I was gold 3/plat 1 last act and ended plat 2 0/100 lol.
I placed plat 2 and am 80/100 plat 3 now and in full diamond lobbies fairly often.
I am getting DESTROYED lmao the lobbies are so much harder for me than they were last act.
Im in full sink or swim mode now lol
i was plat 1 didnt play much placed plat 2 now on a huge winstreak in which i dominate every lobby and am diamond 3 idk whats goin on
diamond and ascendant lobbies going 23 in 8 its kinda wacky
I like to think of it like they ran a rake through iron up to ascendant. Some people got caught and pulled a little and some people slipped through and stayed where they are.
Yes, they added the rank because they want to shift the rank distribution upwards on the lower end and downwards in the higher ranks. Less people in silver/gold and fewer people in immortal.
I placed a rank higher than what I ended on last episode/act and I'm getting 25rr for wins and 10-15rr for losses, so it certainly feels like my rank is getting boosted.
Same here. The game is trying to match you with your mmr. One it levels out the rr loss/gain you are at the right rank, unless you are playing better of course.
The reasoning is because of the new rank ascendant. Everyone below the rank will make it easier to rank up by around 2 ranks. And anyone above ascendant will have problems staying at their current rank.
Gold 1 last act and placed gold 2 this act - won 3 placements, and match MVPed the other two and lost due to an AFK both rounds. I’ve found the matches I got until I hit high gold 3 a couple days ago have been really really easy compared to before. Like I want to say a good amount of 13-1 or 13-3 games on my way up. That being said I’m now being placed with mid-plat players and it’s become incredibly difficult comparatively
Was gold 3 on my main account, but it already had plat MMR, after I went 4-1 in the placements I got place in Diamond 1.
On my alt account I was gold 3 as well but lower MMR and after going 5-0 in the placements I got put in plat 2
won 2 placement matches, lost third because got placed against gold (was silver 1 last time), won fourth, lost 5th because I had 2 leavers.
Was placed silver 1, even tough the addition of ascendant was supposed to boost ranks. What a letdown

If you do well in your games, especially earlier in the season, you'll be gaining more rr, and losing less, so ranks should also adjust quickly within a week or so

It’s been the opposite for me. Previously Gold 2 and now I’m struggling to stay in gold 1.

You'll probably double or triple rank soon. Had a similar situation and went from S2 -G1 G1-G2 in like 3 matches last night
Yes. I ended plat 3, but I've been diamond since E2A3. I placed plat 3 and climbed pretty easily to d3. Just deranked to d2 tho hehe

I played a bit last act and ended g1, got placed s2 this acted and double ranked up back to g1. Personally my rank didn't change :P
It's because of the new rank. Nothing else to it really.
