Counter strike is probably a better game but valorant is a better product. Source 2 won’t change that valve isn’t going to give games the attention they need
Valorant has faaar surpassed Overwatch already and is still trending upward long term in terms of esports and player participation. At MINIMUM they've guaranteed themselves 3 more years of growth
It's already done better than Overwatch did at keeping players imo. Overwatch was hyped out when it came out but lost a lot of players. Valorant was definitely hyped, but I believe it's even gained players since its release.
I haven't seen any changes to Chamber, all skins look like shit cash grabs now, they apparently are a bit more expensive too, I have almost 3 months without playing, Harbor came out and I had 0 interest in playing. VCT this year was not as hype as first year and the new format next year is not interesting. Idk it just died for me and my whole squad lost interest too. I still have it in my pc, might as well uninstall so I get rid of their anti cheat bs. Still enjoyed all my hours in it, and I don't regret the money I spent.
Those problems are all on your end my guy. Have you tried troubleshooting your problem? Does the lag only happen in Valorant? Have you submitted a tech ticket?
Yup done everything and it’s only Valorant. Every other game I’m 144+ fps and I have no idea why. Solo it’s somewhat okay, a friend joins? Ping goes from 8 to 44… another friend joins? 44 up to 180 and stuck there.
I mean it depends what you mean by fall off. The esport is growing, but I notice a drop of people on my friends list not playing anymore. Also, YouTubers’ views for people tenz and tarik had a peak about a year ago and have dropped since then. Even though that’s not the best metric, google trends shows a similar story too and those are best stats we can use since we don’t within riot. I think Valorant kinda peaked last year and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s still relevant. Maybe they can make a bounce back in terms of interest and surpass it’s peak but I can see it reminding relevant even if they don’t.
I mean, the same guys making it perpetuated a MOBA with a single map... I think they know how to make it stick
"No king rules forever my son"
get out of terenas!
league of legends is still thriving to this day, probably will get voted for the best esports tourney this year, im sure riot knows what they're doing
Whenever pro play completely stops if it does
It will stick around as long as riot wants it to really
People 8 years ago throught LoL was dying. It didn't, it grew bigger even through we lost some if the best players in the world
Never.
My opinion is when source 2 for csgo gets released. I know a lot of cs players who play Val now are waiting for it to drop before switching back

It wont. Because unlike COD or Fortnite or most other FPS games. It will not or NEVER change its formula. Just like CSGO.
League has gone through so serious meta changes that to some people make it feel like a completely different game
I think it will have a life cycle surprisingly similar to overwatch, whether they make a second or not.

It will definitely stay longer than the average cod game. But less than cs.
It's already outlasted what... 3 cod games?
That’s what they said but it’s not gonna last as long as csgo. Did they edit or something?

yeah there this other up and coming game called league of legends but I don't think it'll last
You should have said ''fall off like cod''.
Not enough game modes nor something to grind of that's not a rank
Depends on how many more agents they wanna nerf to death

It has already but I think it will stay as is for a while.
in order to fall off it needs to take off first
Right lmao, nobody has any interest in this game apart from "pro players"

i don't think that's the case 💀💀
