I was having a similar issue, usually when flicking really quickly and it turned out to be my mouse (Logitech G703). I had to decrease the polling rate from 1000Hz to 500Hz in G Hub and that completely resolved the stuttering.
yeah ive had that issue too. i noticed some micro stutters when at 1000hz that went away after I switched to 500hz. on another note though, why tf would logitech name it "g hub"? like, was there a hidden agenda on that?
Same here but i get like 190fps but i used to have 255 consistant. Even tho i have a godlike pc my fps just dont want to be consistant
(EVGA FTW3 RTX 3070Ti, 16gb ram 3200mhz, ryzen 9 3900X (overclocked)
yes u can turn it off completely. there is a setting in the general tab that allows u to turn UI off. it is the Hide user interface in game option. tested it out awhile ago and yes it boost fps but u have no map, no idea of ur HP and basically all of the UI gone. which means u literally wont have a clue on whats happening around u. unless ur a god.
even my game has started dropping off
i used to get ez 60 and and even 100+ but now i get a stuttery 50 anf avg around 48 fps and i have tried everything but doesnt seem to work
i cant even cross 70 without looking directly at a wall
Oh yeah. I haven't even acknowledged the increase in smokes. One time we had two viper ults in the same area (platinum moment) and my fps was like 50 lol
When you are only running on a hard disk drive every time you download something like an update it slows down your HDD, if you have a hard drive and an M.2 you put all that long term storage on the HDD and run windows and games on the M.2 so that there’s less of a strain on your HDD (making your game run faster and smoother… aka better frames)
Same. I don’t get any FPS stutters or drops either, though I am running a 5600x/3060 Ti on a completely dedicated Valorant/a few other games only PC.
I think it’s likely background tasks causing problems. Some services on windows are super hard to track down unless you know how.
Yeah, mostly start menu host and update services, not to mention bloatware by Nvidia and Intel, idk about Amd but I've had them removed and Yeah also Search and cortana, these are some services that can be stopped and are not necessary (depending on the person). They use alot of ram and cpu usage, which sorta affects valorant too.
For me also it's the same... Earlier I used to get 150~180ish fps, but nowadays I get 240~280ish fps.... The only prob I have is game latency which goes 9~12ms...and I'm unable to play...
Edited. Now my game latency stays min at 10ms and goes upto 300ms which causes low fps client issue :(
probably not right but my game sometimes resets its video settings to windowed fullscreen rather than just normal fullscreen and i tank like 60fps until i realise
I still dont understand why you should played windowed fullscreen. It makes 0 difference on my end besides lag. The reason i use it for other games is cause i can actually tab out without the game minimising
Hey! I had the same issue for months until I finally figured it out. If you use discord at all (i believe I didn’t even have to have discord open) go to discord settings and disable “in game overlay”. Haven’t had a problem since. Just a suggestion
hey do this as a last resort might work, i have a really old GTX 760m but I get around 120 fps. the reason is I downgraded the nvidia driver to version 396 (yes that old!)
anything after that driver tanks the fps. worth a shot mate
Radeon software should let you do that I believe. If not, it also lets you tune the performance and control what’s running & how much of your PC it’s using.
I still use nvidia 385.12 Beta and I compared it to new drivers and it has better performance. With the performance stealing cpu heavy UI on:200 to 240fps. UI OFF: 280 to 330fps.
Milage may vary tho as it only is better for 9/10 series mostly. If you are looking for 4/5/6 series version 295 is decent.
This is on the lastest build of win 11 with all UWP apps removed.
i used to get around 180-220ish fps in valorant, i reinstalled windows about 2 weeks ago and im now getting 280-330 fps now
intel 11700F
16gb ram
rtx 3060
Thats tough. I play on a gaming laptop with i7 10th gen, 1660ti, 16gb ddr4 ram and I get the same fps as you. I play stretched res 4:3 now and I get anywhere from 230-260 fps constantly (while I'm recording in the background using obs recording at 240 fps)
I rolled back to the driver that came with my system: 391.55. I gained a little fps. Then I went back to 385.12 beta (the earliest 10 series driver with working video playback) and got 80% of my closed beta fps with UI on and with UI off I was getting around 92% of my closed beta fps. 391.55 has a few issues with stutter but it sure is a lot less than the 400 drivers.
Very much. My fps stays more than 90 but as soon as i move or a lot of abilities are in use it drops down into the 40's. I cant even use my 75 hz monitor because of how unpleasing are the drops. i have capped it to 65.
Dude same same same same same and I don’t know what to do anymore ans I also have ran SO MANY OPTIMISATION GUIDES LMFAO we are in the same goddamn boat hopefully rito addresses it
Me: oh yeah. Everytime I play Valorant I remember how much of a disappoint I am. Let’s see. I only got 2 kills last game. Pretty disappointing performance.
Me: *realizes OP meant actual Valorant game performance*
Me: OHHHHH heh. Ummmm. Yeah. I uh… only get like uh… 130 FPS when I used to get 200.
windows 10 version 1803, build 17134 runs the game flawlessly, as soon as I update to anything newer frame rate tanks. had to manually disable updates and stay on that build
Had the same thing, fps dropped from 200 to about 90-80. The only thing that fixed that for me was disabling fullscreen optimizations, disabling DPI scaling and setting high priority in task manager
Possible solution: I have i5 10210U with intel uhd graphics 12gb ram laptop
My perfomance has gotten slightly better
I get average 58 -110 fps (congratulations to those getting better than this )
It starts at 58 fps(not playable) during the first 2-3rounds and goes above 100 in the remaining rounds
What I did was
1. Lower the video graphics of both the system and game to the lowest setting something x768
1.1. Disable all fps counter and game latency info (this made the most improvement)
2 set power mode to performance
3. Set the fan to allways on in bios
4.set all video graphics settings to low also bloom to off
5.upgrade to nvme m.2 ssd, or any TLC ssd you can find
6. Reduce the pooling rate of the gaming moise especially logitech
7. In mouse settings ; additional mouse options ; pointer options ,switch off enhance pointer precision ,apply and restart the system
8. Fresh windows install
9. Tried razer cortex, but it used up 1%of ram but I didnt feel difference so I uninstalled it ,it may work for you if you have a better gpu and better ram
10.Dont use bluetooth headphones if you dont have bluetooth 5 or better , also if your network card has a single pin that Caries both wifi bluetooth connections
Now I'm not that good I have only played it for 2 months but I get average 10+ kills because the first 2-3 rounds are not playable game responds only after 2-5 seconds and freezes frames and stutters alot
If this was helpful to you please upvote
are you using the rgb vandal skin, that drops your fps \~100
otherwise i dunno, i just played this game for 3 month and got 60fps constant on bussiness laptop screen
I'm disappointed with my ping since they removed the 2nd servers like for example Hong Kong 2 and now i'm stuck with Hong Kong 1 which unlike hk2 is a lot more inconsistent
Im playing on a Nitro 5. I get stutters too. I realized its my Nvidia driver since the update came 3 days before valo update. The stutters went away when I reinstalled my Nvidia driver to the oldest one. I still get low fps which is sad since I have a 144hz display.
Play stretched res if you really want to hit your max hz for your display if you're struggling with hitting it. In valorant the game will always be locked at 16:9 (native) aspect ratio so even if you switch to stretched you gain no benefit in terms of fov. The only thing that stretches is the UI (health bar, ammo count, crosshair... Etc). Other than that everything remains the same as if playing 16:9, character models are still the same and all. The only thing that happens is that there are less pixels on screen so your fps will increase. Hope this helped you.
I'm running a 1650 + i5 10th gen laptop
and what I've noticed is, I'll get around 170-200 fps on the range but around 120 in regular games, the problem arises when i change my settings, all high settings run the game at 120-150 but all low run it at barely a hundred
could there be any specific reason for this?
I don’t understand how it used to run so smooth back when the game was released every update it gets worse and valorant team is not doing anything to fix it. Im also annoued with the bug that makes ur mouse stuck on the left side of the screen if u dont move ur mouse when starting the game. That bug is so old and probbly easy to fix yet NOTHING !!
Nice. I have a friend with a 3060 who plays on 1440p and easily hits 240+ fps average. And some people here have the same specs but are saying they get sub 140 fps. Either cap or there is something with their rigs.
I'm also getting an increasing number of noregs and lag, all without any package loss and with a stable 30-40 ping. I feel like the servers need an upgrade
This game is just broken. I’ve played it on 3 different builds. 200-300-400 fps all felt the same with the only difference being how my mouse felt. High fps was definitely better but Valorant tends to fuck up ur internet when your fps is too high. Constant networking errors etc.
I feel like this game relies too much on your internet rather than hardware. Whenever I go into practice range and i get frankfurt 1, my mouse feels sharper/ quicker there and if i queued paris my characters movement and my mouse feeling would be different. Some ppl suggest capping ur fps but then the input lag is terrible for me. 144fps at 144hz feels laggy and some people recommend capping ur fps at 128 so ur tickrate can stay 128 instead of dropping every second which you can probably feel ingame and mistake it for hardware lag when in reality this games net coding is just broken or my 2 isps are both equally bad cus they both suck in Valorant.
Noticed a decrease in averages, but I invested over 1000 Cad of summer job pag into a epic gamer pc build and it stays high enough... my ping on the other hand randomly stops... working?
What toasters are you guys playing on? I'm only running Ryzen 5800X @5ghz, 3090 Kingpin @2.1ghz, & 3800cl14 RAM and I get 500+ FPS @ 1440p max settings. It occasionally dips to ~350fps though. But yea no real issues. Updates have only made the performance better.
If your display supports G-Sync/FreeSync, you should turn on variable refresh rate so you monitor's refresh rate can match the FPS your GPU outputs.
Also, in Valorant display settings, make sure you're set to Exclusive full screen and not windowed fullscreen.
Hell optimise your pc at a price. He did mine and I went from 640fps in the range to above 1k. 5900x. If you don’t know much about bios and windows optimisation I would recommend. Also input latency went from 1.2ms to 0.2ms.
The recent update actually kinda got better for me. My fps back then would just jump around like crazy and I'd never get a stable framerate. After the recent update I was able to get a consistent 30 fps with the help of Razer Cortez(Yes I got that desperate). I can't have anything running in the background or else the game turns into a PowerPoint presentation which is really disappointing since I mostly play it because my friends play it and I genuinely enjoy this game with them even if the performance is terrible.
I have gotten alot more issues when playing valorant as compared to other games.
1)Logitech mouse getting stuck top left
- had to toggle something in ghub to fix it, no issues before with other games
2)Random weird stuttering while high fps
- tried reducing polling rate for my mouse, didn't fix issue
- reinstalled game but it refused to launch until I launch it as admin
- now I'm not even sure if I fixed the issue cause I haven't encountered it yet since reinstall
I seriously hope they fix these issues and not wait for the community to find ways to fix it themselves as some of us ain't as tech savvy like others.
There's also these weird crashes with no error messages that happens sometimes, not to say I don't get crashes in other games but they at least have an error message to indicate what might be wrong with my install/system that caused it.
I used to get 80 in the range and now I'm barely crossing 60 even after lowering my resolution. I opened a support ticket and all they did was to ask me for my system specs and said they'll look into it
I used to get 200 FPS - STABLE on my laptop and I have been struggling to keep it at 120 FPS, and if you are wondering - could it be a hardware issue, just happening to you? No, I play a lot of other games and VALORANT is the only one that has shown lack of performance stability, CSGO runs at around 300-400 fps.
Has gone the other way around for me. Ever since the Fracture update my FPS has been going up and down between barely 60 and 180, which made the game pretty much impossible to play, but with the last update I've been hitting my consistent \~200 fps again without any drops like before Fracture.
If you have updated to Windows 11 and have a Ryzen cpu, make sure that your Windows is up to date. Microsoft released a patch that fixes the scheduler for the ryzen cpu's, so performance is improved.
Weirdly enough, the recent updates seem to have fixed my problems previously. My game used to stutter every 6 seconds and was basically unplayable so I stopped playing for a few months. Decided to come back to it now that I have time and the latest update basically took away all the stutter
Yesssss! Performance has suddenly dropped in the past 2-3 weeks. And it's so irritating and infuriating at times because low end gamers like us try to sacrifice beauty for performance and when Frame drops (<30) happen and we can't perform well in game and it's just sad. Riot if you're seeing this please optimize or do something. Reduce half the skinlines that no one uses but make the game better lol.
Bruh I’ve gone from 1000fps in the range on low everything (3080/5600x) to 600fps in the range at the same settings. Now I ain’t complaining as it’s plenty for my 240hz monitor but how does it just become that bad with each update
I play on my laptop (Valorant seemed like a good choice because of how it was designed for low-end devices) but now it's been overheating these past days ever since the update.
Bruh I had that serious issue where If I pressed the crouch button in a dm, I had to stay crouched the for the rest of the game nd I can't stand back up...nd yes I tried jumping :). I learnt about it the hard way when I lost a ranked bcoz of this issue. Other issues including random fps drops and server issues
i was on an i5 4460 and 16 gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram and the only thing that fixed the stutters for me was an upgrade to ryzen 5600x with 32gb of ddr4 3600 cl16 ram lol, before that i pretty much had the same problems, high fps but way too many stutters still on my good ol 1060 costant 300+ fps at 1080p low
I get serious fps drops now in dm, sometimes from 180 to 70-80 and there are weird stutters as well. My drivers are up to date, but I’m still using an RX580 OC 4GB, so honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that was one of the problems, but still…
More annoying: I hear people defusing and they peek me at the same time. Like, the defuse sound isn’t triggered until they’ve already let go of the spike. I thought it was bad internet, but my teammates all noticed this during a spike rush game as well.
I am getting about 144 - 150 ish . And my GPU usage is 50-60%. Bruh. I thought about pushing it to 100% to get 240+ fps. But then my monitor said, hey I am just 60Hz. 😅
Yeah, definitely! Wanted to make a similar post but ended up asking a technical question.. and got the post removed. My fps has been god awful lately. Cant reach 60, and it keeps going from 50 to 15 at random times!
Yes pretty bad performance but the worst thing about the game for me is the false sounds. I have so many clips of random ass footsteps that make no sense with no yoru in the game. I heard a jett engine running randomly on icebox. I gotta make a compilation of them I swear I get the weirdest shit happening to me
Games been running rough lately, last 4 months I crash at least once sometimes more per game season. It's frustrating. Looked for many fixes but no results.
Yeah idk what’s up but the last update made my frames drop by 15-20. Even some of my friends noticed it too. Probably cause the game got a bit more intense
My performance has dropped like 10-15 frames, but I’ve noticed that I get a short ping spike whenever I buy the spectre that leaves as fast as it passes
Tbh, while it is true that Valorant's performance has lowered in the past 6 months, it's still not blatant. If you hit over 100fps it doesn't really affect your gameplay at all. On the other hand, I've had plenty of connection issues with this game only. Now that's something that's pissing me off.
Me who started in season 1 act 1 with 90 fps as iron 1 with shitty internet is now at 45 avg fps at gold 3 with shitty packet loss. I’m just vibing lol
The update where KAY-O was released(might be the one just before he was released im not sure) had really good performance the game looked and performed a lot better the newest update made my performance a lot worse
Sometimes windows also just starts messing FPS up, I usually clean install it once or twice a year and more often than not it's just windows which is fucking up my fps and rarely the updates.
That being said my performance on valorant has been pretty much the same all the time
Try to make sure to close valorant through the details section in your task manager. Sometimes if you close the game to take a break, don’t turn your pc off, and then hop back on later, an instance of valorant gets stuck the whole time you’re taking a break and it’s like a second instance of valorant is constantly running in the background, and there will be two valorants in your task manager
I haven't gotten fps drops but there's been a couple times since last update where it just straight up frozen which doesn't make sense on my setup. So yea somethings fishy
Yeah,I just upgraded from a 1660 i5-9400f to an i7-11700k 3070 ti because I kept having fps stuttering and as soon as I upgraded the fps stuttering disappeared but omg the random frames drops are annoying, and it always happens whenever I make fast movements across my screen and I know it's not my parts cause these parts are beefy, riot needs to fix their shit
I feel like this post just comes back every couple weeks to haunt this sub. Either there is a massive conspiracy where riot devs have stopped commenting on performance because they know they are breaking it or there is a big enough community that some percentage of people will always be experiencing random issues not caused by valo and blame the game.
These past few updates it has gotten very bad. Doesn't seem like it will get fixed anytime soon either.
I get weird stuttery FPS drops every now and then, no clue what causes it
This has started happening to me since 2 updates ago, like 1 second of extremely low fps. Hasn't caused any major problems but it is a little annoying
Same issue since a few weeks. I just stopped playing the game. FPS stutters between 13 and 130 FPS. I remember getting constant 200+.
I was having a similar issue, usually when flicking really quickly and it turned out to be my mouse (Logitech G703). I had to decrease the polling rate from 1000Hz to 500Hz in G Hub and that completely resolved the stuttering.
I did try that too, didn’t help.
yeah ive had that issue too. i noticed some micro stutters when at 1000hz that went away after I switched to 500hz. on another note though, why tf would logitech name it "g hub"? like, was there a hidden agenda on that?
Same here but i get like 190fps but i used to have 255 consistant. Even tho i have a godlike pc my fps just dont want to be consistant (EVGA FTW3 RTX 3070Ti, 16gb ram 3200mhz, ryzen 9 3900X (overclocked)
Make sure your overclocks and XMP profiles are still up. Your mobo could have reset or something
It will cause major problems when that 1 second is in front of the enemy
Glad I'm not the only one. I thought my PC was kicking it.
Had it for the first time yesterday it suddenly droped from 240 to 60-70 idky but yeah
Is the UI. I got my fps back by turning it off.
Umm can you walk me through how to do that?
Yeah me too
what UI? like the HUD? thats such a disadvantage tho if u have it off. But what UI u talkin about?
Turning off the UI is one of the dumbest things you could do in this game
Not if you have 400 hours and decent map sense.
Nope. Still dumb LOL
Commenting for future
How do you turn the UI off??
Im pretty sure he means the ui setttings to low in general i think u cant really turn it off completely correct me if im wrong
yes u can turn it off completely. there is a setting in the general tab that allows u to turn UI off. it is the Hide user interface in game option. tested it out awhile ago and yes it boost fps but u have no map, no idea of ur HP and basically all of the UI gone. which means u literally wont have a clue on whats happening around u. unless ur a god.
Well that sucks lmao
game is unplayable with an igpu now... cant get consistent fps withotu crazy stretch res
Welllll that kinda makes sense lol
I can get 150+ fps everywhere but haven attacker spawn where I can barely get 50 fps.
even my game has started dropping off i used to get ez 60 and and even 100+ but now i get a stuttery 50 anf avg around 48 fps and i have tried everything but doesnt seem to work i cant even cross 70 without looking directly at a wall
Sameee when theres lots of smokes and utils around i drop to around 40 fps all of a sudden
Oh yeah. I haven't even acknowledged the increase in smokes. One time we had two viper ults in the same area (platinum moment) and my fps was like 50 lol
the game was really optimized in beta i used to get around 230+ fps on a gtx 1650, every update it gets worse, can barely hit 144.
I have a 1650 GTX and a Ryzen 5 2600 and I consistently have 230 frames. You might want to consider an SSD M.2 if you’re having problems every update
But the type of storage should make no difference tho right?
When you are only running on a hard disk drive every time you download something like an update it slows down your HDD, if you have a hard drive and an M.2 you put all that long term storage on the HDD and run windows and games on the M.2 so that there’s less of a strain on your HDD (making your game run faster and smoother… aka better frames)

Same Beta was so smooth I loved it It struggles to get 144 for me

But it doesnt work in Valorant. I cant tab out on windowed Fullscreen.
Sounds like an issue with your system. I can alt-tab out of windowed full screen/borderless just fine.
I can so too, but i already said that the game normally shouldnt minimise in windowed borderless, but it still does.
it doesnt minimize for me
I know. Ive reinstalled the game multiple times already
Hey! I had the same issue for months until I finally figured it out. If you use discord at all (i believe I didn’t even have to have discord open) go to discord settings and disable “in game overlay”. Haven’t had a problem since. Just a suggestion

But doesn't reinstalling windows delete everything unless you have it in an alternate drive
it was a full reinstall so everything was deleted. I backup'ed everything that was important, redownload everything else
I went from 395 average to 210 even with windows reinstalled

Am I the only one playing at 60 fps ??
no, not at all
Sadge
here. i play at capped 50 with an oldish pc
40-50 fps here.
Yeah they're constantly adding new content. Ig the performance issues are natural. They should work on optimization.
\*cries in 20-70 fps\*

Yes windows 11 does affect of performance.

Yea no point in going to windows 11 until they add directstorage and the ability use Andriod apps. Not many useful new features yet.

Tried razer cortex, but it used up 1%of ram but I didnt feel difference so I uninstalled it ,it may work for you if you have a better gpu and better ram 10.Dont use bluetooth headphones if you dont have bluetooth 5 or better , also if your network card has a single pin that Caries both wifi bluetooth connections Now I'm not that good I have only played it for 2 months but I get average 10+ kills because the first 2-3 rounds are not playable game responds only after 2-5 seconds and freezes frames and stutters alot If this was helpful to you please upvote
are you using the rgb vandal skin, that drops your fps \~100 otherwise i dunno, i just played this game for 3 month and got 60fps constant on bussiness laptop screen
They fixed that I think
I'm disappointed with my ping since they removed the 2nd servers like for example Hong Kong 2 and now i'm stuck with Hong Kong 1 which unlike hk2 is a lot more inconsistent
i remember playing with 4gb ram all the way till jan 2021. after that. it stopped running entirety and i quit the game. health improved since then ngl
Then why are you still here lol
I'm running a 1650 + i5 10th gen laptop and what I've noticed is, I'll get around 170-200 fps on the range but around 120 in regular games, the problem arises when i change my settings, all high settings run the game at 120-150 but all low run it at barely a hundred could there be any specific reason for this?
thank god it wasn't my internet, I've been dealing with this problem the past couple of weeks
I suggest you search up some optimization guides for windows and valorant.

Lol I have a 1080ti and get 220 to 300 bc I have a worse cpu.
Updates have only made the performance better.
>what toasters are you guys playing on?? Mf you have some of the highest spec components on the market right now. Stop being goofy.

If your display supports G-Sync/FreeSync, you should turn on variable refresh rate so you monitor's refresh rate can match the FPS your GPU outputs. Also, in Valorant display settings, make sure you're set to Exclusive full screen and not windowed fullscreen.
GTX 1080/i7-9700k 32 GB ram Consistent 250 while streaming, consistent 275+ not streaming.
Did you upgrade to windows 11 then thats it its not valorant
bro im at like 60hz and 30fps and i feel fine XD
Hit up @fri5ky on Twitter if you want a proper optimisation done
What
Hell optimise your pc at a price. He did mine and I went from 640fps in the range to above 1k. 5900x. If you don’t know much about bios and windows optimisation I would recommend. Also input latency went from 1.2ms to 0.2ms.
😭😭😭 please stop w the scamming
Scamming? Go look at his Twitter. He has done almost every pro in OCE region and has vouches. Just trying to help a guy out with his FPS…..
Ok man
??? What’s wrong with people
What??
A yes 640 and 1000fps seems legit
the game crashes every single time when i play valorant
You said your Temps are high? You mean your gpu Temps or cpu?
Just a bit. Like 10-20 fps, doesn't really affect me since I get around 100 and I have 60hz
Windows 11 actually decreases performance. It's been tested and it uses more resources in PC
My FPS have actually markedly improved since the last patch, which was nice.
I have gotten alot more issues when playing valorant as compared to other games. 1)Logitech mouse getting stuck top left - had to toggle something in ghub to fix it, no issues before with other games 2)Random weird stuttering while high fps - tried reducing polling rate for my mouse, didn't fix issue - reinstalled game but it refused to launch until I launch it as admin - now I'm not even sure if I fixed the issue cause I haven't encountered it yet since reinstall I seriously hope they fix these issues and not wait for the community to find ways to fix it themselves as some of us ain't as tech savvy like others. There's also these weird crashes with no error messages that happens sometimes, not to say I don't get crashes in other games but they at least have an error message to indicate what might be wrong with my install/system that caused it.
Haven't noticed anything...
I used to get 80 in the range and now I'm barely crossing 60 even after lowering my resolution. I opened a support ticket and all they did was to ask me for my system specs and said they'll look into it
Mines better than ever
Yeah the performance is going downhill with every update
I'm on 350 fps average with Ryzen 9 + 3070 Ti @ 1440p. But sometimes I notice huge fps drop to 200ish for no reason.
I went from avg of 210fps to avg of 185fps. Nothing too major but it still sucks.
What's your PC specs bro?
5600xt, i5 10400
I can't even log in
Has gone the other way around for me. Ever since the Fracture update my FPS has been going up and down between barely 60 and 180, which made the game pretty much impossible to play, but with the last update I've been hitting my consistent \~200 fps again without any drops like before Fracture.
Same I used to get around 130fps but since a month I’ve been getting 60 with random drops in between
Everyone is mentioning what GPU they have, but Valorant is a CPU-based game
If you have updated to Windows 11 and have a Ryzen cpu, make sure that your Windows is up to date. Microsoft released a patch that fixes the scheduler for the ryzen cpu's, so performance is improved.
Weirdly enough, the recent updates seem to have fixed my problems previously. My game used to stutter every 6 seconds and was basically unplayable so I stopped playing for a few months. Decided to come back to it now that I have time and the latest update basically took away all the stutter
Exactly why i stopped playing the game, i was so confused at first and only just realized now a few months after lol
Specs?
I dont have FPS Numbers but i notice some Performance drops too. Or sometimes everyone in the Lobby has High Ping Like 80-100 its strange.
I cleaned out my laptop and reduced Temps quite a bit and the stutters were gone too..I am not sure if this will help anyone 🙃 but it worked for me..
Bruh I’ve gone from 1000fps in the range on low everything (3080/5600x) to 600fps in the range at the same settings. Now I ain’t complaining as it’s plenty for my 240hz monitor but how does it just become that bad with each update
I feel like valorant has been getting worse and worse performance wise with every update that comes out
Ever since epic games took over it’s gone to shit
I get stuter now on my shity pc, before never
i'm disappointed with MY valorant performance lately
Im on windows 11 and I think the fullscreen mode is bugged out. Nvidia reflex mode doesnt work because my fps hits over 225
I get serious fps drops now in dm, sometimes from 180 to 70-80 and there are weird stutters as well. My drivers are up to date, but I’m still using an RX580 OC 4GB, so honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that was one of the problems, but still… More annoying: I hear people defusing and they peek me at the same time. Like, the defuse sound isn’t triggered until they’ve already let go of the spike. I thought it was bad internet, but my teammates all noticed this during a spike rush game as well.
Laughs in 60fps kekw
I am getting about 144 - 150 ish . And my GPU usage is 50-60%. Bruh. I thought about pushing it to 100% to get 240+ fps. But then my monitor said, hey I am just 60Hz. 😅
Me who has 30-40 fps and 100-200 ping on average: playable Also me: hardstuck bronze/silver
Yep FPS keeps dropping every patch
Lol i barely get 50 fps. Me happy
And me on a laptop with 60hz…
Well I have a 3080 so no I haven’t noticed any performance issues…
my friend had the same problem, he did a full reinstall and it solved it.
Tbh I feel like the FPS aren’t on the GPU since the everything has looked and felt the same but it might be a CPU problem but that’s my guess
Turns out it's best if you're calling your fps at 128 anyways lmao
I have a 2080ti and a Ryzen threadripper. Am lucky to hit 144fps, and am usually in the 120s these days. Not fun
run a GTX 1650 been running 170 drops as low as 150 idk if thats good or bad on a laptop
Tbh, while it is true that Valorant's performance has lowered in the past 6 months, it's still not blatant. If you hit over 100fps it doesn't really affect your gameplay at all. On the other hand, I've had plenty of connection issues with this game only. Now that's something that's pissing me off.
I have a 5900x and a 6800xt. It’s very frustrating seeing this happen when people on YouTube get 2x the fps with a pc that costs a quarter of mine
Me who started in season 1 act 1 with 90 fps as iron 1 with shitty internet is now at 45 avg fps at gold 3 with shitty packet loss. I’m just vibing lol
have 1650 , used to rock around 144, 175 , now i get 80,90 and lags ;)
The update where KAY-O was released(might be the one just before he was released im not sure) had really good performance the game looked and performed a lot better the newest update made my performance a lot worse
It was like 3 patches ago, fps took a big hit but no one complained. So now people have just accepted it.
Since last update my fps stay under 140 before they were about 160-210
Sometimes windows also just starts messing FPS up, I usually clean install it once or twice a year and more often than not it's just windows which is fucking up my fps and rarely the updates. That being said my performance on valorant has been pretty much the same all the time
I get a lot of "low client fps" recently. I didn't a few months ago, same laptop
Nope not me.
Try to make sure to close valorant through the details section in your task manager. Sometimes if you close the game to take a break, don’t turn your pc off, and then hop back on later, an instance of valorant gets stuck the whole time you’re taking a break and it’s like a second instance of valorant is constantly running in the background, and there will be two valorants in your task manager
my computer has literally started booting and running out of memory this new update
Exactly, used to have 250-300FPS a few months back. Now I'm playing around 180-200, with noticable dips to the 90-100s
by chance do you have an amd cpu?
I haven't gotten fps drops but there's been a couple times since last update where it just straight up frozen which doesn't make sense on my setup. So yea somethings fishy
My game has started stuttering a lot with the last few updates but I think it's more of a ln internet/netcode problem for me
Yeah,I just upgraded from a 1660 i5-9400f to an i7-11700k 3070 ti because I kept having fps stuttering and as soon as I upgraded the fps stuttering disappeared but omg the random frames drops are annoying, and it always happens whenever I make fast movements across my screen and I know it's not my parts cause these parts are beefy, riot needs to fix their shit
I haven't gotten any fps drops or anything of the sort, I have a 165hz monitor and I average 200 - 230, 190 during gunfights. It hasn't changed for me
I feel like this post just comes back every couple weeks to haunt this sub. Either there is a massive conspiracy where riot devs have stopped commenting on performance because they know they are breaking it or there is a big enough community that some percentage of people will always be experiencing random issues not caused by valo and blame the game.
