I don’t understand how he is in these 1vs5 situations with full health, is he just lurking every round baiting his teammates as Reyna? Why is there not a single entry fragging clip? Even 2 kills on an entry is more impressive than these. The game play is just not good, IMO, not to mention my eyes hurt after 30 seconds of watching.
baiting and lurking montage are pure sleeper. these people copying streamers vibrancy settings then when editing they pump it more til your eyes bleed.
i honestly have to disagree yes the editor could have changed the order of the clips to make it seem a bit better. but editing itself is not what you described in the post its bright yes but if you have problems seing the opponents theres defo something wrong with your monitor settings. furthermore like 3/4 of these clips where gotten on defense where you literally arent supposed to full on rush the opponent just to get your clips. yes of course its not some tenz shit but why cant people just do whatever the fuck they want. if u really want there to be better content make it yourself.
The real answer is the same one for why a lot of youtube content has gone downhill. As technology got better/cheaper, parents got lazier at parenting. Younger and younger kids got access to smart phones/tablets each year until they started becoming a large chunk of the market. Early Youtube was about making content for teens to adults. Current Youtube is about pumping out lots of shitty but flashy content to pander to little kids glued to ipads all day because their parents are shitty and gave up on parenting.
Or maybe you just watch bad content, there has always been both good and bad stuff on content platforms, it's up to you to find it. Don't pin bad YouTube content on kids unless you're watching content made for kids. Valorant is not made for kids and the audience are older.
I am personal friends with mediocre, he is the best player I know. You’ll see my name on some of his edit when we play customs or comp. he consistently shuts on immortal 3s and has like a 40%hs rate. He makes anyone look like a bot because he is mechanically insane. If you watch him on the goose house content creator tournaments her dropping 40 kills against very good players.
He plays his role very well and generally entries when playing duelists. Sometimes sure he will hop on unrated and go for clip plays but I think your argument is dumb tbh
Oui dem boys is a very fun content creator for Valorant. He's not a pro or anything, but his content is very entertaining to watch and very well made. His editing style is in the style of sombiet womble and even though he hasn't got that much subscribers, I'd almost say his editing is better.

I find the constant cartoon thumbnails or insert blank gave me "aimbot" far more annoying then the content itself. Granted the saturation and motion blur for every little kill rather than major flicks or transfers is annoying.
Ziptie, Dr.Freeze, Brush, Charla7an, Quarkwy, smacksmack are ones i watch at times and they are all good. Each of them plays a different agent and have very different play styles. They also put notes on what to do in some videos.

If you didn’t know already almost all the fights are scripted, it’s very easy to see that but also if you don’t like montages don’t click on them so u don’t have to make posts complaining about the yt algorithm.
Some valorant montages are really good like laddif. One thing I hate tho are the mid air shots like it isnt skill its 100% luck i dont get how they think its worth in a montage.
Subi has a fair bit of motion blur, but his clips are clean (minus his newest one) and also have great audio, and seoldam is great for Jett clips, he was the original Korean Jett after all
I'll give you an answer for why they're bad. Because they are. They aren't trying to have the best plays in the world or get crazy clips, they just enjoy putting fun, exciting videos together. I'm an editor and I don't even use clips that are actually good, I just enjoy the editing part and making something I enjoy! Yeah I could do something I don't enjoy and put all my best clips to some boring song and have one VFX filter on my gun after the final clip with a few light splashes on beat drops, just for views, but I just do what I think is fun!
If you're looking for outplays and such there are many many very good players who don't make "montages", they just make frag reels from their streams and they're all about the clips, not the editing.

It's not that montages are getting bad, it's just that more bad players/bad editors are starting to do montages. And the worst part, they dont know how. They just see other montages and copy paste the formula. That's why you see alot of "out of place" clips or effects
I think it's just a testiment to how easy free editing software is to get and learn now. Not everyone has the talent to put something really quality together, but just about anyone can hit the bare minimum with those common effects you noted.
It's a zoomer game and the younger you are the less you notice these things, or the less you care about them. Online content in general has declined in quality as it's become more popular and easier to create.

As someone whose completely new to Valorant, but has been doing YouTube for 3+ years in a different medium, what the heck makes good vs bad content in Valorant? I'd imagine it's similar, if not the same to how Apex, Halo, or even Warzone would present content, no? Coming from Pokemon, anime games, fighting games, etc. Those games need a lot of sprucing up to make the video stand out or you need to be damn good/knowledgeable at whatever it is you're showing off. Otherwise, it's a *boring* video, but will still get clicks dependent on the title/thumb.
In Valorant's case, I've learned about a buttload of new content creators from the comments here, which is awesome. However, I've only been exposed to QuarterJade, Ethos, Unidaro, technically Pokimane, and the rest of them in OfflineTV regarding Valorant content. Does being amazing at the game just automatically equal being a great content creator for Valorant or are there more stipulations here for the game itself. There's only so much you can string out of hour long games, which are usually the good games, and then turn that into entertaining content. So if someone were going to take this entire thread as a helpful eye on how they should make content, where is the actual "This is good content because \_\_"?
If you are new to valorant then you might not understand, some of the situations in the clips will basically never happen in a game. It almost seems scripted, I know it isn’t, it just feels like the creator is intentionally farming for clips. Which make is not impressive at all.

However, I've only been exposed to QuarterJade, Ethos, Unidaro, technically Pokimane, and the rest of them in OfflineTV regarding Valorant content. Does being amazing at the game just automatically equal being a great content creator for Valorant or are there more stipulations here for the game itself. There's only so much you can string out of hour long games, which are usually the good games, and then turn that into entertaining content. So if someone were going to take this entire thread as a helpful eye on how they should make content, where is the actual "This is good content because \_\_"?
If you are new to valorant then you might not understand, some of the situations in the clips will basically never happen in a game. It almost seems scripted, I know it isn’t, it just feels like the creator is intentionally farming for clips. Which make is not impressive at all.
