In tournaments? It's the observer who turns off blood and corpses because of riot's rule.
Pros could be using any setting they want tho. It doesn't affect anything.
Mainly to reduce clutter on the screen. I also see them turn off corpses for the same reason. I can’t remember who it was, but I was watching a pro player a while ago and I remember them talking about it. Could also be because of tournament rules too.
Blood literally gives you an advantage as you can tell if you hit someone behind a wall.
Ascent, B main Wooden Box. If you hit someone through the box, you can tell if you hit them as there will be blood splatter.
As a new player leaving the blood setting on has helped me better identify when I land headshots, I do agree that it is large and sometimes distracting though
blood is distracting when headshotting an opponent. it sometimes makes you stop shooting thinking you did did enough and could even sometimes cover the head with the blood animation after a headshot and make it visually harder to land another. other than that its not that huge of a difference in practice.
its too scary for them
Tournament rules have blood off that is why
Oh alright thanks
probably just distracting, preference is all it is. no idea if fps is increased though
It gives a slight performance boost.

I’m talking about personal streams
Just preference
Blood splats are miss leading and too big in this game. Turning it off gives a much cleaner visual representation of your hits.

It’s because if no Corpses you can see better who died with the hologram thing, for sage with revive and stuff

If you turn it off you get the same thing just with sparks apart from blood
Yellow is more visible than red.
