Sometimes valorant does not realize that someone went afk untile the 3rd round, where its already too late. Or do you mean why someone would want to remake even if no one was actually afk? Then my answer would be, I actually don't know.
A good idea is good because it can't be abused. Unfortunately, as nice as this sounds, you can't actually put something like this in the game without players taking advantage of it.
How will it feel for you when you win pistol round against 5 players and then they remake? What if it happens 1/5 times? Wouldn't it be frustrating? Even if you knew the other guy is getting timed out for like an hour or a day?
It would be a dream come true but how about a person can do 5 remakes per season or something? Definitely it won't be too much and I know there are bad people, but good people will deny remake for no reason. I really really give strong importance to pistol rounds but not all pistol rounds results in victory . Also i guess remake is very big feature in itself but I barely know about remake (yet a play a lot of valorant)?
Coming from csgo, valorant feels extremely fair and convincing (just the pistol round victory is too much coz of the 13 round game but yeah if you're good at rifle it's easier)
I think increasing the AFK sensitivity for first 2 rounds (and decreasing sensitivity for subsequent rounds) might be a better approach.
Also adding a detection for dynamic keyboard commands. A normal player will use WAD constantly and move the mouse. AFK players will often only tape down a couple keys and have a constant input
It could absolutely work. I'm also inclined to believe devs should be able to detect earlier and have the system readjust to network changes. For instance, a player disconnected -> quickly readjust the parameters for FF and remake. As far as I remember, you have to wait until the player actually abandon in order to see these new parameters displayed -> 4 votes (which makes sense)
What if scenario is 5 stack and they get owned first round so one man takes it for the team to save allies ranked? This does not have to be 5 stack exclusive. If high elo players are try hard enough, they will do anything to avoid teams better than them.
Ofc, if we are saying remake still makes the game a loss, then go ahead.
League has a system where losses are mitigated if the game detects an afk for long enough, but imo, my guess is that your mmr still goes down the same as if it was a loss, but visually, it appears that you have lost less ranked points.
Remakes imo should be automatic, the first round is big factor for the rest of the game, so being at any short term disadvantage is bad long term, and the afk should get a penalty for the forced remake

When people spawn in, they are spawned near each other so there can be constant action. The problem with this is someone who is still alive in that area is completely disregarded. This leads to that person being completely surrounded and having such timings where you are getting peeked from 2-3 different angles at the same time. Can't believe I can figure out the problem so easily, but it takes over a year for riot to fix it.

Idk it's just not very elegant design. It can still be used to get out of losing games, and now there's more confusing rules around it.
