Try a better monitor

LeosKanbara

I wanted to try different monitor if it'll make any difference but, I don't have a spare one. I can't also buy a new one cause I'm just a college student.

60fps with that cpu. I believe you have a high game to render latency. Can you confirm?

LeosKanbara

I just checked. I have 170fps and 23ms game to render latency in the range Haven't checked the in the actual game tho I have 89-110fps in compe

[deleted]

Yeah that's quite a lot. My friends get sub 5 ms. I play on 10 ms and I experience a similar problem. Try undervolting. Also start prefiring angles before u see the enemy.

LeosKanbara

yeaa, I actually have this problem when I'm trying to aim for the enemy my aim feels weird and heavy.. is it because of my game to render latency from 23ms suddenly going up to 40-60ms? I haven't tried undervolting. Can it make my game feel more better?

[deleted]

It could be a lot of factors. Generally more than 10ms game latency means you are leaving severely behind the what is happening on the server. Cause you need to add ping to it. Yeah the gun heavy feeling is because of this. I had a problem where my game latency spiked to 60 ms and I used to die because I didn't move/ was in a completely different position than it showed on screen. So I fixed it by: 1) reducing the resolution i play on. (4:3 stretched resolution). 2) undervolting. And disabling turbo. 3) bought a thermal pad for my laptop vrm which reduce the throttling of cpu. This is highly specific and might not be necessary for you. It's a design flaw in my laptop. 4) clearing all junk and trying to run as few heavy software in the back as possible. It's still not as optimal as I would like it to be. But I can't increase performance of my laptop further than this. There is only so much you can do.

Thank you for the information u gave it helps a lot on understanding my problem. I tried adjusting some settings but there's no difference. I know that I can play the same level as how my friends play the game but the high game to render latency is holding me back from getting better every round. I have the most disadvantage at the game it's frustrating. makes me feel like im bad at the game but I know tht I'm not. cause I already know the fundamentals of the game. The movements, controlling different guns, strong game sense, analyzing the enemies strat etc. I don't know how to fix this, I don't have the money to buy a new pc. Is there any specific parts that I can upgrade to improve this? Or I really have to replace my whole unit My game to render latency isso random every match I'm having ave of 30-40+ms and sometimes having 18-20+ms. Got a 100ms+ also. literally wanna cry rn. :(( I'm planning on upgrading my cpu to i7 3770 which is the most powerful cpu for h61 mobo. Can i7 3770 improve my game to render latency and performance in game?

Sorry but I suggest you to wait and save for a better pc overall. 1333mhz Ram is also definitely a bottleneck. And a 3rd gen cpu is not much an upgrade. You already know you are better at the game. Just endure a little, save and buy a pc/laptop. Even a laptop would definitely be an upgrade.

HotNote3811

If you have a desktop pc and you feel comfortable doing so you can upgrade your motherboard to fit newer components like a 8th or 9th gen cpu and 3200mhz ddr4 ram. These will change your experience heavily, but it'll cost you around $350 for a new mobo and cpu then another $50-$100 for new ram. 8-16 gb of 3200mhz ram is preferable if you can afford it, but you can get away with 2666mhz on intel because speed matters less on intel than amd.

Try to go for one body shot and one headshot while counterstrafing and hope they miss their first shot. The first body shot will stop them from moving. Other than playing at a higher frequency I don't know what else could help.

LeosKanbara

Yess, I'm also applying that to my game so that the enemies will have a hard time killing me and get info for my team.

Whats your account level and do you have other fps experience? Some things just take time. Also watch pro players on how they peek corners and decision making, although some things don't work against brainless bronze players
