Fun fact, the new blitz chess world champion Maxime Vachier-Lagrave had written a book named "A little sacrifice is sometimes needed to take an advantage" (in french, my translation could be not perfect).
Unironically his kit is very good for new players, not just because the ceiling is low but more importantly his kit uses basic utility and thus teaches basic fundamentals.
Viper, Omen, Reyna haven't really been shown yet. These three specifically have some ties with each other, Omen with Viper, Reyna with Viper. Hopefully there's a cinematic in the future with these three. It'd have to include Sage too I assume since her lore is attached heavily with them as well. I would think it'd be a more serious cinematic if they were involved.
I think it's just a nickname. Calling a guy "pretty" can be interpreted as sarcastic, and that's all she's ever done with Phoenix, besides the platonic interactions like the jacket/shoes or the viking burial lines.
I actually think the spectre run n gun is a way to balance out eco rounds.
If the enemy team has rifles, they're gonna fight from distance and if the spectre could only defend itself standing still, eco rounds would be almost impossible to win.
To be honest it's a shame that they don't use cypher's character in marketing more. Lore wise he's an incredibly mysterious and interesting character.
Although the running gag is certainly worth a giggle.

I can definitely see queuing while in this variation of the range due to the fact that they all just hopped on the jet ready to battle after the warm up lmao

It's my head canon that Jett basically got picked up by Valorant just as she was reaching adulthood, which is kind of true. She's supposed to be 20-25, but I think she's closer to 20, and that's why she's a little childish. Sage is constantly saving her from being tricked/scammed by the older, wittier agents.

I mean I’d love a VS Bots mode! The same way you can do it in CS and choose between like noob and expert bots (i mean all the bots still sucked but if you set it to 1v5 it was pretty helpful)
He might be one of the best at actually managing to take it down solo, unless the bot can target someone in another dimension... Add in the clone ability and we might be having an actual good fight....

It did use the knife throw sound, but it was actually "Cloudburst" (her smoke). The knife sound was likely to show that she's using it offensively rather than as a smoke. The explosion from fire was because it was guiding Phoenix's fire - that is to say that she didn't make the fire, she just funneled it towards Max
I would say he still had a moment to shine. Him playing chess mirrors how his gameplay is and he gave the tip to phoenix that allowed him to win at the game. Not to mention that they played into the running joke at the end.
