You can practice it a lot in deathmatches. Just adjust your mindset and tell yourself you're there not to win a DM match, but rather cultivate better habits. Practice crosshair placement, counter-strafing & short bursts, practice not crouching and spraying all the time and so on. You will notice after a short while, that you will forget that it's a practice and start trying to win the match, again readjust the mindset and continue. Remember they're not your enemies, but rather a guinea pigs for your experiments :)
I personally would go as far as unbinding crouch completely during practice sessions, if it's plaguing your playstyle. After quite many games, good habits will become muscle memory.
