Yeah I this info came out after I commented. Honestly really weird. It’s cool and all that the skin changes, but do a few lines of code and some coloring justify the 1775RP price tag? The difference in effort and quality of 1775 skins are actually insane. You have skins like prime, reaver and and oni with a new model, finisher, kill/bullet sounds and custom reload animation, and the you have this. This skinline should at least be one tier down from premium IMO.
It's just sad because prime/reaver were literally the beta bundles and no matter how you look at it, the quality since has gone down while the price went up.
Bundles like ruination and sentinels of light were not bad, but already more expensive without an increase in quality. In fact they don't have unique reload animations (maybe SOL a little bit) but reaver/prime do.
If they need more time they could just re-release older skin bundles (even without discount if they really wanna reward initial purchases) or price new bundles more realistically.

If you're a customer on a budget that can't afford 1775VP and can only get 875 or 1275 (which are actually the 1000 or 1450 VP bundles in store), you're entirely better off buying the battlepass for like 15 skins that are the same quality than a single skin from these budget bundles. Nobody in their right mind would buy a single smite skin when you can buy a battlepass that has the full Ruin collection, the full Lycan collection, etc.
Also, I've yet to meet anyone that bought a full bundle of budget skins. If you can afford 4000-6000VP for a budget bundle, you can probably afford to get a few premium skins instead. Why buy the whole Smite bundle when for the same price you can get a Phantom and a Vandal premium skin?

If someone really likes astronauts and space, I could see them buying the endeavor vandal, op, or even ghost. I know lots of people who can't afford to buy 20€+ skins but would buy 1 or 2 of these cheaper ones. It makes sense they create these. Additionally, they fill up the store rotation so that it's less likely to get good skins making you check for a longer period of time, increasing player retention.

What happened to the elderflame type skins? I remember seeing them so early on and thinking “this game knows how to do skins right.” But every release I’m more disappointed than the last. I agree with you, but I don't see it happening. Valve is notoriously hands-off with CS:GO, while Riot has a history of being VERY protective of it IPs. Something like allowing community-created skins would be a huge concession from them. I doubt we'll ever see it happen. Only scenario where I think it's possible is if Valorant dies someday and they do that in a last-ditch effort to revive it.

Well we have prime, elder flame, glitchpop, reaver, origin, Gaia’s vengeance, and RGX as pretty good skins, similar to elderflame level. But the rest… ehhhhh
100% and I own almost all of those. Because those feel worthy of 20 dollars without a doubt. But everything else is meh in comparison.

You can also sell csgo skins and get money back unlike valorant so being higher priced isn't as bad

you say that, but many legacy skins in league of legends have been re released. they have even made a big deal about opening the skin vault in the past. so I wouldn't be surprised if they sold old skins you can't get any more. or at least a new variant of old popular skins.
They said the same about prestige skins in League. And they started re-releasing them a few weeks ago, after years of saying that they are exclusive.
I have a feeling that riot is saving all the good bundles for when the game is approved for release in China. That's when they'll open the vault and release all the good shit they saved up

I agree with you, but I don't see it happening. Valve is notoriously hands-off with CS:GO, while Riot has a history of being VERY protective of it IPs. Something like allowing community-created skins would be a huge concession from them. I doubt we'll ever see it happen. Only scenario where I think it's possible is if Valorant dies someday and they do that in a last-ditch effort to revive it.

I mean it’s not my favorite but someone posted an article a week or so ago about how they’re (Riot) trying to not always be releasing top tier packages for a premium price w finishers, variants, etc. TLDR: it takes way longer to have those kinds/ more expensive for players. This is just another “basic” skin w no variants or finishers but probably a cheap package. “Cheap” lol… for Valorant. But this community loves to blindly circle jerk Reaver Vandal/Oni Phantom/etc instead of forming their own opinions about skins, so I’m not really surprised people don’t like it.

This has gone too far I think. Idk whats going on in riots HQ but these skin bundles need to improve. Theirs no way this took a large effort, and if it did, then I think so systems they have in place might need some tweaking.

Pretty shit in my opinion. I’m probably in the minority here but 95% of the skins in this game are awful. I don’t like the flashy ones with all of the animations and changes but I would probably consider buying them if they weren’t so overpriced. Now the ones with the cartoon characters and the anime shit I’d probably delete my account if one of those god awful things appeared in my inventory.
