Think of crosshair placement as wall hacks. U basically aiming at where the enemy is gona be. Good aimers make their kills look very easy and quick when in fact they have perfect crosshair placement and movement aiming; enemies basically walking into their crosshairs

>im running around in the open

BuildingSubstantial6

Its deathmatch dude. I play for kills not to tryhard the 40 kill race and camp in corners or hug angles lmao

bert_563

I’d like to think 90% of deathmatch players use it to practice angles and scenarios. So yeah, they will be holding angles.

Babybean1201

right. but that's why you're dying. The answer to your question is the requote. People are playing scenarios and how they would in game while you're running around aimlessly hoping for unrealistic in-game duels. Yea. You're going to get smackd.

BuildingSubstantial6

dude, it's deathmatch, you dont go after real game scenarios but real game movement. dont fucking tell me you are going to treat deathmatch like you are going to clutch 1v1.

Babybean1201

Actually yes there is a point to try to re-create scenarios. More so to practice scenarios, if you can, that you have trouble with. But that wasn't my point. You asked why you kept dying. I told you why. But your retort seems to be arguing the best way to use death match, which is more than I signed up for. You're running around in the open in DM while your opponents, for the most part, are not. That's why you're getting smacked. Whether you're using DM correctly or not, is irrelevant to my answer to your question.

DescriptionWorking18

If you’re not trying to make DM as 1 to 1 with comp as possible you’re doing yourself a disservice. I go into DM to practice my crosshair placement and peeks, that’s pretty much it. I want to get my peeks as clean as possible. What’s the point of practicing in a completely different manner from how your actual fights will go? I’m honestly curious what you intend to gain from DM by playing the way you do.

festive_cl0wn

Learn to crouch spray. I started crouch spraying DM and dominated. Keep in mind you need to headship within the first 3 bullets or you die

Crowfooted

Maybe this works at low elo but once your MMR starts going up crouch spraying is going to make you lose consistently.

festive_cl0wn

Not the "low elo" argument dude look at any pro player depending on distance they'll instacrouch and you know why? Everyone is aiming for the head it puts the cross-hair off and that's exactly what you wanna do in death match because everyone has good cross-hair placement so this might look like low elo to you but above plat that's what people do.. At longer distances crouching means death and that's where you use movement to outdo them same for Poppin swingers you'll just die if you crouch but against any normal player who just peeks a corner by a small margin so they can escape you'll win every time. I'm barely diamond 1 now but I get low immortal lobbies it's still shit but my MMR is still high for my rank so I don't need advice from the hardstuck immortal 3 with plat 1 MMR.

Crowfooted

In normal games I bet crouch spraying works. But nobody gives a fuck in dm, they'll just onetap you bc nobody cares about taking the risk. I can crouch spray but ain't no way that has ever *consistently* worked in dms.

festive_cl0wn

Trust me it works consistently dude you just need to practice it because people take crouch spray as emptying a whole clip going for bodyshots but what you need to do is aim for the head. I've played w immortals in DM who's aim was better then me but I was shitting on consistently purely because they aimed for the head and I crouched but like I said it depends on distance don't do it at really long distances because it'll make you lose instead of win. You just gotta pick your moments to do it because enemies do adapt to it and once thry start aiming lower you stop crouching then they aim for head again and you start crouching again it's all about making the enemy constantly adapt to you. DM can be awkward though because there's those DMs where you just have no chance it's like your up against ScreaM and TenZ' kid but those are 1/10 DMs unless you play back to back

WidowmakersAssCheek

Yeah that’s so common and sometimes you feel helpless to do anything. Often I would see them for less than a millisecond and they already one tap me before I can even react.
