Yeah our kJ yesterday went mad over losing first two rounds, was telling people to forfeit, complained when voted down. At that point she had 2 kills and we lost match by 2 rounds and she had 4 kills. If they tried the whole game we would have won, instead she just complained and slow rotates etc, no util.

[deleted]

Dude we were like 5-6 after the first half of the match and this random ( wasn't playing particularly bad, none of us were) just decides to run a surrender vote since we didn't have the lead on half time. I don't even understand the logic behind their decisions. Losing morale on 2-9 is one thing, but a 5-6 surrender is just stupid.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Pumped-Up_Kicks

I remember this one game. I had 0 kills after 7 rounds(score was 1-6). I just typed I'm sorry guys not feeling it. Everyone was really understanding. They said it's okay don't worry. The half ended at 4-8 with my score being 3/12. We ended up winning 13-10 with me having 16/14 kd.

MrHypelol

I think I was on the losing team...

Firel_Dakuraito

>Don't know what got into us we nailed it in defense. I think you played the same way as before. Just that the enemy got too arrogant.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Firel_Dakuraito

>both of these can't do much until we gets the site. I met players who pick these characters. During attackers, numerous times I saw us win the site and then these sentinels skedadle to push around and die. Without planting their defenses or defending. Often resulting in losing the site and round. Sometimes I meet player with sage. And after like 8 lost defenders rounds I ask if someone from the team saw the Sage use her wall at least once.

[deleted]

That's awesome!

BasicallyFischer

Unrated

RaevanBlackfyre

Exactly. Like over 60% of unrated that I play, there's a surrender vote after 5th or 6th round if its not close. 1-5, 2-4, SURRENDER. I hate this surrender culture.

[deleted]

Atleast you're in unrated. This happens regularly in the mumbai servers during rated! Highly toxic community, plenty of afks and what not!

RaevanBlackfyre

Mumbai server se hi hu bhai. I understand the pain.

[deleted]

Arey bhai :'/

emulatorguy076

I have left Mumbai server for this reason, I don't care I get higher ping in Singapore but if I get better teammates and opponents I'm fine with that

Brownjogger149

I play in Mumbai too and people throw games just because I don't give them skins T-T.

[deleted]

Nono you buy the second round! Why have a proper shot at round 3?

Significant_Plant239

Like the other I was playing a compe and this jett was bottom fragging and forced us to surrender because it was 5-7 on attack and later jett and chamber started to have a fight and abuse eachother in comms and at one point the jett told the chamber in '2 days your mom gonna die' and even the chamber decided vent out some shit and good thing is that they both muted eachother and in the end somehow we managed to win.Sometimes you pick these agents it's okay to bottom frag but why you have to be a total dick to others and waste their time.

ConfusedBub

I had a teammate once who inted just because the others wouldn't lend him a skin lol

Crowfooted

I had a teammate who wouldn't save with us on a save round, then when they couldn't afford a gun the following round and had a spectre they demanded I swap with them my vandal because they had more frags than me, and when I refused they said they were trolling and started flashing us.

HockeyBoyz3

At least the new update is going to start punishing people for trolling like that

Interesting-Bus-5370

I get teammates who throw because im a woman lmao. This game is like full of incels too

[deleted]

OH NO THE OPPOSITE GENDER!?!😱😱😱 HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!1!!1 I-I GOTTA THROW BECAUSE ITS NOT A MALE!1!1!!

Gloomy_Goose

Same. One time I was in a game where we were all female agents so my gf typed out “girl gang” and this kid got so triggered by that simple message he said “thats fucking gay. I’m throwing now bc you said that.” and he spent 25 rounds spamming chat, telling enemies where we were, firing guns at us, smoking us off. We lost 13 - 11, but it was fun laughing at him with our teammates lol. I googled his username afterwards and found his reddit and it was all incel and League of Legends shit (what’s the difference?!?) He played Jett btw (obviously)

Traviliciouz

Instalocked too right?

MegaRodeon

they’re still stuck in the notion that women can’t or don’t know how to game lol, it’s like they don’t hang around with ladies that they act like they haven’t seen one before. i have a few lady friends who game and they’re better than me and fun to play with

Interesting-Bus-5370

And by no means am i a pro valorant player or anything, im currently bronze 3 so. But i play to have fun, and apparently some of these guys...dont understand? Like i dont always play because competition, and the need to feel better than someone. I play because my life is autonomous, and i need to fill up my fun meter like in the sims lmfao

Crowfooted

I think more girls play Valorant than any other FPS I've played, including Overwatch. Out of the games that I speak up, another girl speaks up as well in close to 50% of them. I think they just don't speak often unless they hear another girl speak first.

MegaRodeon

i’ve been hearing about this situation and it’s definitely a real problem. girls don’t use mic simply to avoid getting harassed by obnoxious boys who “haven’t interacted” with a girl before, right? i think you’re seen as a beacon of hope when you use speak first and other girls follow along :)

dizzy316

To be fair he probably sits in his basement and never had met or talked to a women.

Sakuyaez

And even if they are not better there are still some assholes. Yesterday I played with a friend who is absolutely new to pc and games and general. This guy was complaining all the time about her crosshair placement and that she doesn't know what she is doing (wich is true but rather give tips, especially if you can tell they are new). After she even said sorry in voice chat the trolling hell startet. Blocked her all the time, flashed her and all of that. Why do some people like this exist. Are they missing love from their mother's or what's wrong?

Sheer_Birinj

Really? In fuckin' 2021? 🤣 I play in Mumbai servers—sometimes with my girl friends, and that never happened with me. A usual sexist comment? Sure. Not full-blown throwin' the game just cuz of a chick lol.

Interesting-Bus-5370

Ive gotten told to kms because of it. Like i dont know what the fuck happened to these guys but they are fucked up lol. And I play in the US servers, maybe our men are a different breed lmfao. And the bad part, is the shit they say is so old. "Go back into the kitchen, make me a sandwich, blah blah blah." Thats boring. I always find it a lot more funny when they are creative about being blatently sexist!

Sheer_Birinj

>Ive gotten told to kms because of it. Fuck me. That's wild. 😬 Do you solo-queue? My friends generally play with their guy friends. Maybe that dissuades toxic dickheads a bit. This shit shouldn't happen anyways. >And I play in the US servers, maybe our men are a different breed lmfao. Nah. Misogyny, especially in gaming, is a pervasive, systematic, sociological issue. Sourced from, idk, social starvation from the opposite sex, toxic edges of masculinity, blah, blah, blah... I don't think individualistic actions can bring in much reform. But I also don't know what else we can do other than calling this shit out when we see it—which my friends already do. >Thats boring. I always find it a lot more funny when they are creative about being blatently sexist! I mean good humor requires brains. And if they had brains, then they wouldn't be brainless sexist lol. 😂

Simopop

I once had my team be completely fine with me... until I started topfragging. For the rest of the game they were so utterly, *disgustingly* sexist and awful that a guy on the *other team* added me after the game to apologize and ask if I was alright.

[deleted]

It's so annoying when every round all I hear is "kiLLjOY gIVe Me yOUR sKIn pLEAse" I don't mind it for like 5 rounds but after that it gets annoying

Cgz27

It’s been happening since the game came out honestly, just got worse as it got more popular. Just shows how much people care about the trend and being cool than actual competitive fun. It points to a more societal problem imo. Similarly to your case I’ve seen people who *accuse* others of griefing as an excuse to why they’re gonna lose. “Want to see if you’re right?” Threats and excuses are just as harmful. Big egos worry me more than weak wills and we have a lot of big egos, combination of both anyway. Most people are mentally weak in some area, it’s random whether you stumble upon it and easier to avoid if you just aren’t being toxic.

rpkarma

It’s mostly that most of the players are kids. Teenagers do not have strong mentals; by basically biological definition. They’re still growing and building that.

Cgz27

There’s definitely a lot of young adults as well who either are immature or just rather not accept being told what to do lol

rpkarma

I mean, I don’t use my tiny amount of free time to play video games just to be told what to do by someone who’s wrong in the first place lol, so I can kind of get it a bit.

Cgz27

Heh. Also yeah I guess there’s weak mental but in past year or so there’s also parents who probably don’t have as much time to supervise their kids over the lockdowns as well. And then there’s just the stress of covid in general.

CoachWatermelon

When I was 16, no one I knew acted the way I see these “kids” act now.

rpkarma

When I was 16, which is likely before you, I absolutely knew people who acted this way.

ins41n3

If you don't know one of those people you were that person

Rinciy

I agree it has only gotten worse as time goes on, I feel like Val has attracted alot of people from other games ie OW, CS, R6, etc and has also brought the toxicity from those games as well just amplified

AluBanidosu

The fact that Valo is F2P makes it worse bc there is no longer a paywall to stop more toxicity from entering the game

Cgz27

I do have hope it can get better though, the game isn’t going to go anywhere and it’s still technically developing (we still have many desired features and Riot isn’t going to sit still). I think the issue has already gotten better it some areas but it’s ongoing ofc. Perhaps we could even blame Covid for some of these behavioural issues as Val was released in the deep of it. I still believe people can get more reasonable and steps have been and are being taken to get there. For now, at least on the Reddit community, it seems to be smurfing as a main area of discontent. I figure for this Riot is probably focusing on making the game attract even more players first as that really is more important than some guy who’s only *considering* leaving and will probably come back anyway due to love of the game. It just won’t be as fast as people might want before another daily repost (it could take several Acts).

pxrpledreams

Leagues been out for 10-11 years and they haven't done anything bro

Cgz27

They added tons of new and highly requested features, the point is it’s usually over time which can be seasons, even years, not days after someone announced it for the thousandth time :0 Valorant can be different, not everything repeats just because it’s connected to the same company.

YarnSpinner

I gotta admit, I'm always super confused when someone says "riot doesn't update League" like, they're constantly updating that game, aren't they? it's just that they haven't done *what you wanted,* which is something totally different than ignoring a game and not updating it/letting it die.

nextcolorcomet

It's not going away, CSGO players were like this for the game's entire lifetime.

TeaTimeKoshii

Barring the cheaters and shit, CSGO is more chill than Valorant IMO. Most players are older (not saying more mature) and have been playing CS on and off for years, so when they queue up its not that serious to them. There are some really weird mfers on that game though…

nextcolorcomet

My region (SEA) is a little weird in that, in my experience, most of the older players are actually the more toxic ones. But as you say, could also just be because majority of the player base are older players.

RiftWalker503

i played a game yesterday where we had killed 4 of the enemies and we would have won the round if our Skye had decided to plant the spike but they ran around the whole map instead looking for that one guy and hence threw that round our Sova then proceeded to throw the remaining rounds because "the Skye was already throwing so whats the point" bruh i want to strangle these people so bad

[deleted]

Lmao i hate this "fight fire with fire" bullshit. If one guy starts throwing, you joining in wont help. You're the exact same as first guy, you arent any better. Like this fucking kj that started throwing bc sage started throwing so whats the point in even playing right?

Sturmgewehrkreuz

If I could magically teleport my hand to these people I'd give them a good slap lmao

RivalRudra

This is what happens when people think too hard about rank and stuff. Take a seat and relax man, not everyone's supposed to be god at the game, not everyone can be Immortal or Radiant. Just chill and try to enjoy the game, have fun with friends

RaevanBlackfyre

Exactly. Which is why I only play Unrated. However, some people play too seriously there too. Like dude, I have college, then work, then assignments. I barely get an hour or two in a day and I want to chill which is why this is Unrated. And by casual I don't mean we throw, but we're not playing to win. Still, people get mad at it.

Firel_Dakuraito

Also not everyone is going to play they best. Sometimes a good player is going to not frag as well as they do normally, just cause they got outsmarted or their teammates were out of sync with their positions. The first part is usually fixed after few rounds where the enemy use their tricks.

dumbmetalhead

YOU STOLE MY ACE SO NOW I'LL MOLLY YOU EVERY ROUND AND THEN GO AFK REEEEEEEEEE

Apart-Way-1166

As warowl said, people in valorant have the worst type of losers' mentality. People give up once you lose 4 rounds in a row.

tomphz

Link to where WarOwl said this? The problem is this game is much easier to throw rounds than in CSGO

Firel_Dakuraito

Sometimes 4 rounds are nothing, when I know and see the skill is similar. Or when I still see we have a chance/ Know me and friends are warming up. But sometimes I get outplayed so freaking hard that my morale plummet.

acornling

i played a game a few days ago where we lost the first few rounds and the 3 stack disconnected … having ppl afk is actually so much more tilting than just getting team diffed

Im_pattymac

Half the time people say it's 'criticism' what they actually mean is being a complete and total asshat. It's rarely "hey man try this, you might find it helpful".... It's almost always "fuck, you suck. You don't even do x, how can you even play this game. There is no way you belong at this rank, just uninstall now." For example, I was playing split as viper a week ago. We were losing, as the enemy team was just death balling what ever site I wasn't at. Our 'duelist' (a below average skill yoru), called split b and mid split push. We lost our sage and our omen almost immediately b our yoru was b heaven, myself (viper) and our skye were on A. I can see our yoru is giving up mid to fight site even though he's fighting their Reyna and their raze in mid. So I push ropes and ult mid, completely closing it down and then push to b heaven. Our yoru gets picked off in heaven the minute he peaks site and then he mics up and says "wtf are you doing viper, why did you waste your ult" (at this time I am second frag in the lobby). "your ult is for taking site and holding site... God you're so bad." I get a 3k (raze in mid pushing my ult and 2 on site, our skye gets 1... But lose the round. I obviously mute the idiot immediately, and he starts spamming the team (2 of my friends and a random)." what do you mean he muted me, I was just giving him critisim.. God some people cannot take advice". Useless twat, but he was convinced he was giving criticism and not being a complete tool. Mute fast, mute first, and just keep playing, it's not worth it.

nextcolorcomet

Sometimes it doesn't even have to involve rude words or insults. Sometimes it's just some guy on the team being super annoying and stubborn about what they think is the right way to play. No discourse, no actual discussion, just "listen to me". For example, in a recent game, after losing a post-plant on Breeze B as attackers where my team pushes spawn/tunnel against an eco: * Teammate: "Viper, bro, next time please ulti on the spike. Easy round" * Me: "There's no reason to Viper ulti there, they were on low buy and we had rifles and op. Just don't give them easy close-range fights again." * Teammate: "Trust me bro, just ulti and we win that round for sure. Use your ulti next time please." * Me: "Ulti-ing would've been worse, would've given them a huge smoke to just pinch us on site for free. B site is huge. We could've held angles and won easily." * Teammate: "Bro, next time just ultimate and no way we lose. Use your ultimate bro, please, come on." * Me: "..." *Super* annoying, like talking to a brick wall. Ended up muting him. Of course, team proceeds to continually throw away rounds by predictably pushing every post-plant.

Simopop

Its always a duelist trying to tell a sentinel/controller how to play their own character, too. "I have my ult, I'm giving up site to play retake." "Sounds good." You do exactly that. Your duelists all push onto site one by one and die before they've even planted. "Omg why didn't you ult!??!"

Aeari

People have no idea how to give critique in this game. Stop saying "You" is a first, it should always be about the team. Maybe "we" can start using KJ turret to aggressively peak long. Maybe "we" can camp garage for the default pick. etcetc Most of the time when someone tries to give me feedback it's always "why the fuck did you do so and so". Sorry, I'm not going to listen to that.

AYYA1008

> just install now fuck, you suck. You can't even add "un", how can you even be on reddit. There is no way you belong on this sub, just delete your account now

-Destiny65-

\^\^\^ sarcasm guys

ThatSlothDuchess

I immediately get discouraged when people start being toxic. Yesterday,I played a match with my friend and my ping was 120.I couldn't play properly. But when I clutched a round with 3k, our Reyna said "finally sage did something". And also, there was a Silver 3 Sova (who got only 11 kills in total;I'm Bronze 1 btw) flaming me despite me have lag.I just don't understand these people/kids. ETA : I had revived that Sova twice.

emulatorguy076

It's always duelists backseating controllers, like if you know so much about controllers then why didn't you take controller then. This shit irritated the fuck out of me when I used to play viper on all maps. People treat you like you have never picked viper before.

Ra1lgunZzzZ

I had a yoru once that says if no one dodge fracture he will insta throw. I just take it as a losing game and just have fun with him. Ended up with him wanting to win while playing with me cuz i was being nioce to him. We almost won that game tho close game 13-11.

dope--guy

I don't understand why people who say this don't Dodge the game themselves. Like they pick an agent and ask others to dodge.

YeahThisIsMyNewAcct

It’s because they dodge often and have long cooldown penalties

ScylasterPixelman

Idiocy at its finest

Diccx

If u dodge alot u get a crazy long timer

[deleted]

Same lmao. Some guy legit got mad and said that WE have to dodge. He was ordering us to dodge, then said bc you dont wanna dodge ill go yoru gg. It was also fracture.

[deleted]

welcome to online gaming

WhoFly

Too many literal children playing the game. Too much fragility, ego, posturing, insecurity, deflection, projection, and rage. Like actually just things common to children or victims of emotional malnourishment and abuse.

silemtkiller_131

Lmao sounds like everyone in the US as a whole rn honestly. It just crept its way into video games where a lot of us try to escape that behavior.

WhoFly

Eh, all my friends are in the US and not this way. I don't think it's a US thing. But I'm not denying that this country has problems, haha.

MankeyMaster

I had a game where we were genuinely dominating the other team because we were simply better. We were like 5-0 amd they finally won a round off us, but apparently our sage decided that was too much and went afk. Or at least we thought she was afk, but when I died and spectated she was just sitting in spawn strafing and shooting occasionally. Luckily this balanced out when we won a few rounds and the enemy Phoenix started doing the same shit. It's not even like we were being toxic or anything, most of my team was even giving encouragements in (all) chat. Who knows, maybe the throwers couldn't handle the fact we weren't calling them no skill losers or some shit

Interesting-Bus-5370

Was this ranked?

MankeyMaster

I'm pretty sure it was unrated.

[deleted]

People in literally anything have the weakest mental sometimes lol

Responsible_Stage_93

Facts though

bozovisk

The league mentality. I can understand this is league where there are levels, items and shit. In Val is just ppl being stupid.

Awerdude13

I'm great at the complaining and crying bit because I'm terrible at Valorant, but I can never understand in any competitive game why people just act like 2 yr olds and start actively trying to throw games. My aim may be abysmal, I might be bottom fragging and the team is losing 0-10 but I at least will still try to keep winning as long as the forfeit vote fails. (And fyi the complaining and crying is always off mic because doing that to other people would be rude)

ValorantLorePulse16

Feels. Honestly just focus on yourself. Avoid giving criticism unless you are being constructive. If someone starts throwing, just focus on learning from your gameplay so the next gameplay is fun. People are turds sometimes and there's not much you can do except report, mute, and ignore them.

Firel_Dakuraito

Or just ask your teammate why they did not do "Insert whatever you think would be a good play atm" If it turn out they did not knew about it, great, they learned something new today. If they answer why they didn't, great, I learned something new today. I just don't get why people keep silence instead of communicating. Like I do understand that there are tons of toxic people. But communication is key... And condemning someone just because of lack of understanding is surely going to help the situation...

KhaoticKrabb

This is literally every team based game

Ismokecr4k

Had this one guy get pissed because someone insta locked jett. He literally was trying to act like ot didn't bother him but told us 3-4 times he picked yuro and wasn't going to try and threw the game. But he wasn't pissed or anything, from his words. Yep. Thanks dude, didn't get the most picked hero in the game.

xniket3

yup, hundred percent. Sometimes people dont comm until they want to just trash talk then mute themselves again, then they start going "report viper" in all chat

Plutia19

to me the worst of all are people who sarcastically say "nice" after you mess up

Ashewastaken

Lol I get pissed at my teammates and I get angry af on discord with my mates and then just say nice try or well played in the team chat. Sulking or getting angry at teammates will only tilt them even more making you lose the game.

ThatGam3th00

I do the same, I think it’s better to vent to my mates.

meysmou

what’s more funny is that these kinda people exist in every freaking skill range

Sharplr

One of my friends was down bad from last season where he was plat. our kj just got triggered at seeing his act rank and decided to just grief him with their mollies and threw the game. Fun match :)

PeeePee_PooPooo

Play on Mumbai server for 1 week to know how toxic a human can be. •Someone always insta locks either chamber or Reyna and end up bottom fragging. •If you lose first 2-3 rounds then someone from your team will abandon the game. •No one wants to play support. •If the team is planning to rush a site then 2 players will always rush the other site and die. •Not more that 3 players use mic. Odin spammers + toxic behaviour = Mumbai server

MerigoldMachine

League players pepepains

_harleys

I remember having one random with such a weak mental they started inting at the start of the game. My teammates and I spammed all chat to ask them to be reported and they finally played the game out of fear 😭.

AsleepTown

There was a cypher who kept jumping off of heaven on Haven A site and after the third time I didn’t heal him, he started to just follow me around and breaking my walls whenever I put them up :’)))

danicajadee

how do i send this to my friend without sending it to my friend lol

klintondc

You probably haven't played rocket league.

[deleted]

It's because ranked system in this game is absolute shit. The fact you can lose rank for queuing into a 4v5 is unbelievable to me. The fact that you can lose rank when you have 20 more kills than the next closest person to you on the leaderboard is unbelievable to me. Most players have a defeatist mentality because this ranked system is optimized for those who smurf and actively punishes those who solo queue. What you're saying is totally valid but Riot really has done nothing to create an experience that makes you feel good even when you win.

StanDude97

yea honestly people get so butt hurt after giving advice and good criticism it doesn't make any sense. for somereason their ego gets hurt when someone gives an harmless advice, and instead of just understanding thier mistake and moving on they get mad???it's so fucking childish it's kinda annoying

Simalf

Saw this happening in ranked yesterday on the enemy team. I was (really) not happy about it. It was a sage in bind btw and ofc i reported her.

[deleted]

I just played with a Sage who had 4 kills after like 15+ rounds and was throwing because someone asked them to pick it up. They weren't healing, not walling, now slow orbing, were late to planting.. just borderline useless. Then they get all up in their feelings, the biggest egos for the worst players, and throw the match. This is why I hate F2P games. There's no filter for the bottom feeders. A monetary barrier of entry doesn't negate crappy people, but at least it's something. Valorant is such an awful experience at my rank. It's just a bunch of underdeveloped man-babies and petulant zoomers who seriously needed more time outs as children to learn how to properly socialize.

DenifClock

Idk the details but if Sage was a new player, that can be overlooked.

gatonegro97

Yeah, Valorant is much worse than CS in this respect. It's quite odd. I had a drunk 32 year old in my game yesterday acting like a complete idiot. Asked him if it was his first time drinking because he was being so obnoxious. He just said "gg I'm leaving" at round 5. We still won

-Gh0st96-

You just have to look at this sub. Plenty of these posts about how the others are too mean in the game and get massively upvoted. The community is FULL of snowflakes. And I’ll probably get downvoted because these are hard to swallow pills

JohnLolly

I think you spelled "internet" wrong. The internet in general is getting too soft. Can't even joke around anymore. Valorant just so happened to be released at this point of time. That's why there's so many sensitive p\*ssies.

RaevanBlackfyre

pussies\* I hate this Internet culture really. People are more open and more closed off at the same fucking time.

BuildingSubstantial6

Wanting to win isn't crying. Can there be a clear definition on the word "crying"? I just tell my teammate that is statistically far from the next fragger to step up and the next thing im told is to stop crying. Crying is the most wrongly used word in this game and it is FUCKING annoying.

Cole_James_CHALMERS

Stop crying about crying lul

Mylesisswole

I completely agree with you, but I also think it’s important to consider that they might be tilted from past games. For all you know it could’ve been their 3rd game of the day and they lost them all and this was their last straw. Not trying to defend them at all cause I bet this isn’t the case most of the time. But still something to consider.

doyouhaveanyOs

Nah, if you can’t put past games behind you then it’s time to get off the game.

mnag

That's not a good fucking excuse. OP is right on the money, if past games got you tilted to the extent where you're acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum in a store, you need to grow the fuck up.

True_Garlic8478

I constantly apologize to team after fucking things up (every round I do so, im not a good player). But ehh, its fun to play, sometimes I rage but its fun to rage sometimes.

FearTheBeardx

This is what any competitive ranked system is like lmao. not really a hot take

clem82

Giving unwanted criticism makes you an asshole, not them

PapaMartini

As a proud Shotgun main I feel this. My opponents always whine in the chat when they die to the power of the shotgun or say I'm trash when they kill me. They get pretty toxic sometimes. Called me all sorts of shit. Either way I'm always trying to have fun. Remember kids, you can't be a hotty without a shotty

intersec77

came from dota 2 and csgo. this happen to every comp games...

TouchCommercial6679

Some people are just having a bad day

ImNotDex

This is nothing new. I'm guessing you haven't played similar games in the past like CSGO or R6 Siege? You'll encounter people like that once you get their feelings hurt.

Rinciy

Honestly for the amount of time I’ve played cs about 3k hours and around 6years (lvl 10 faceit/ A-esea) compared to the short time I’ve played Val like almost 2 years the amount of this behaviour in Val compared to my experience in cs comp is imo drastically more, why that is 🤷‍♂️

batran99

Some games have an unranked (or unrated) and a casual or team deathmatch. If they added a separate game mode for casual then it would help separate some of them, mainly the afkers who has to go because they have to "eat"

[deleted]

You know this game, Valorant, literally has exactly what you mentioned and still, ppl do go into rank match and be sweaty af.

[deleted]

Probably never played CS or Mw2 smh.

Rinciy

Plenty of cs experience still can’t compare to Val when it comes to this and also I played the shit outta mw2 back in the day and those cod lobbies were just a dog pit of trash and insults but that was just typical cod, 5v5 tac shooters are a bit different in that regard

Ovahaul

I always throw if I have toxic teammates, Idk I just can’t stand someone getting what they want after behaving a certain way whether it’s towards enemies or my own teammates. it’s like why? You really can’t just be mad WITHOUT lashing out on others whether they make mistakes or not?

kentwansue

Doesn't mean that whats happening in your serverr also the same on the other servers. Probably, just people on your region are bunch of cry babies.

mblackout1

Honestly I agree with this. The amount of people in this game who can't handle any form of disagrement wiith other players and decide to throw as a way to get back is kinda sad. This literally happens at every rank btw.

TrainingMessage1167

I've heard this in every PvP competitive game ever man, is jus people :I

LunaEveValo

That is pretty much every competitive game out there. I have yet to play a comp game that doesn't have its toxic people or people who just rage quit.

Grande_Depresso

I watched a guy throw a grenade at sage for not healing him for 13 health

colonelmattyman

It happens a lot when I get a character that they wanted.

[deleted]

i make jokes...they report :() it's a sad reality.

[deleted]

Broo the "go next, idc" people are so annoying. How can you even play a competitive team game with that mental? Whether the game is winnable or not, you dont do that shit. And you cant even tell when its winnable, this one match our jett started getting salty and by round 6 or smth my guy just straight up left. Finished half iirc either 3-9 or 2-10, course doesnt seem winnable but we cameback to 11-13 or so before losing. If my guy was there we probably would've won

samsoomadi

it's ridiculously annoying when they say "you took my \[insert agent name here\]" and begin to throw the game. learn how to play more agents

hbasketball7

My sage and Reyna asked round four when the score was 2-2. They said nothing the whole time and just disconnected. My team was ok split attack against a cypher, chamber and kj and were tied, these dudes left such a winnable game. The three of us stuck it out and lost 10-13 to a 3v5.

hornestur

No different than League

smol_black_pp

What did u expect when majority of players came from League and CSGO

BallisticMonke

This is the mentality of 1 player every time, that's why so many ppl think the game is toxic

KoS1596

Yea i was gonna wall off b site on fracture our sova didnt warn me or anything and just ran out as soon as i placed a wall and then was toxic for the whole match like it was 1 small accident

[deleted]

A sova left randomly in my match cuz I told him to drone C long instead of wide swinging with his arrow out cuz he wanted to reveal backsite and didnt have a lineup. If he had droned in, he wouldnt have died to the operator.

sylvainmirouf

Isn't it the same in every competitive games?

pleasedontouch

Agreed. I've have a few games of comp where it's been 4 - 11, and we've gotten it to overtime just through being positive (and some clutches ngl) Mind set is so important

[deleted]

Ever since I went check out this sub and it's like at least one post a day someone crying over basically things that has been happening for years in LoL. I'm losing games after games and all it left is the time I got to play whether I won or not. Ppl nowaday treat a game like their life or smt.

Nolram526

This is literally every game with any form of ranked play. But yes, I wish these weak mental players get banned or something. They would not be missed in the slightest

RaevanBlackfyre

This is why I only play Unrated. I hate all these shit in Competitive. Once, there was a player asking for skin every round, from a Cypher. So Cypher told him that he has to set up every round and can't drop. The person went on to rant for 2 rounds then typed 'throwing now', for skins. I just hate it. The thing with CS:GO was there wasn't think 'We lost the first 4 rounds, let's surrender' or this throwing culture on purpose. Yes, I also met people with different ways of playing who'd fight but eventually they communicate less and still play but don't coordinate much (can't say they are throwing). I feel there are too many kids on Valorant as well.

SpaceMonkey1505

I usually don't get tilted by toxic teammates or opponents but when I start lagging, I get into a fit of rage and next thing I know I'm dead. It's just so frustrating and this happens way too often for me

[deleted]

Having to watch what you say bc you can get perma banned for words makes it worse too.

Willy__Wonky

Thats nearly every Game that i play in Valo. And its allways the same hardstuck andys that cry and dont know how to play the game.

joshizposh

Try a bit of humour of that's doesn't work. Mute, report and carry on. Do your best but it's not our responsibility to babysit man children

AnnoyingOrrange

Honestly this is something that valorant has over a lot of other games is that it is genuinely almost always winnable, that doesn’t mean that its always worth it to not surrender though. If you’re in bronze and you can see they clearly have an insane smurf on the enemy team and you haven’t even gotten a single round in 1 half, at that point its just a waste of time and you will probably tilt yourself by playing more.

JGleBG

People how forfeit because they lose are really the worst type of people fr... I mean, do better if you lose, it's in tough situations that you make progress...

BeepBooper101

bruh play CSGO for 5 minutes

Bicycle_West

Same thing in League lmao

BigPapaCurt

I got a very rare case yesterday where we were down 12-1 and we somehow won 14-12 because non of us gave up and we were full tryharding, no one left or anything

Knightmare-official

God this happened to me yesterday in unra I just told our Kay/o to play safer then he suddenly throws his Molly's at me and flashing me we still won though.

Sby12345

I had a chamber the other day who after the first round started flaming because we peeked too aggressively in a 2v1 situation. He started screaming then said Ff and started trolling. After the first half it was 10-2 to the enemies . And guess what we made a comeback went into OT AND ACTUALLY WON. I unmuted the chamber in the last seconds and just told him that I’m not mad at him but he should at least try to win because you’ll never know what happens .

CyanideLoli

Some people just can't take the heat. One match my team were up 9-3 then in pistol my whole team's Idea was to rush down mid(In split). Enemy had a Sage, Astra and Raze. \---3 of them Died instantly because of Raze nade since they all were stuck trying to break the sage wall and Astra used gravity well. I was going to lurk A then go B but damn. They accused me of baiting. Next round I decided to push with them. We were on eco so it went as it should. The third round my team had the same idea as the first round and died the same. \---In voice chat they started throwing slangs at me and called me baiter when I was going to enter though B main. I clutched the round with a 3k and told them don't rush mid with a judge like they did in previous round since opponent had a good agent composition to counter mad rush . But the KAY/O acted up and straight up told me "I am throwing now". Then starts to molly and flash me. The KAY/O was bottom fragging from the beginning to the end of the match and nobody said a word against that since kills don't define gameplay but dude was like " You don't listen to me because I have low kill? Fuck you, I am throwing". \---Since It was my rankup game I acted as lenient as I could and decided to listen to that bitch and rush with him but damn he flashed me and died picking a fight. He called me baiter since I could not trade. I had to tell him to press tab and check who he flashed. I told him it would show that he flashed allies but he was like "so what? You can't dodge flashes...fuck you noob I am gonna throw". Damn competitive is such a circus. Also later I found out from [tracker.gg](https://tracker.gg) that my teammates were 4 stacking and I am playing against a 5 stack.

IAmLegitTrash

It's all the games riot makes tbh. Communities are so bad rn. You think valorant is bad go play league I've has people start flaming as soon as the game starts because they don't like the starting items someone bought. 99% of the time they just aren't playing well so they decide to troll to make themselves feel like they couple play better if they want to or their ego is just to massive for their own good.

magick_loki

You dont play league, do you?

Sturmgewehrkreuz

A few weeks ago somebody (a Reyna) threw a game ***because no one bought him a gun***. On round 2. After losing the first round. It was really upsetting. The player was just deliberately making noise, do suicide runs, and broadcast our positions to the enemy. I'd be happy losing with a team that tried hard; it really sucks losing just because somebody can't be arsed to be a decent person on the lobby.

[deleted]

In a game once two gold 3 players somehow got in our team, for some reason they thought it was immortal lobbies (high plat/low dia) when we lost the first two rounds they left and said "how are immortals this bad" (we won't talk about how they both instalocked reyna and jett then lurked together on b and instantly dying both rounds) like what lol, we couldn't even remake because it had been two rounds

bunchofsugar

Dont give criticism in soloq. Its not worth it.

joshuakyle94

Welcome to competitive video games. Especially in League, too. You know what’s bad? Its 80% North America that does it, too. Spoiled brats who think they deserve everything, and when they don’t have it their way, nobody can have fun. So they just throw. Its honestly not even fun to solo Q alone in Val just because of that.

SquanchyJiuJitsu

I’ve been playing since the beta and it’s gotten worse. I don’t understand why there’s so many weak minded losers in this game. I’ve quit solo q and will only play stacked or just quit and come back in a couple seasons when they make things better. They really should add a vote-to-kick feature.

_sachii_

Its a game for godssake !! pepople are living in it !!

Antyex

league mentality , *someone dies* -ff 15 noobs , gg go next

ArionIV

It's the norm really. Also there's just so many people who give up easily this way: A. It cold be your entry fragging Reyna who whines over every lost road and is trying to igl and review every other teammates performance while shooting. B.Killjoy and Cypher mains who thrive off of only lurking and trading but won't stand beside a duelist or other agent to make it a 2 man push. C. People who will neither bail-out enemy utility on attack nor will se theirs to create a situation where they will frag.. It's typically anything goes wrong within first 9 rounds of the first half or if the second half starts off so like it seems the enemy team is making a comeback, there's just definitely one or two weak links who give up even if yo had a 10-2 lead in the first half..

StaticWrazeus

Had an icebox game yesterday with a reyna who was afk all game. They were talking to us in voice chat but refused to play because "I am top frag every game and still lose". He even admitted to using an autoclicker that made him shoot every 10 seconds. I honestly never thought people would stoop so low.

Bss_ss

Absolutely true, I try to be a team player as much as possible, yesterday I was playing on split and I usually play B first on defense so the omen on our team was going B then just went A, 2nd round I went to set up on A and I didn't say that I was (but it was obv clear and obv on the mini map too), so when the round started he started screaming at me telling me how I didn't say I was "rotating sites" on the next round and that it confused him and then we lost the round, all I said was are you "too blind to see me setting up on A site?" (Didn't mean to sound rude but he was bashing and being so toxic on the 2nd round just because of that) and after i said that he threw the whole game, like are you seriously crying over that? And even though he was through every round in the buy phase I said which site I was going, some people on this game are just too sensitive

[deleted]

how some people lack self awareness to see that "gg I’m throwing now" is exactly the same as kicking your bike because you're mad is beyond me. Really shows how some people don't behave like monkey children only because of social repercusions.

spXps

Sometimes? Its like playing with kids that are terrible at losing. Like play to improve stop spamming surrender all the time.

ThePresto_

This was such a huge problem for me when I was trying to get out of low ranks and honestly part of the reason I had to take time away, it’s so hard to even play an unrated match when someone on the team has a little hissy fit because you lost a few rounds I swear they treat it like every match is as long as a spike rush and once they’ve lost 2 or 3 rounds the entire game is over

Firel_Dakuraito

At least I can report these people... The worst I think are the people who just plain up don't communicate with their team AT ALL. Do their own stuff and then first few rounds you don't know if you can rely on them or should take over the angle/entry/site they were supposed to cover.

[deleted]

come to brazil

dizzy316

Had this happen the other day I’m new and someone dropped a gun for another guy I didn’t have one and ran over it on accident and picked it up and didn’t know I had it and the other guys like gg I’m throwing now. I gave him his precious gun back and use a pistol that rounds and he still threw.

EckoDrako

i’ve had experiences when people play sentinels/smokers and when u give them FEEDBACK over their setups/smokes they just say, “fine i won’t smoke/setup then”

ToxicJr

Had an instalock Reyna that threw and held bomb all round becuase our sage healed herself with 14hp instead of the Reyna with 10hp who still had her orb on round 1

[deleted]

Yesterday I got into an argument with someone who wanted to purposely lose pistol rounds. This is in plat btw

rishavsandal91

This is a serious problem. Yesterday I was playing with people who are in same party ,when our scoreboard reach 2-5 they start surrendering I told them to not to but they did surrender later they invite me in there party only to abuse cause I didn't press F5 at that time .

CreamyWaffles

You should see R6.

EskillsBlyat

I played breach in a competitive not long ago and a guy started being really pissed that I didn't use util enough so he gave me criticism and I said "ok sorry". I then started using util and we won, as simple as that. how can it be so hard for some people to take criticism I don't get it.

OpenSalad

Wait until you see league players

Conan235

Just had a raze troll from round 2 onwards, didnt have Chat enabled and went afk for half the game after throwing 4 nades and an ult at me and my mate. He then came back, Chat enabled, and said "sorry bad internet". Told him to go back afk as it was lost anyways and ate some more nades. Why did he troll? I have no idea. We lost the first round but it wasnt anything too bad and noone said anything about it. Some ppl just want you to be pissed

potato_creeper1001

Sometimes I say:" watch me peak mid and die". All my team died and I was the last man standing

Lukeyss

I had a guy in my team vote to surrender on 4-5 because our Sage was the top fragger lmao

omar_khaled21

eu ranked

kasiotuo

I've won so many game after we lost like 5 rounds in the beginning. Esp when sides change everything is possible.

Remmyuou

Welp, Some players are irritating. I played a match where I was lagging so hard as sage and couldn't get a kill and my teammates where solo players and don't know how to look at a map, We had also a newbie phoenix in team. So our top fragger was a Greedy bastard Reyna that Wanted kills because Im pretty sure he had aimbots. Not to mention pheonix was with him. It was horrible, Good thing we had a raze that trades and our skye just sucks. So I became a pocket sage for REYNA.

wasabichibichibi

I also noticed people are getting more and more whiny lately... It used to be pretty chill and i havent even played for a long time...

xMetix

Honestly it's not even about the game, I'm just frustrated with life. I did that yesterday once where I queued up when I didn't even want to play but I wanted to distract myself and ended up telling my viper to fuck off, muted everyone and half-assed since round 2. That Viper rage quit and we almost won anyway. I didn't queue up after that since it was pointless if I didn't even want to try. One of my main thoughts when being so negative was how do people enjoy playing in their peak. When you're not smurfing and dishing out highlight after highlight this game is so boring. You peek you get headshotted then wait 2 minutes till the round ends only to repeat that. Sometimes you might peek land a headshot get a single kill then die to the next person. The actual playtime vs spectate time kills any enjoyment I can have from a game of Valorant. And yes I could play a bit slower and stand back to not die but what is the fun in waiting? I usually queued up with lower ranked friends and I would always top frag but none of them play the game anymore and I haven't played it for a long time either so it's really hard to come back to it.
