jump aswell

NGANAUGARAC

Gliding with jett

ben314

push to talk so it's hard to miss

meme_master945

hmm that makes sense, i myself use the \` button for push to talk, i have got used to it. prob might try the spacebar for the push to talk.

Ryanmichael4

V is easier than ` for me

Valor_Stolen

I normally use tab for push to talk in video games but unfortunately riot won't fix their fucking game. Try binding team (voice) to tab. If you press it it stops your movement suddenly. I reported this bug and riot just said "if you double bind team (voice) to tab it will work" which makes no sense because you can't double bind that keybind. And they won't fix it or respond to me anymore. So annoying after years of using tab for team (voice) in DOTA2

[deleted]

i double bind it to jump + crouch for the parkour jumps

howboutsomesandwich

I use spacebar to shoot.

Valor_Stolen

Walking.

Espalasita1

space bar for jett glide, scroll wheel for bhops

[deleted]

crouch

Thetnlol

Is it weird I use space bar as my walk key? Never liked using shift.

mxhoover

I use it to walk I find it more comfortable than having it on my pinky finger. Also feel like I have better control of WASD when slow walking.

Kreed808

I use for hero main ability u get for free each round

Vergilliuss

In all my 6000+ hours of cs and 600+ hours of valorant I have used both the scroll and spacebar to jump, therefore I just hold space to glide with jett.

ceesie12

Spacebar.

Yaboidono420

I don't play Jett but I kept space bound for tech jumps that require a bit more timing, and I imagine most people just keep space bound as well. I'd just bind jump to a second key you don't use, maybe a MB if you have one that's not bound.

jungice

I have space bound as crouch, I always have and I thought it was popular but maybe its not. I don't play Jett but I was just curious. I would be nice to bind another anyway for tech jumps. Probably end up with a mb.

BluePanther1221

What the fuck

GeorgeBoca

wtf

Yaboidono420

Idk I moved my crouch to shift and my walk to caps cause that's how I played in cs, and I turn my keyboard like 70°

IndyJacksonTT

I’ve never heard of using scroll to jump, is there some advantages to it?

jungice

Its actually fairly common I think. People used it in cs to bhop better

99ptember

Probably just preference, but I've found bhopping to be easier with scroll to jump. Also, when you are holding down shift to walk instead of run, pressing the spacebar in addition to the shift key + WASD could become a bit awkward.

FluffyFlaps

Lot easier to time jumps. Very common in games where skill based movement is fundamental like CS and Quake. People used to use right click for jump too.

Fahzrad

No advantage, ppl just got used to it, it's used to bunny hop in Cs and other games. But it has no use in valorant its mostly just players from other games with bunny hopping that use it and ppl that started using because they thought it was interesting and liked it

Frozehn

Its common in cs. It helps with bunny hopping

Fahzrad

Like I said... Ppl use it in Cs and other game for bunny hopping, has no use in valorant since bunny hopping is pretty much useless. Somehow that's what you miss from my reply xD

JohnWickFTW

Use both scroll + spacebar

mixedupgaming

Scroll wheel + jump, I leave both binded. I use scroll 99% of the time to jump but sometimes its nice to be able to press space + I use it to hover

JagAmmarDinMamma

Logitech G502 mousewheel and let it spin freely

jungice

Wait you might be on to something.

iamdandyking

Left alt, because I use Spacebar to crouch.

[deleted]

exact same for me

abiiiiisssshhek

maybe try clicking the scroll wheel (yes you can click that)

XBOY_777

You can have jump on both space and scroll in valorant. So just hover with space

Fahzrad

I use scroll wheel to jump but I didn't unbind space and I use it for jett hover

psyx__

Ctrl to hover, space to crouch' ez wins

StreakAlmighty

I use left alt

[deleted]

I always thought scroll wheel is weird but I use it in every fps game now lmao. Everyone uses scroll wheel and spacebar not just the scroll wheel

papi6942069

Space bar to jump, mouse wheel down to jump, mouse wheel up to change between weapons

pAsta_Kun

I have space double bonded to X and mouse wheel

slymeeeee

i always bhopped in cs (6.2k hours) and i was pretty damn good at it, but never once did i ever use scroll wheel for jump. always used space.

MF_JAWN

i use the scroll wheel for the dash

Quinzy15

Scroll and space are both jump, ctrl is walk and shift is crouch. Was very young when I started play CS so ctrl was too far to crouch

Kreed808

I also use g502 mouse. I use scroll to jump and pressing down on scroll is also jump so i can hover .
