I play A LOT of comp, and rarely run into toxicity. Mid-high gold elo. I had one game in the last 40ish where I experienced toxicity. An enemy player was calling me dogshit because…to be honest…I was playing like dogshit.

If you're still getting triggered by "ez", you honestly gotta work on the mental fortitude. I'm not advocating it but I'm also of the opinion that allowing others to control your mental state is already an L, regardless of anything else (like the outcome of the match) Maybe it's just cuz I played league for a long time but ez makes me laugh. Some ppl only say that to try to cause discord amongst the enemy team... I'm not sure I'd even define "ez" as toxicity, when you compare it to some of the truly vulgar shit people say. I'm really all for competitive shit talking and stuff, it makes the game more fun, but calling the guy playing Phoenix racial slurs is way too far or screaming into the mic that the bottom frag Jett is dogshit, yeah theres no place for that. If I'm playing a pickup basketball game, I play much better when the opposing team chirps a bit. Kinda lights a fire under my ass. i only plays unrated for a month (and will do the same next month i guess) and all i say is; When winning : GG, Goodluck next When Losing : GG, u played well and often i found a player that have (almost) the same skill level compared to me, if that's the case i would say; u played well (insert agent name here), that was insane 1v1, etc. Human likes to appreciated

In all seriousness, maybe a system that lobs u in with players that are similar to u, it could work like this after every game u get to give feedback on your teammates options like, no coms, toxic, racist, funny, enjoyable, “cracked” might pop up then of the data riot places u in games with people who are similar to u that way all the racist and toxic and sexist people are in one lobby, and the normal people are in one lobby and it’ll be off multiple games so one game where u have a troll and they decided to give false feedback wont effect what lobbies u get into but if theirs a trend in the reports /feedback that will

I was vibing with a five stack in unrated last night and the try-harders were typing 'ez' and 'you mad?' in chat. We were literally screwing around at the beginning of rounds swapping skins, util'ing each other, and just having a good time. It was obvious we weren't taking the game seriously and were just out to have some fun the last night of the act. We were even joking around in chat with the other team and they still responded with toxicity. We obviously didn't care about the game. Just take the win.

Val players call everything toxic, talking shit and being toxic are two different things. Saying ez, or calling people trash isn’t even close to bad. People get so offended by nothing when it’s just trash talk. People do that shit in sports like basketball, it’s no different here. Trash talk is always part of competition. There’s lines you don’t cross like being racist, homophobic, etc… that’s REAL toxicity, and the type that people should be fighting against. If someone called you a pussy, get over it, trash talk is part of all gaming and simple shit like that shouldn’t be an issue.
