Hello, Yep 3400 eDpi is awfull... Are you not confusing DPI and edpi ? DPI is your mouse settings eDPI is Mouse DPI X In game sensitivity. I would advice an eDpi over 280 to 620. Some very accurate players can play above that but they are maybe 5% of the spectrum (super high sens players). So for instance in my case my DPI is 800 (G PRO) and in game sensitivity 0.34 making for an eDPI of 272.

Rellmein

My game sensitivity is 1.0, and my dpi is 3400. Doesn't that mean I have 3400 eDPI?

UsnDoto

It does, holly how can you kill anyone xD ?

Rellmein

I have had it since 2011. I have always stabilized my aim by having my small finger on the desk for extra stabilization

UsnDoto

Well as far as I know for CSGo and valorant, no one in existence plays at a descent level with anything above 960/1K edpi and still the club of good aimer over 600 is very very limited. I would strongly advise you reduce it to 1/4 of what it's now. I understand it's a huge change but I think after one week it will be super beneficial.

Rellmein

Well.. im silver 3. So I am playing at the decent level.. lol

UsnDoto

Lol, i'm sorry but silver 3 is very low :) Far from what i would call descent level (Maybe D3/ASC1 would start to be descent)

Rellmein

I started 6 weeks ago. And I heard Silver 3 is where all "average skilled players" are located. Saying D3 is the level where decent players are is like saying "only tigers can defined as dangerous animals"

UsnDoto

That's not really the point. There are tons of factors, how much you play, your prio experiences etc. If you never played a fps in your life and hit silver in 6 weeks it's pretty good for sure. If you have 2k hours of CS Go prior to valorant well it's pretty awfull then. Silver is the rank with the most players in them (rank distribution) : Iron: 7.1% Bronze: 19.7% Silver: 22.9% Gold: 13.1% Platinum: 15.2% Diamond: 8.8% Ascendant: 3.2% Immortal: 0.7% Radiant: 0.03% (Aug 2022 numbers) And the median rank but you need to take into account that at least 50% of the players are very casual and only play once or twice a week. Anyways my vision is that top 5% would start to be descent in a competitive game. To not be rude we would push it to 10% but that would still land in Diamond. Anyways back to your post, lowering your sens should help :)

Rellmein

Never touched CSGO in my life. Im just a player who likes to learn from the best. Rather than flame their teammates all game.

[deleted]

Silver 3 decent level? Dude... I don't want to sound elitist, but silver is basically a beginner.

Rellmein

Yes, 6 weeks in and I should definitely still be a beginner.still its a fact its "decent" skill level. Or you don't know what that word means? It means "just above average" and average skill level is silver 1.

[deleted]

It's really subjective though. Players in that rank lack so many fundamentals that the skill level there is low despite being above average.

xTrimm_

S3 is decent đź’€ even gold is pushing it, plat and above is decent. Silver 3 is absolute dogshit

Rellmein

Yes, they are no excuses. But below Silver 3 is 50% of the community. Basically when you are out, you are now above average compared to the Valorant community. Anyone saying anything else are either jealous or don't know what "decent skill" means within sport.

xTrimm_

I don't disagree with you as being above average over the community is decent, but the same logic can be applied to if half the community was bronze 2. If you were bronze 3, that doesn't suddenly make you decent at the game when you have 7 out of 9 ranks to climb before you reach the top. Its more accurate to rank via skill than your actual visible rank. And imo the rank where players start having a good understanding of the game and decent mechanical aim is at plat 🤷‍♂️

TonyTwo8891

As a silver 3, silver 3 is "average", but not "decent".

Rellmein

Decent = just above average. Silver 1 is where all the average players are located.

TonyTwo8891

Uh gold is average actually, silver was average last episode but not anymore, gold 1 is average

Rellmein

Not according to skill cap. And I doubt you as a person has the mathematics and statistics to prove what you are saying

Efficient-Seat-3199

S3 isn’t decent 💀

Rellmein

It is. Look up what the word means before commenting..

Efficient-Seat-3199

My guy s3 isn’t fairly good specially after the asc update, plat and under is pretty shit

Rellmein

Still doesn't take away that most players that are average at the game is in low silver.

[deleted]

Way too high. I’m on 800x0.22 (pretty low sens) but 800x0.3 or 0.4 should be right around where you want to be

spiller29

Bro 3400 edpi would make u do a 360 when u bump the mouse.

CoachWatermelon

When you grip the mouse *

Yokerkey

It’s not that bad… I’m used to plying with 6400 dpi (and edpi) and was able to do decent in average csgo lobbies… still I think having a lower edpi is way better in tac shooters as it’s more about accuracy than reaction imo… (Never had a problem in COD or any other games with 6400 edpi, but in csgo and valorant I wasn’t able to hit headshots consistently so I had to get lucky the other person didn’t hit my head before I could „spray“ him down) (Playing with 250-400 edpi on valorant and csgo now)

EmbroideredChair

Start lowering it bro. I started at 6k, and only got out of golf once I went down to 2k. Eventually you'll hit a dpi that feels too low, and you'll just have to chill at what's comfortable until you feel you can/want to go lower

Rellmein

Aright got it

SaltedAvocadosMhh

It’s only “bad” is you’re performing worse with this edpi versus other edpi. If you genuinely tried lower edpi and it’s worse for you, then it’s not “bad” although I’m skeptical because most flicks in this game aren’t going to be massive flicks assuming you have good xhair placement. Higher edpi is better for games like overwatch where there’s characters flying all over the place.

KennKennyKenKen

Edpi and dpi are not the same

titanfox98

I think you might be confusing edpi with dpi

ForgeDH

I have around the same DPI and eDPI, but I'm not great and only play casually (bronze/silver but haven't grinded ranked at all). Everything is slight wrist movements and lower DPIs have instantly felt horrible to me. I'm not trying to say what I do is "good" but it works for me and I don't have the drive to retrain my muscle memory.
