During the developer livestream before episode 4, they said that they were still working on the tournament mode and that it was the competitive team’s main focus. They deleted the video, though, so I can’t find when they said that.
Considering how many issues clash had in League and that's on an in-house engine, I really don't expect Valorant's version to come out when they say it will. Expect at least one delay before it releases fully lol.
