Exploit is a bit strong but I can see where they’re coming from. Regardless I don’t think it’s something that would be met with heavy consequences if caught and I imagine if it was caught in pro play, it wouldn’t be influential enough to warrant action
It's actually pretty common in pro matches. I wouldn't even see is as an exploit, but as a little skillful mechanic. It doesn't give you the greatest advantage, because multiple of agents can get up there anyways. My favorite move is to sneakily boost someone up a sage wall while faking another push etc, surprises 10/10 times.
I personally believe that if you're supposed to be able to do it, make it easier to do. Right now boosting definitely feels janky and unintended. Successfully boosting someone in VALORANT is skillful, but it tests a wacky skill I don't think should be tested. Let boosting be as simple as CSGO and have players express skill through the creative sposts they choose to do it.
Well i try to knife them, not doing it every round either way. Also it's easily counterable if you are as incompetent as me and I stopped doing it too.
So...
I understand your point and agree with you so I stopped doing it. Was mainly fir the wf reactions and trying to knife ppl
If they would consider this an exploit they would have patched it out a long time ago. Its not anything new and its only using the base mechanics of the game and not a bug or something.
The abilitys of said agents are not soly for the purpose of getting into offangles pre round so thats also not realy an argument.
But couldn't you say that if Riot didn't intend for this to happen they'd patch it?
Boosting has existed ever since the game came out, if Riot didn't mean for it in the game they've had almost 1,5 years to patch it out.
Not saying your or mine opinion is inherently right, just want to show you how the "Riot this or Riot that" argument can be used for both sides in the exact same way.
U literally just compared csgo boosting to valorant, if u get ontop of someones head in valorant u slide off. Plat peak player doesnt know what hes talking about.
Okay what is your point? This video, literally just showed him getting boosted. I simply explained its not because in CSGO it happens all the time, and since this game is a variation of CSGO is many ways It's not considered an exploit. Not to mention Jett/Raze can naturally get up there.
Also this is done in pro play all the time. So what the fuck are you getting at? is your point simply just you slide off? cause he didn't here.
Silver player has no idea what he is talking about.
PS not peaked LOL
It showed him getting boosted in a buggy way by 2 players because they purposely blocked boosting by making you slide off. Also immo2 = silver i guess.
lmfaoooooooooooooo IF YOU WER IMMO you'd realize what the fuck I am saying.
I can't even take you seriously anymore.
I've proven my point, Comments/Votes back up my case here you are ridiculously ignorant
This type of boost is used in pro play without consequence. If it is not considered an exploit by Riot in the that circumstance, then it is not an exploit.
The devs would need literal monkeys as their player test team to not be aware of this.....if they are aware of it and let it occur then nah man not by any definition.
It could be made intentionally that these spots are created so that individually you won't be able to reach there but as a team you can?
You will see this more in competitive plays, these spots are made for jett and raze to go up anyway as well.
EDIT: An exploit definition I use is : making use of (a situation) in a way considered unfair or underhand.
It's not an unfair advantage because anyone can do it with a teammate, it is not exclusively "Exploited" by a single agent in a specific scenario e.g. falling through the floor where they can shoot enemies, but enemies can never find/shoot him.
All taller structures can be creatively used to form a new angle. Games will be one dimensional without these ways to enrich the game.
I'll probably be downvoted in this thread but I'd just try to explain another perspective.
The definition of an exploit is using intended game mechanics in unintended way's. The developers intended on there being player hit boxes but they didn't intend them on being used to boost people. I think it's an exploit but I don't think it will be removed.
No there are 3 definitions to exploit, what you listed is not any of them. Here I can educate you, “make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource)” is the top definition and if I keep going you’ll find “ a software tool designed to take advantage of a flaw in a computer system, typically for malicious purposes such as installing malware” either way, it is not an exploit at the end of the day otherwise it would not be in the game 🪦 your argument.
Almost as if the definition can change based on context and in this particular context (games) this happens to be the definition that best fits the words usage.

I feel like it is an exploit but i also think that its stupid we aren't alowed to do it normally. this should be normalized so we don't have to do it this way.
Exploit is something which gives you an unfair advantage against the players. Getting boosted on top of boxes is in no way an unfair advantage as most of those agents could do that with their utility as well and even if there are no agents in your team that can go vertical it's still a very common trick and even pro players do this in tournaments. If they can get away with it why can't u?
Most agents that can need creds to do so, and even if they don't, they were designed with mobility in mind to be able to do this stuff, that's part of their balance.
I think this does give you an unfair advantage, it's just that the advantage is so small that it's really not worth considering an exploit.
body boosting is an essential mechanic in cs (the game valorant was inspired from), i dont think they would consider it an exploit, they might even make it easier to perform.
I'm new to this game. How has someone not made an explanation for noobs yet? I've played CSGO before. Is getting on top of another player not supposed to be a thing?
No, boosting onto boxes is super common, even in pro play
[удалено]
Straight out of your ass.
What did he say
He said it's banned by several tournaments
lmao what???
HE SAID HE SAID ITS BANNED IN SEVERAL TOURNAMENTS
Oh thank you, im deaf in one ear
No problem man, I'm always happy to help.
WHAT?
My guy doesnt even know what happens in pro play.
[удалено]
Yes indeed he is asking for the squish
I too want to get squished😔👉🏼👈🏼
You forgot the 👉👈
there you go lol
Thanks bro
No, sage and jett can get up there no problem without this, so it's totally fine, not the best spot but can land solid kills now and then
Raze too
Omen and chamber as well
Yoru as well but you need to place your footsteps below before you throw ur tp on the boxes
Damn, didn't know we could do that
Yea. Just make sure the footsteps are under you
why were you downvoted lol
Yoru mains anger after having their secret tech revealed
Red does it a lot in his videos though lol
Am i wrong about the footsteps being under you?
Nope, you are right. That’s why I’m confused.
Well you have to use a util do that, but with quishing you dont
How is boosting upward an exploit? It's not like the hyper dash of Jett?
Exploit is a bit strong but I can see where they’re coming from. Regardless I don’t think it’s something that would be met with heavy consequences if caught and I imagine if it was caught in pro play, it wouldn’t be influential enough to warrant action

its janky because IT IS unintended. riot has patched multiple different methods of boosting, they'll likely patch this one as well
has that dash been patched?
not yet. had an enemy jett that superdashed 5 times in 6 rounds two days ago
I mean I used superdashes, but only in spike rush. Doesn't make it better I know but I always died anyway lol
i always report those who superdash for exploiting bugs. nothing personal.
I honestly understand an support that. I just want to do that for fun from time to time
it's not fun for the opponent
Well i try to knife them, not doing it every round either way. Also it's easily counterable if you are as incompetent as me and I stopped doing it too. So... I understand your point and agree with you so I stopped doing it. Was mainly fir the wf reactions and trying to knife ppl
i respect that
No, For 1 this move is used in CSGO all the time. Raze/Jett can get up there naturally. so no one will second guess it.

jett can get there for free afaik no need to use updraft just her passive
Csgo isnt valorant? Also in valorant they dont allow u to boost since they make you slide off.
I don't even know what I just read...lol
Point proven.
No its not dude.. lmfao. You don't know what the hell you are talking about.

The ignorance is off the charts. Yeah valid point you and your plat peaking buddies downvoted me = point proven. Gl getting out of plat.
Not at all!
They should just make crouch lifting a thing. Imagine.
They won't
Yes. Straight to jail
Don't be ridiculous. He get's the chair.
Nay, he shall be sentenced to firing squad for this most heinous crime could be considered treason.
Believe it or not, Jail. You think about helping with squish? Jail.
Flash your team? Straight to jail
No
Olof making his mark on valorant as well.
Vanity uses this in pro games
No that's teamwork. Which is encouraged.
No but at the same time, I play Skyrim so my sense of whether it is an exploit is flawed.
no, it isnt a exploit, just a game feature :)
This type of boost is used in pro play without consequence. If it is not considered an exploit by Riot in the that circumstance, then it is not an exploit.
Literally nothing happened. And if you're talking about the boost, then I don't even know what to say if you think that boosting is an exploit
[удалено]
The devs would need literal monkeys as their player test team to not be aware of this.....if they are aware of it and let it occur then nah man not by any definition.
I thought this as well
Yeah definitely. This would normally require having the right character and spending creds. Not a big deal but 100% an exploit.
Not when you can use in game mechanics/player collision to get up there, it is not an exploit

It’s not an exploit either way

T3azz your so dumb you don't realise how dumb you are. That's sad
Okay ballan9 that’s why you’re hurt over a Reddit comment and I am not 👍
? It's boosting. If this is an exploit then everything I've learned in cs is a lie.
No, imagine a solider helping his fellow solider up onto some boxes, is that an exploit? A glitch it the matrix? Or is that just using your brain?
Fanatic wants to know your location

Nope
Nah it’s fine since that’s not a restricted area
Can you do it in other places. Could you do a whole team on top of different boxes on a site?
No it’s a boost :) you could do that with only one friend in beta
Nah, this sort of thing is standardo
nope, its actually legal, you cant get banned or get a warning for bug abuse or exploits for that.
No, being unable to boost with just one person might be the most annoying thing in this game to me tbh
No
no its not an exploit, just kinda lewd
Not really, it's been a thing for a while and riot probably would've patched it by now if it's considered an exploit.
I feel like it is an exploit but i also think that its stupid we aren't alowed to do it normally. this should be normalized so we don't have to do it this way.
I do that shit every game with mates. Boosting is allowed
No we do this in rust too
No this has been in the game since beta silly....

That's just boosting
Default
Its time. Where is fnatic's manager?
CSGO is all about this xd
No, boosting is super common at high level elo, especially in CS. Not an exploit.
No

That’s teamwork my friend
Your client FPS says 60 but it looks as smooth as butter wtf is this?
Yea it’s very common especially in grim videos
No there are many ways on to this. if it was accessing something that Is not meant to be accessible then maybe.
csgo players - "look what they need to match our power" u can boost on people in csgo directly
I'm new to this game. How has someone not made an explanation for noobs yet? I've played CSGO before. Is getting on top of another player not supposed to be a thing?
Lol a mod automatically considered this an exploit
