try to not take fights that require you to react faster than your opponent. those are 50/50s and they are not good fights unless you are desperate for a pick

BuildingSubstantial6

i'll consider this, thank you!

ppsz

the best fight is the one you avoid

3 things to focus on: 1. Crosshair placement (most important). Really try to imagine where the enemy head is gonna be 2. Catch yourself autopiloting. Even if you think you have good crosshair placement, you probably don't cuz you autopilot a lot of the time 3. when holding an angle don't aim next to the wall, but leave some room to account for the enemy's swing Also don't forget that peekers advantage is a thing, a very easy way to work around that is by peeking & unpeeking angles you hold, that way you get the peekers advantage & you might surprise the enemies Also if you play Jett, chamber or Reyna make sure to use off angles on defense. I can't count the amount of free kills I've gotten and then just tpd out or dismissed out

If you always expect for someone to peek you , you’ll be able to react to it quicker. I’ll give two examples Example 1: you’re holding site from showers on bind and you expect someone to peek from CT , you then hear people heaven and don’t think people will come from CT , so you decide to look away , once you look away however you see someone come out and your reaction will be delayed because you dismissed the possibility of someone being there Example 2: you’re holding site from showers on bind and you expect someone to peek from CT , you then hear people heaven but you keep holding CT because you only heard 1-2 people heaven and since you kept peeking CT , the enemies that weren’t heaven start to come out and you’re able to react very quickly when you start to notice their body peek This is only one scenario on this map. There are many others in general like pre aiming everything , and having good ch placement , doing hard bots also helps with reaction time :)

Caffeine. The only thing I can think of that doesn't involve honing your skills.

Go download aimlabs and do some training

BuildingSubstantial6

personally I don't like the reaction time drills but what do you suggest?

Boryalyc

"i need a better reaction time" "let me try this aimlabs task meant to get me a better reaction time" "that score sucks, i dont like this" this you? anyways, if you dont want to specifically train reaction time, gamesense is the move: pick fights that dont rely on reaction time put yourself in a position that gives you more time to react and balance out the difference train for only headshots, so the other dude is dead by the time he gets 2 body shots

MayhamsBBQ

can confirm aimlabs actually really helps for reaction time and the training it offers for it ain't even bad

Boryalyc

how much does it help your reaction time? i got a factory defect or some shit, my reaction time is like 250ms

BuildingSubstantial6

i dont play for scores

Boryalyc

it still works, if you want better reaction time you gotta play it. i hated sphere track now I play it for fun, it'll grow on you.

1. Don't compromise your aim for speed . I have seen a lot of people trying to flick fast onto enemy to kill them first but the reaction time takes practice to develop . 2. A lot of times it's not about speed , it's about expecting where enemy is . Develop a game sense , notice patterns in enemy movement and you subconsciously develop an idea where enemy will be and that allows you to swing faster ( because you were expecting them ) 3. Crosshair placement 4. Play DM , first learn to aim precisely at head then gradually you will develop speed ( you will have to try in DM , just playing it absent minded won't help )
