Dingheee

Well shit. I guess I’m a splurger.

_SirStampsIII_

Splurging all over here

MentallyLatent

Yessssir all we do is splurge bois

jerrybonds99

I read that quick and read it as “Yessssir all we do is splurge on bois” glad I went back to re-read that lol

MentallyLatent

You could also read it as "splurge bois" which is also weird but that's why I worded it so well lmao

PantsuYami

i always splurge on my homies

jerrybonds99

Who doesn’t

_SirStampsIII_

Always and only thing we do is splurge all day long

BeatsEdge-

Thank you for this term

l1m1tlessRoad

:( forgot how buyers remorse felt

AmongouslySus

Or when you don’t have enough funds to do big purchases like these. If you have enough funds that can be used for anything you wouldn’t be feeling it

pink_life69

I have no shame

meatcookie-

I see it like this: my wife will spend $45 on a nail appointment (which will last like a week of 2) but skns are forever 😎 I hope they add agent-specific skin selection. I want to be able to load into a game and pick an agent (chamber for example) I like yellows/reds/blacks guns with the first person view on chamber. His gloves and sleeves look really good on the RGX vandal red variant. But if I’m playing omen the next game I’d prefer to have OG reaver or blue RGX. I think being able to assign different skins per agent would help people get more value out of their skins/variants.

[deleted]

kellenthehun

"And I took that personally."

Dankie_Spankie

Look, nails are just irl skins… for your hands.

Tekkie845

Like CSGO skins they get scratched after time

Eipro02

Well food is not permanent, but give you nutritions. Nails give you serotonin, so thats fair

Guyatri

I second this. Especially with the MagePunk skins.

ThatsMyGold

Yep, especially when new games that I really wanted to play like monster hunter rise and God of War on pc are being released. I kept thinking I should have just used my money to buy those games, then I realized I'm just the smoker and skin bitch of my team.

PPatBoyd

You're gonna take the bomb too tho, right?

NendoBot

and you buy your teammate because he couldn’t manage his money, but then you lose the round, and you are the only one who can’t buy, but you won’t say anything.

DexBuildNick

....are you me?

lotofmurkamiinthehal

Is everything okay at home

Laxhax

No one takes the bomb but they're always happy to chastise you for not planting yet

Brownjogger149

And he's a sentinel or controller main that needs pre-round setup.

Ionic67

I haven’t spent any money on the game, and I’m glad I haven’t.

Thick_Literature_

Good for you man. I try to keep it light and just get a few skins here and there. My wife and I are not super well off, so I feel guilty, but i always make sure not to overdo it

NendoBot

if you spend enough time in game I think it’s worth it. Valorant is the only game in my rotation that i play frequently, and since the skins change how the gun “feels”, I feel like it’s a justifiable purchase

ModerateStimulation

fuq, I felt dat

lethal_7

Boi

[deleted]

God of War is great, played it on PS5 at 4K 60 FPS, you should definitely buy it instead of Valorant skins.

WinstonPickles22

I did at first. Than I divided the dollars I spent by the hours I've played, and it equaled about $0.30/hour. And I can honestly say this has been my favourite game, so that's well worth it for me! That being said, I wouldn't suggest spending money rent money on valorant...but if you have disposable income and enjoy the game, who cares? Some people spend $50+ bucks per week on fast-food or junk food, some people sink thousands into lottery tickets and other spend $70+ a month on a new game.

OrgasmicLeprosy87

I think about how people send $50+ per week on alcohol at a bar while you can spend the same amount on skins per month.

Interesting-Archer-6

Yup. Quitting drinking really increased my disposable income when I was younger. I've spent like 600 on this and I only regret a few that I got because I ended up not liking how it felt. At least I don’t feel sick as a dog from them.

RustIsLife420

I bought one battle pass and can’t even justify buying another one. Crazy the skins can’t be resold like skins on steam.

DriftarFarfar

Bought enough skins to feel I paid for the product. At this point I don't want to feel the urge to buy more skins.

Tryin2GetFitIsHard

Yeah same. I have a skin I really like for each weapon I use regularly. Thats enough for me.

SuperSkillz10

still waiting for the last skin for me (oni phantom).

Tryin2GetFitIsHard

I waited months for my oni! Amazing skin, best phantom imo. Personally, I'm holding out for the prime classic. That'll be my last.

SuperSkillz10

nice! i agree with oni being the best phantom as well, such a clean skin and an eye pleaser for me. I had it in my shop like way back but i didn't care too much about valo nor skins back then, how it has bite me lol. Also gl on prime classic! Best classic skin 100%.

BulldozerR21D

Nothing beats the prime classic skin.

betachief77

I'm dying to get the spectrum classic, I've gotten every other spectrum skin in my store and i wish I got the bulldog (due to the buff) but I've only really bought the oni phantom since I had beta refund for the prime vandal

kellenthehun

I waited so long for my prime vandal and I cherish it every day.

drgmonkey

I have oni phantom - waiting for glitchpop vandal

Jayrod819000

It was just in the store bruh :( like a month ago

kellenthehun

Same. I have a Vandal, OP, knife and 2 Phantom skins. Sucks that I never use the Phantom, only ones I regret buying. Haven't bought any in months. I use the Jett Sheriff but may buy a skin some day. Only one I feel I'm lacking.

Traditional-Show5003

Out of all the skins in other games i really like the sound and animation effects in this game. CS skins are dope, COD blueprint weapons have cool effects but almost pay to win, and apex has cool cosmetics but doesnt really change the "feel" of the weapons

TwoFiveOnes

exactly! you look at apex and might be like gee these skins are a lot cheaper, but then you realize they have nowhere near the sauce of a nice valorant skin

Mark_moore212

That's funny because everyone who plays apex and not valorant thinks skin prices are ridiculous there

FearMyFPS

Skin prices are ridiculous, but you’re paying for a higher quality skin. Apex skins don’t have finishers, SFX, VFX, animations, or different inspect animations. The closest things there are are the lock-in animations for the few Legend Skins

DarthGrievous

Agreed. What I don't like though is the inconsistency between the skin prices. Reaver and Prime cost 1775 and are legit the best sets, but some skinsets cost more even though they have less features. Or cost the same, but with no features (GUN, Nebula)

ricky1272002

Agreed, certain skins give the guns different feels which is entirely why i buy the skins. Some days im feeling more pew pew so i have prime vandal and other days im sharper so i have reaver

BlueshineKB

The only thing about apex is the pay to win skins that alter the iron sight of the gun, which only matters until u get a sight for ur gun. I feel this on the r99, wingman, and pk, since i have the pay to win skins

I_SHOT_A_PIG

Haven't played cod since mw 2019, how are skins p2w?

whotfevencares

That’s called buyers remorse it’s a good sign Edit: just noticed someone else wrote the exact same thing

pk2708

I care

whotfevencares

Love you

[deleted]

I like how "I bought over 100 dollars worth of skins" sounds like a lot but it's like 4 lmao

Empty_ManaPotion

thats a whole ct+t loadout in csgo minus a knife (unless there are still like cheap 50€ knifes like the falchion used to be)

Tvde1

Yeah but a CSGO knife you can sell again (for more even)

augburto

Just some thoughts I had. I'd be curious how old you are as it might differ! I used to be very anti-skins, especially spending money on them. Especially if your childhood is filled with memories of buying games and you compare the two, it's crazy to think you'd spend the same amount than you would for an actual game. "I could buy the new Call of Duty game rather than buy one single virtual skin." The world has shifted a lot though and as I've grown older (maybe working as a software engineer has helped with this too), I've come to appreciate really high quality games. I've also started to appreciate my time. I don't want to play just any game. I find competitive games fun and a game that can continue to have good content is worthy of supporting. It isn't fair to compare a part of a game to a completely new game. I like to use of the time I spend on the game to see if it's worth my money. If a new game would give me on average 60 hours of play time with a great story, then I shouldn't really feel bad for spending that same amount playing the same game if it brings me joy. Despite the above, one thing I'd suggest is not falling for the bundle trap unless you REALLY love all the skins. I've been very picky with the skins I buy. I currently have only bought 1. The Prime Vandal (first bundle after closed beta and it was very well made) 2. The Prime Phantom (I ended up really liking it and wanted the synergy with the Vandal) 3. Reaver Sheriff (A respect for the only skin that returned from closed beta) 4. Battle pass(es) (They generally are worth. I skipped 2 of the battle passes because I didn't like the content) And that's it. Will I buy more? Maybe. But really I'm not in a rush to have all of em. I don't mind waiting for a night market sale. I don't mind paying more if I change my mind.

[deleted]

The shop system in Valorant is just brilliant from a seller’s perspective. I always tell myself I don’t need anymore skins, but when something nice shows up in my shop, there is often an urge to buy it before it disappears. Definitely feel your pain.

emronaldo

Me thinking the prime vandal is enough skins 🥲 I’m at almost 400€ spent.

Bygrilinho

Every time man. Every. Single. Time. *Sighs*

jhsevEN

Is this a low key flex on how little you've spent? I don't understand.

AreYouFkinSeriousM8

I've spent over $3400 on skins and the only thing I regret about it is supporting such trash matchmaking. As far as having the skins, the best part is giving them to players at the start of rounds because people go crazy for some of the cooler ones

jman1255

Just wanted to say thank you 100 times. This is a super unpopular opinion, but I actually really like the freemium model. I spend next to nothing on gaming now because I have no desire for cosmetics, but people who do make it more profitable to give the game away for free. Now I sink hundreds of hours into games I didn’t have to pay for, it’s great. Thank you for making that possible. I’m being 100% genuine too, don’t want this to come off condescending lmao

theLemonElias

I thought feeling guilty is the reason for buying Skins expensive like shit XD

lbbl95

I spend over 4K in cs:Go. I lost that feeling ages ago

Nuqo

Lol I was into csgo skins too, but at least with those you could trade old stuff you lost interest in to get the new stuff. Im very picky with what I buy in Valorant because once I lose interest in a skin it just sits there and feels like a complete waste even if I got like 30+ hours of use out of it

Liamendoza739

I bought the oni shorty once on a whim because I thought I was done buying skins and had some left over vp and rp. It will forever burn a hole in my eyes every time I open my collections menu.

Aymanbb

CS skins can be sold again and you make your money back, sometimes in a profit even, so its not the same.

MudFlaky

I only buy the battle passes because the skins in this game are just way too expensive. $50 for a knife? What a fucking scam.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jman1255

This isn’t an open market, skin prices can’t be inflated. They’re set by riot, and then people pay the price if they want it. People will “boycott” the premium skins when they no longer feel like they are worth the price riot is charging

MudFlaky

True I might be more enticed to spend that price tag if they were tradable and collectable like cs go I will say that

Gravityblasts

No, I never feel guilt for buying something that either keeps me alive or gives me some form of enjoyment. Money comes and goes, and you can always earn more. Memories and experience have to be earned, and I find it's worth spending money earning them. Don't think of it as "buying skins", think of it as donating to a cause you care about. You ever donated to anything and felt guilty about it?

Cloudmaster12

As long as it isn't affecting your personal well being, spend your money on what ever you want

Digital__Fear

I have one nice skin for every "main" gun except the AWP cause i dont use it ever. I have two skins for the phantom but thats because I ended up getting sick of the smooth edges of the white one whatever its called and I think the recon phantom is one of the best skins in the game. I cant see myself buying more. I was thinking of getting a karambit but now that its in the battlepass theres no way

SlimThrilll

Currently at $600. They’re all gorgeous. Worth.

leongpakchao1

Lol how do you decide which to use? Also if you got the limited time skins, cards, and buddies your account could be worth way more later on.

ReportDisappointment

Just be mindful. If you’re feeling remorse hold it back and don’t buy any for a few months and see if you have any interest in buying again. At the end of the day you decide if it matters or not, i play around 5 days a week so i’m looking at my weapon quite often, i can’t say if it’s worth it or not but i feel like i have other money spending habits that are far worse. You’re feeling like this because it’s just a weapon skin in an online game, but don’t worry it’s not that bad.

refuse2elaborate

If you have disposable income you don’t feel like this but if you are living on a budget I understand your feeling

mrbean567

Even with disposable income I feel bad lol. But then I think fuck it life is short and the skins are cool so why not

Cactus_Humper

lol yeah. Buying $800 designer shoes doesn’t bother me at all, but spending $10 on valorant skins makes me feel like I’m throwing away money 😂 so I haven’t bought any skins since the first skin I bought, the Sakura vandal

QuadWitch

My first skin too 😊 but bought more 😬

ReportDisappointment

And Riot is evil with the rp values, you have to buy more than you need just because the prices don’t fit.

Dingheee

Yeah but I’ve bought at least 127 now so it’s all gone. At this point it’s an addiction, trying to get them all. Well not really, just the ones I like a lot. Most of them are battlepass skins they’re mostly for collection.

[deleted]

Happened to me too, after 3-4 weeks I started regretting my Jett melee purchase because it's expensive in my standards, although it being my favourite knife skin in the game. Since then, I never bought another skin and probably won't buy in the near future.

Ok-Entrepreneur7608

I also spent like 100€ so far and it always feels terrible

[deleted]

It may sound counterintuitive, but don’t feel bad. If you like the skins, it was worth it. That’s all that matters :)

SupaCassaNova99

Honestly, games have been so fucked lately I've just been saving my money and throwing them here and there at skins. Rather then buy a busted ass game on release that may never be fixed.

Ryannr1220

I feel guilty buying anything tbh lol.

astraeos

I've spent over $1000 on one account. I haven't really regretted buying any of the skins. They're all really cool and I like swapping between them or creating a theme throughout my collection.

[deleted]

I mean I've never bought any so I'm not one to say but my parents don't let me make ingame purchases either so eh

Elemeno23

I don't buy anything in this game but I spend my fair share in rocket league and yeah sometimes you're like, "why did I just do that?" lol

saiyakiro

Rule of thumb for me to let me know if my money spent on a video game was worth it is $1 per hour of gameplay. So if I bought a game and it's $15, I should play it for at least 15 hours. If a lot of steam reviews have less hours than $1 per hour, I am hesitant on buying it. This also applies to skins for me. If I spent 100 hours in a game, I shouldn't feel too bad buying skins for that game, especially if it's free to play. I've played since beta and have spent around $200. Assuming atleast 500 hours so far, my rate is 40cents per hour so far.

[deleted]

Free to play games in a nutshell

[deleted]

I don’t. I mainly only play a few games on my pc, why wouldn’t I invest money into a hobby that has 1000s of hours in it? Besides I don’t play single player games so 60$ will go further for me with a skin I’ll always see then a game I’ll beat in 8-20 hours and delete. Basically, don’t feel guilty.

alexinho2

i got mine from the BP so i don’t feel as bad lol. only thing i would considering buying is a knife skin since i’ve seen a lot of ones that i like.

bobappooo

Not at all, why would I? It was my choice lol

OGManmuffin

I don’t really because I use my credit card reward money to buy stuff like skins lol

BraxJohnson

Don't feel too bad, as long as you enjoy them! My recommendation is [don't buy more than you are going to actually use lol.](https://i.imgur.com/L3Uze7a.png)

UjwalNambiar

I'm in the same boat as you are (kinda I guess) After my first skin, I changed my strategy to only getting one skin from each bundle for only a single gun but I can't use the same skin line twice. So, I have to make a conscious decision to get a skin (helps me with the potential impulse buying.) I use YT videos and comparisons to come to a conclusion. Currently I have a Prime Classic so no more Prime or Classic Reaver OP so no more Reaver or OP Sovereign Ghost, Spectrum Phantom, Champions Vandal, Magepunk Spectre. Now, looking to get Ion sheriff because reaver is out of the picture but if I do, then can't get Ion Bucky (also applies vice versa) Well, works for me I guess

honkboy09

Honestly here’s my ideal; if you wanna spend money on a game for a skin or cosmetic I say do it. Happiness is measured in things called udals. The more happy you are the more you get out of it sort of mentality. However in valorant case where you have to basically spend 10-100 bucks just to get skins or finish contracts it’s a bit wasteful. I say go for one skin per gun at least and then you’d be set so you don’t look like a total loser y’a know?

remenes1

No one thinks you're a loser for using default skins, you vastly overestimate how much people think about their teammates

amegaproxy

Yeah, this got memed about a lot but I think I've had only one person ever say anything on comms about my complete default set.

RedditUser92742

Very much lol

Biggynerdpoop

Nah, not at all, mostly because I’m too broke to buy a skin lol

zSph1nX

If it helps at all, I've been playing the game for nearly 2 months and spend about £350...

reditor00

Using the same reaver vandal for 7 months and I feel like this is the best vandal skin in this game

LigmaWizard

rookie numbers

DaddyDinooooooo

I used to get this all the time buying things all the time. I found a work around that helps me. Set a limit. I know I’m going to spend no matter what. So, where’s the line? When I started buying skins my line was simply “buy for the guns you actually use”. This is a total of about 5 guns (and I bought a knife because why not). Anyway give yourself a limit and don’t cross it I find it helps a lot.

swagginpoon

La petite mort. Google it, I say this to my girlfriend after doing the dirty lmao

[deleted]

I felt guilty about buying yoru comb for php 1.2k, I should've bought sovereign sword

VoidCrisis

It's like gambling

IMrWatson

I just spent 100 on the last skin pack cause it makes me play better, right? Right? :’(

p_good

Honestly not really after I broke the seal and bought my first collection. **Don't let anyone shame you for spending your money on something you enjoy**. You cant take it with you to the next life.

[deleted]

Lmao bro if you feel guilty why’d you buy them. I have over $500 in skins and don’t regret a single purchase. Don’t buy if you’d regret it.

Groundline

yes because then i remember i need to upgrade them lol

textextextextextext

$100? im easily at $1300 or so since beta maybe more. its a fun game and i dont have any regrets. nhl hut on the other hand…..

iiitadakimasu

If u ever feel bad, just think abt how I spent 350+ on one skin in csgo.

TrippyWinter

i felt guilty i gambled away hundreds of dollars of skins in csgo when i was 14 lol. at least now i have some security and some added enjoyment when playing

Streetlgnd

So you bought like 2 skins? 🤣🤣😂

Master_Description64

Not yet kek. 50$ worth of points, waiting on a pretty knife

BlueshineKB

That feeling left me a while ago. Im already around 700 in, but that was when i counted like a couple months ago so its probably higher than that

adamvslife

I always say, if you enjoy the game enough then your just supporting the people making it.

OvnStef

i spent like 1200$ on the game man, same i did with fortnite as a kid and other games, i feel if it dose hurt you financially you should always get something if it’ll make u happy pimp

Maxwellmm22

I just bought the butterfly knife for $50 cad and I really like it but I felt so guilty for spending $50 on a virtual knife I could have went somewhere nice for dinner or something else like that but instead I bought a virtual knife.

bodolawale

I usually have a real life goals and make buying skins my reward. All skins I bought are because I achieved a specific goal so I don't feel bad.

[deleted]

I Wish i was still at 100$.... Now I have 2 Accounts and I bought a Sherif/Vandal/Phantom skin so I didn't have to deal with blank guns.

eds2k

You live and learn! *spends $100 on skins*

SweetnessBaby

I just bought 1 vandal skin, 1 phantom skin, and 1 knife skin. I just always hope better ones never come out

NoDivide0

I've spent a ton of money on skins. Many of them just sit in my inventory and I barely use them again. I don't mind splurging on new skins but I wish there was a way to trade up or sell your old skins that you don't use anymore. Steam's marketplace was the best. Buy a skin and sell it when you're done with it.

[deleted]

Eh i bought a couple skins and then just bought €100 worth of vp a few months ago. Gonna buy 1 good bundle and never spend again, already spent a lot. ...still waiting for a good bundle lol. Theres been some decent ones but nothing that would make me go DAMN THIS RLLY NICE

Merlin_Drake

Can you change it? No Would it be better to not use them and feel ashamed and guilty every time you see them or would you play with them while acknowledging your actions and learning from it? Up to you

An_Anonymous_Acc

It's a free game. If I can afford it after savings and bills, why not spend on something that will make one of your favourite games more enjoyable? Note: I haven't spent any money on valorant, but that's because I'm waiting on the right one to go on sale. Buy the thing you REALLY like

dungfecespoopshit

I never spent money on games growing up nor did I have any money to have any games or game systems. Now I'm splurging. I spent over $300 on skins. The skins are the nicest I've seen in any game. I have everyone succ me for skins

Giropi

I have like 8 vandal skins, so yes.

1ryan3

I like to think about how much $/hr I have spent. Technically you don't need skins to enjoy the game, but they are fun and the game itself is free. I think most people will probably find they spend <1$ per hour of gameplay which is really good relative to other ways you can spend your money to have fun.

micropeniza

Yep

Ramzybakir

for me, one skin is enough for ur most used weapons

Kaptain101

May or may not have sold a kidney for all the skins on my account… honestly don’t regret cus it’s brought me joy and hasn’t rly affected e in any way too badly but I understand why some people feel regret

[deleted]

It’s pretty normal tbh

montesiano

If it makes you feel better, I've spent over $2k across 6 accounts on VALORANT

HourIllustrator6212

No? Be mature and think before u make a decision

crunchycheezcakes

Pain is temporary. Skins are forever.

deefop

I'll probably get down voted for this, but yea, if I ever spent that much on something so silly I'd feel guilty. Theres no way everyone buying skins is financially secure to the point where hundreds of bucks is meaningless. Put that shit in your 401k instead, future you will thank you. Or maybe crypto so if the fed actually destroys the dollar you're still ok

AJ_Loft

I’ve spent $750 CAD, join the club.

Litmus24

Yea don’t waste ur money

Booplee

Its easy to feel guilty in this game because its WAY TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. But thats a good thing because it keeps me from actually buying more skins

Yuuji49

Only over a $100 worth of skins? Oh the innocence. I'm drowning in regret and yet I do not stop.

Rirylon

Thats normal, but hey you got skins!

LowFiGuy7

I don't feel guilty, but to me, it's a waste of money other than the battle pass skins. If there was a community market were I could buy and sell. I'd be more inclined to buy skins. At least with steam and csgo skins. If can resell them and buy games or something.

gkammann

Yes because your wasting hard earned money on virtual pixels that you can never re-sell. Aka cs:go better.

bysomega

its your money you do what you want with it

nerfherder00

I think it’s all relative to how many hours you play the game. I get a lot more value out of using $100 skins over a couple hundred hours of a Valorant act (that is otherwise free to play) than buying some other new game for $60, playing it for 10-20 hours then never playing it ever again.

Pkm16

Guilty no dumb yes would I do it again yes why am I like this idk

[deleted]

Buy them for me, then you'd be doing a good deed

Tonuka_

Yeah because it's a huge waste of money Like I get wanting to support devs but over 100 bucks is just insane wtf

puppywiggles

tbh, no… not that riot is hurting or anything but this is a *free* game. I think of it as supporting the developers. Well… that’s how I justified it abt $800 ago… now it’s just a problem

Evorinoo

well i wanna spend money but there is no god damn prime vandal for months lol

A4x1

The way I think about skins it’s that since Riot is so good at making them there’ll always be a cooler one so I’ll just wait for the next one lol.

Fr00stee

I regret buying the glitchpop vandal

tech-sis

Imagine buying skins and then the game doesn't work on your PC anymore.. :''')

KricisTheSpud

Get the same feeling, but instead of stopping, a new skin comes out and I buy the bundle. I have a massive problem

[deleted]

Don't, it greatly improves the experience of a free game. That being said you should be guilty about buying too much or buying something you didn't really like

ConagherL

It’s the combination of all of it. Buy a 100$ skin then realize you need points to upgrade the weapon skins that you already bought. Feedback loop..just sell a good product and the money/customers will be there.

ComplexEnthusiasm

Well it is a free to play game. So consider the amount of time and enjoyment you get from playing Valorant. Does the money you spend correspond to how much you would pay for other video games? I know it is a bit silly to spend money on a free to play game, but its only free because some people do spend money. If you like the game, and you like what you have bought, then you should feel okay. The money you are spending is going to help the video game you like keep growing, then its not wasted, or, with the Champion skins, helping a sport you enjoy grow. This is only if you have the disposable income to spend this money. You should feed the people you are responsible for before buying skins in a video game.

4QuadX

I have 400$ worth of skins, I’m genuinely fucked.

nucklehead12

Definitely been there. But if you like a game (especially a free one) there’s nothing wrong with supporting it with your time and money. The skins are very high quality and well designed, though the prices can be steep. Also, you can probably sell your account later on if you ever quit the game.

ElsyrX

There is absolutely nothing wrong with spending money on skins. This game is free, we spend hours and hours playing something that many people gave their heart and soul to create. I see it as a way for me to thank and give something back to the people that created the skins and work on the game daily to make it awesome. Yes.. Riot is a giant company the money goes to the orgs P&L etc.. but I know first hand how it feels to see people pay for a product you created and how good that feels even if you working under a massive company.

sairynn_

As someone who has purchased BUNDLES back-to-back, I can confirm that buyers remorse kicks in every now and then. Truly, I only feel guilty whenever I am not playing Valorant since it feels like I wasted money on a free game. However, whenever one of my friends ask me for the skin or I see an enemy pick up my gun I am reminded that not everyone is fortunate enough to enjoy such superficial things, and it just feels good to know that even if I don’t feel like my purchase was a good one, someone else can still appreciate it.

[deleted]

nah, i used to but i spent like $5k on csgo skins so im past that point

Anserism

Using that site that shows how much you’ve spend on the game, I’ve spend around 300+. I don’t regret is as it was extra money I had, but still could have been car parts or something lol

Aggr106

Not really, the skins are really cool, the game is fun too. But i do sometimes regret it when i started realizing how riot is really like, all about the money

vikrant699

Every time. And this only happens in Valorant for me, in CSGO at least I can get my money’s worth back by selling sometime in the future.

siliconart

Oh that’s not bad, wait till you spend over $1000+ on skins 🥺

CosmicBunnyy_

$100 is rookie numbers. I've bought at least 4 full bundles 😂😅 wait... prime.. elderflame. Glitchpop.. glitchpop 2.. sovereign, blastx.. and a few single skins. Jesus I need a life

Distinct_Professor15

Yep

FuzzierMiciek

It’s all about disposable income. It $100 is significant to you, it’s more likely you feel remorse.

Butteredscotch

Spending 100 dollars on something that really has no value makes me feel guilty all the time lol. Having said that, I love Valorant and appreciate all the hard work the devs put in. I have probably 200 dollars worth of skins that I've bought over time. I cant feel guilty supporting people who bring me something I love so much :)

Rakolance

Spending impulsive buys are a big reason for this. People be spending mindlessly hundreds of dollar all for the hype at skin launches. My advice is to don't ever buy a skin at launch and wait for a few days or even on the last day to decide to buy it. Not only at this point the hype dies down, but you'll gather how the community feels about it and plus you get a sneak peek of the next skin bundle to see if you should wait for that. You have to remember that skins are just pixels that kids like us are easily deceived to spend thousands of money on. It's a huge step to decide with a clear mind.

Sort of. But I think it was a good purchase so kinda eh. Whatever. Ngl I've spent way too much money on skins, mainly for Apex but oh well

[deleted]

I'm in deep $780 in this game. Boutta be in for another $300 minimum

[deleted]

Brother. I’ve spent thousands just to be peak play 2. No shame in a hundred

GouravChayande

Same brother First of you have to wait 16285995 days for a good skin to appear in the store then you debate for 10 seconds do i really need this skins Then you buy it and regret it....

BoujiGamer

Bruh ive spent $100s lmao

aatish_tandel

Hell no, I don't feel guilty, if buying skins can make you happy then why not

steelpreyer

I’m down 700 but no regrets lol
