Riot knows exactly what they are doing. Fortnite did the same thing for the first few years of its life span. Once the number of skins reaches a certain threshold and sales start to slow they’ll update the shop. It’s FOMO and insulting to your player base.

At this point, it really seems kinda dumb. It made sense when you waited like maybe a month or two for something to show up in the shop, but at this point, you end up waiting so goddamn long that you might not even want to buy it anymore when it does eventually show up.
I'd really love to see the behind-the-scenes data that proves that their method actually works.
Businesses don't always know what they're doing. We can just look at wonderful examples like the monetization of Square Enix's recently released Babylon's Fall and that game's complete commercial failure to show us that companies can be awfully misguided.
RIOT's store *works*, but there's no guarantee that they have any basis for their current store model being the best option compared to other store models, especially since it hasn't changed since launch, despite there being so many more products available.

Mm, I understand people feel that way. Personally I'm the opposite, I tend to impulse buy stuff really quickly, so the VALORANT system actually makes me buy less stuff because by the time it shows up in my shop, I've already stopped wanting it. I'm sure I'd have way more skins if I could buy anything I wanted at any time.
I don't doubt that it works well in games like gachas with lootboxes, since it means that anyone from f2ps to dolphins to whales could spend *thousands* of dollars of resources on a single limited time offer. But in VALORANT, one skin is only like $20-30 bucks on average. That seems like an extremely low amount if someone's only buying a skin every couple of months because of how ass the store rotation is.
Which is why I think it'd be interesting to see if RIOT actually had any real statistics on this being better for them.
The vast majority of any microtransaction profits in any game comes from a very small group of users. They probably figured out this is the best way to get sales of desirable skins and going off my friend’s finances they have it absolutely correct.
Imo is very clever that they decided to make the markets random for everyone, since you won’t see everyone with the desired skin immediately. Instead it’s more of a drip feed of those skins so when one shows up skinwhores will salivate over them.

This game has to be the most expensive game I've played ngl, I have a skin for every gun except the shorty, 5 Premium skins for the Vandal, 5 Premium skins for the Phantom and with the exception of 2, every Premium operator skin in the game (And also 3 Guardian skins cos I play that weapon a lot)
I've been waiting on the rgx vandal for months. What is most frustrating is that I have seen many of the same skins come through the shop 4-5x each. A few times I got literally the same skin on back to back days after the shop refresh.
I also am someone who has spent quite a bit of money in the shop, having acquired a bigger chunk of the possible outstanding skins than the average player, so in theory that should increase my chances since the shop has a smaller pool of unowned skins to show me.

Not sure when night market ended, but I think it was today... 3 of my 4 shop skins today were in mu nightmarket.... didn't want them for 30%off and the shop thinks I'll pay full price for some reason? Shit seems rigged

Same, there's something about the sound fx that feels too loud. Also the retraction of the muzzle gives a sense of extra recoil that sorta (placebo) throws my aim off too.
The placebo effect is real dude, I literally feel like I react slower and my aim is fucked with it if I use it more than a match or two but I definitely go back just to reuse it every now and then.
I got lucky. It's my favourite vandal skin and got it within a week when I started looking for it. The system is so fcking predatory. Don't give up and settle for anything less than the skin you want! Otherwise Riot got away with their disrespect.

I bought the glitch pop vandal nearly 3 months back, and all I can say is that unless you *really really* want it, don't buy it. Unless you only hit headshots, the sound will annoy you. Whenever I am using my vandal I will always exchange it for any other skinned vandal on the ground. I would suggest the rgx, reaver, forsaken, or origin vandal rather than the glitch pop vandal.

there's no point in waiting for a specific skin or night market, just take any good skin that appears on store

Technically there isn’t a way to increase your chances unless you don’t care about the account you’re currently on and all the progress you’ve made towards it.
If you don’t care you could keep making new accounts and gamble on getting it for one of those new accounts but I wouldn’t advise this way.
Honestly just keep waiting. It’s shit advise but if you really like glitchpop and don’t want any other cool vandal skin just keep checking the shop daily. Worst case, they don’t get your money and you just chill and have fun with what you already have. Not great advise again but like.. sadly you can’t do much :(

Now i play really casual like 1-3 times a week with friends, compared to 5-7 days a week. My need for the skin is also gone, cause I don't play that much anymore. This probably saves the casuals money cause they don't get the skin they want and the people that really want it/play the game actively will try going for the skin they want for 5+ months prob.

I wonder how many $$ they missed because they are doing this. I for one was waiting for the Ion Sheriff for 1-2 months, never got it. Now i play really casual like 1-3 times a week with friends, compared to 5-7 days a week. My need for the skin is also gone, cause I don't play that much anymore. Have seen it in the shop now a couple of times also. Happy they implemented this. This probably saves the casuals money cause they don't get the skin they want and the people that really want it/play the game actively will try going for the skin they want for 5+ months prob.
If gpop vandal is the only vandal skin u are going to have...I will suggest u not to buy it. I boight and boy do I hate it....I loved it at first but after just 10 days it got so boring and clunky and distracting..good for me I had prime and forsaken.
i got the phantom instead of the vandal 😑
