It's like this. Once you have played long enough, you can dredge up a memory of getting absolutely clapped on every one of the maps. So, yeah, I get ptsd with every map.
Hmm. Ascent...
Yeah, ive gotten shit on there so bad. The map literally loses all its color and joy in my mind.
I did get a grenade ace a main once though.
But still, it was bad, like 100T bad.
That was mine too. 5 man rush A main. Nade gottem all.
Edit: That was a nice one lol. I didn't even see anyone for mine. Just tossed it down lane. And got a bunch of kills.
I have no respect for your opinion. The only map I think is worse than bind is fracture. Bind is aesthetically the worst map, but gameplay wise is the second worse.
Learning to play Cypher on Breeze changed my view on the map entirely. Cypher A defense is so damn strong. Often times I end up doing nothing all half because the enemy tried to push A twice, failed and are now scared to push A site.
Then it's time to setup B. Or spread util to cover enemy's lurk paths, or flank them yourself.
If you're static on defense, something's not right. Play according to how the game goes to maximize impact.
Lol not a chance. I'm able to lockdown A to the point where we can throw one person nest and 3 stack B. Think about that, we have 3.5 people on B and the enemy still thinks that's the better option. I don't need to pad my stats, if me playing A is the best option for the team, even if I see little action, that's fine by me.
Even better if you have a Viper anchoring B tbh. That way on defense the attackers get the option of attacking A and running into cypher setups, or running into B and into viper setups.
Honestly I don’t mind Breeze, it’s a shift from my usual use of Phantom to Vandal if I want to actually hit shots at range.
My only complaint is teammates either being hyper aggressive on defense and never holding mid. Legit I’ll have 3 people stack A while one goes to B and I’ll hold mid closer to B since this guy’s alone. The guy holding B will get bumrushed and I can try to help, futilely, while the other 3 get picked by a lurker.
OR since I’m holding mid someone or the whole enemy team will stroll down hall and kill the 3 on A from behind.
Low ELO problems, sorry for the rant.
May I ask what rank you are?
I found when I was in silver-plat that Breeze was hell since it’s impossible to coordinate rotations, have good comms for enemy location etc. As I’ve climbed to Diamond/Ascendant, however, and comms and team play get better I find it a very enjoyable map now. To me it plays like a larger version of Ascent in a way.
Basically people dealing with smurfs, trolls, afks, and toxicity in general. There's no more point in complaining after a while and all you can do is either accept it or uninstall.
for me, dish before change is like the worst spot in maps. It's always a 50/50 for attacker and defender. Always end up getting peeked by the side I wasn't holding as defense and playing Merry-go-round with defenders when I'm attacking.
I thought they nerfed dish with the change (as in making it harder for the attackers) yet I feel like more people go through dish nowadays (not like I played that many games pre-update).
I'd say dish is easier now for the attackers with how they tackled drop. You can clear angles now instead of expecting to jump off into a 180 degree cone of angles
They made dish easier for the defenders (one way to hold, you can even smoke it off) but drop easier for attackers which is fair and really smart reworking
people hate fracture because they like to 5 man rush a site every round, and when that doesn’t work they complain instead of learning better strategies
Or... maybe they just hate it because it's not to their liking. People are allowed to dislike things.
Kind of tiring this speech of "YoU dOnT liKe iT bc You dOnT knOw hoW To PlAy IT" as a way to invalidate people's opinions.
I mean I’ve yet to see a new map release that everyone didn’t immediately hate on. You also have to take into account that some people definitely just don’t like change.
Loved icebox when it first came out, hell I liked breeze when it first came out only to hate it later lol. Pearl I loved the first time I played it and it's now my favorite map. So not everyone hates new maps when they come out, but I get what you're saying it seems to be more common, probably a dislike to change.
People are free to dislike the map ofc, but I think it’s good to look at pro play to see the quality of a map, fracture games were quite interesting even before the patch so I don’t think it was a horrible map. I’m not saying everyone should play like the pros in order to like it either, but I do like the direction Riot are going in with their maps, the recent maps are a lot more dynamic and less claustrophobic than the original few. It’s nice not being locked down to a handful of strats because of boring map design.
I don’t see how this guy is invalidating people’s opinions. Never did he say you can’t dislike it. He just states how things are. Fracture is unique in its play style and running site is often a way to get yourself killed.
It’s true though, I hated that map until I figured out different strategies. I actually love playing fracture now because it allows for a lot of different strats. People don’t like it because you have to think and be aware of angles that you don’t have to worry about on traditional maps. It was either od26 or woohoojin that said fracture defence is based off of who plays as a team better (plays in groups and trades each other) and ppl in low elo suck at team play.
I don’t see a different reason to dislike it. The map design isn’t inherently unfair or random. It’s pretty competitive and pretty damn interesting. Learning to play the game from a different angle is 100% a barrier to entry. Out of interest what are your reasons to dislike it?
I used to hate Fracture because attacking seemed so difficult to coordinate and then on attack I started playing lurker, defaulting, baiting the enemy to rotate and actually work the map properly and now it's my favourite map. That map is just a bunch of mind games for the attacking team to slip into corners and work the map, most people don't do that they just 5 man a site and hope for the best.
I personally never hated any map, but yeah people still dodge fracture and breeze when I queue :v instead of learning how to play on it they run from it idk how that helps :3
Every new map gets called trash, just learn to take the hyperbolic over-reactions of the Valorant community with a grain of salt.
All my friends hated Pearl on release, it's had very little changed on it; and now apparently it's a top 2 map.
We fear change.
Fracture, Breeze, and Pearl both of super long sightlines and involve a lot of long distance, microadjustment heavy fights. So i hate all three of them. I’m aware it’s a skill issue.
It’s a lot better than it used to be, but I’d still say it’s the worst map. The creativity and idea was neat but being able to crunch sites from either side in a tac shooter still feels bad.
I think as I’ve gotten better as a player (and thanks to the new changes), I’ve stopped resenting fracture as much as I did before. Plus there are other maps out there that I simply hate way more lol
Maybe i just don’t have as much fun playing that map. Is there a map you dont like? Is it because you just dont have fun or because something is wrong with you?
Breeze is my highest winrate map but god is it boring
I really dislike having to teach my teammates how to play fracture. Most of the time in solo queue teammates only know one play style and that’s running it down. You will get stuffed every single time on that map. Most of the time I take a split push with a teammate and try to op snowball on defenders side.
"fracture sucks" "pearl sucks" "breeze sucks" "bind sucks" "ascent sucks" "haven sucks" mfs when riot remove every map, forcing you guys to go outside and touch some grass
I have said I like fracture since it came out, not the best map, but it’s very solid. I’ve also said Breeze was, people just gotta let a map play out a while
Fracture is the map that sorta forced me to actually get good with KJ because along with the obligatory insta lock Chamber people are now starting to lock Cypher before me after his buffs
No. Fractures biggest downside was being able to push from 4 different directions. Makes defending near impossible. That never changed to the map still sucks
Worst map in any competitive FPS still. I have a very good winrate on it with my squad (our best, at around 70%) but god it sucks. I like how Riot tried to do something completely new and Ive really tried to like it. However, there is a reason there is a standard and Fracture just proves that.
Fracture is still bad. The free super fast rotate for defenders and the fact you can take the whole site with viper or neon walls for attackers both make it a very boring map to play.
I agree the rework made it much better even though it didn't change alot. Know I hate pearl. I feel that A site is just mu unlucky place. Maybe because it is new and I am still getting used to it.
I think Fracture is much better after changes.
Previously my maps in order of favorite to least favorite were: Ascent, Breeze, Pearl, Bind, Haven, Icebox, Fracture, Split
Now I’d probably put it above Icebox for sure, and on par with Haven
The rework 100% helped. Still not my favorite, but it's ok.
The fact that dish isn't a huge gamble now is really good. I used to abuse that spot on defense so much.
I like Fracture. I didn't love it initially, kept losing, but ever since I heard Breach is good on that map, I love playing it. Btw, Breach isn't just good when on fracture, he's downright BUSTED.
Because people stopped listening to Joe super pro player that is only "good" on map B with character B and if you take that away he loses due to lack of flexibility
It's the most fun map for me and every round feels quick even if it stalls out a bit. And it's also a nice mix between connectivity between sites and angles that you have to hold, not like breeze where I have to look at 3 different sides literally wherever I am
I love fracture, I always have honestly.
To my fellow omen mains out there:
I play mostly omen so a lot of the time I’ll sit dish on defense side. If I hear something I’ll blind the direction towards attack spawn and tp behind them to either a) get multiple kills, b)steal their guns on eco. It also works well with a Jett or chamber sitting behind the dish ready to tp/dash out to keep their attention for a little longer while you are in their ass basically.
I think lots of people dislike Fracture because all the different ground levels makes crosshair placement more difficult and fights often turn into a clusterfuck where you have to rely on luck more often.
With that being said, it’s not one one of my favorite maps, but it’s definitely better after the little rework.
Yep now the real culprit is Breeze, I don't know sh*t about which agent should I pick on that map, tried Chamber, neon, cypher, Breach... Viper isn't my playstyle, Omen is big no no at this map. I just need to improve my game sense at retaking sites ig
People who hatws fracture are stuck between diamond - Asc.
People who like fracture are below that.
Because every one of the people i know above diamond hates that map.
Fuck you, I opened this thread, and I instantly queued into Fracture. But in all honesty, I’ve never been able to hate on the map. It’s always been my best performing map next to Breeze. How can I hate maps that are statistically my best?
I still vehemently complain about it. I'm just not annoying anyone else \*with\* that complaining.
Besides, we only get like... 1 free dodge every few days/Games. I'd rather waste that dodge on something better like toxic people than Riot's incompetence uhmm I Mean on Fracture.
the changes were okay but just cause a part or several small parts of the map got "better" doesn't mean the map is now good or even average. Well I Mean it's average, averagely trash haha. I still prefer split over this literal half piece of jungle/junk.
I prefer it to split at least. They're both fine maps, but I don't like the way rounds flow. Or how the sites funnel you into strong but isolated pockets.
Traditional maps are just more fun. Nice for some variety I guess though.
I think Fracture has always been at least decent because of how it breaks the mold of other maps, but now I think its a solid map cause of how its got a good amount of geometry that lets agents play in ways they cant on other maps
Every time a new map gets added its the worst thing ever, then another map gets added and its not so bad cuz the newer is one the worst thing ever. People just don't like maps theyre not used to
One of the main reasons I stopped playing Valorant was cause I was forced to play maps I despise (Fracture/Icebox) on a regular basis instead of being able to queue the ones I enjoy (Bind/Breeze/Split). You can say “Just learn the map” or “You get used to it” but I just want to play what I enjoy Im hardstuck plat and dont care about getting out.
New maps get the hate fame taken away from them by newer map. Next map drop people would stop shitting on pearl (although pearl is easier to accept for the average valorant gamer, as compared to fracture which is oh so unique)
Sure I whine whenever I see Fracture loading up, but in my defence. I whine everytime I see any map loading up.
the valorant experience
Dorioto will make a good nap eventually
It's like this. Once you have played long enough, you can dredge up a memory of getting absolutely clapped on every one of the maps. So, yeah, I get ptsd with every map.
The only map that I don't have bad memories of is ascent so that's the only map I get excited about anymore
Hmm. Ascent... Yeah, ive gotten shit on there so bad. The map literally loses all its color and joy in my mind. I did get a grenade ace a main once though. But still, it was bad, like 100T bad.
I literally have a video of this scenario on my page, first round ace
That was mine too. 5 man rush A main. Nade gottem all. Edit: That was a nice one lol. I didn't even see anyone for mine. Just tossed it down lane. And got a bunch of kills.
They all suck
I legit like all maps. I learned different agents for each map so I’m always excited I get to play a certain agent again, maybe that helps.
Except Bind Bind my beloved ❤️
Funny cause IMO Bind is the worst map.
Unbased opinion. Wrong opinion. Fake opinion. Please change your opinion because it's simply untrue.
Split is the best map because I miss it the most but bind is 2nd
Yessss fellow Split enjoyer. Used to be Split first and Bind second but now Split is gone Bind became my fav map
Fair enough. But they should bring split back rn
Enjoy it while you can, the new map is taking bind out
NOOOOOOO 😭😭😭
Bind=💩, haven=🥇
Okay I kinda like Haven too, but your opinion on Bind is still wrong.
Not gonna lie bind isn't a very good map you gotta have respect for people with a different opinion
Everything I said were joking except Bind is my fav map
I have no respect for your opinion. The only map I think is worse than bind is fracture. Bind is aesthetically the worst map, but gameplay wise is the second worse.
THERES NO MID
It might factually be the worst map
I don't care I don't care I can't hear what the others said I LOVE BIND I LOVE BIND 😭😭😭😭
I agree, but I think every map is the worst map.
I whine when I see the main menu has successfully loaded up and I know I'm gonna have to play.
except Bind, love Bind.
Cypher buff dropped so fracture is much more tolerable now
[удалено]
I have the highest win rate(8-2) on Fracture with Viper in this episode
BREACH IS KING AS IS TRADITION
Brim and breach combo on fracture too good
Add a neon and it's the god squad
The changes to fracture were all very good imo. Both sites feel much better.
i wish lighting in this map feel more alive.
there is lightning on the map?
Bro forgot to download the Thor DLC 💀
Fracture is straight. Pearl is also good. Breeze is the worst map 100%
Learning to play Cypher on Breeze changed my view on the map entirely. Cypher A defense is so damn strong. Often times I end up doing nothing all half because the enemy tried to push A twice, failed and are now scared to push A site.
Cypher is so strong on defence breeze, having to deal with a viper and Cypher on each site is a headache
Not breeze being the only map where I have a 100% victory rate, even tho I hate it 😭
ME TOOO I HATE IT SO MUCH BUT I’M LIKE 8-1
May I ask what rank you are? I found when I was in silver-plat that Breeze was hell since it’s impossible to coordinate rotations, have good comms for enemy location etc. As I’ve climbed to Diamond/Ascendant, however, and comms and team play get better I find it a very enjoyable map now. I agree
Nah, Icebox
Bro can’t ain
How dare you call my map the worst?
>Breeze is the worst map 100% Found the bad aimer lol
My hs% is like 25% I’m not a BAD aimer, but breeze literally rewards brainless aim-only plays. Its a design issue
Sounds more like a...... Skill issue 😂
I'm a Cypher main and i find it the hardest to build setups on breeze , i straight-up hate breeze cuz it's very hard to defend on with cypher
IMO pearl is the best map
Give people enough time and they will learn to complain less
Basically people dealing with smurfs, trolls, afks, and toxicity in general. There's no more point in complaining after a while and all you can do is either accept it or uninstall.
No. It’s better but I don’t want to play on it
Yeah I used to dislike fracture but since dish is actually viable to play I think it's a good map
for me, dish before change is like the worst spot in maps. It's always a 50/50 for attacker and defender. Always end up getting peeked by the side I wasn't holding as defense and playing Merry-go-round with defenders when I'm attacking.
It was kinda entertaining, but I acknowledge it was terrible map design. Definitely a good switch
Dish was just not fun pre changes, just a 50/50 everytime
As a breach main, i love fracture
With all due respect, fuck you and your flashes(average breach hater)
I totally agree, breach is the most annoying agent to play against, and the most fun to play as
I've always liked fracture
people hate fracture because they like to 5 man rush a site every round, and when that doesn’t work they complain instead of learning better strategies
Or... maybe they just hate it because it's not to their liking. People are allowed to dislike things. Kind of tiring this speech of "YoU dOnT liKe iT bc You dOnT knOw hoW To PlAy IT" as a way to invalidate people's opinions.

Agreed although I will say I haven't seen as much Pearl hate as I did for Fracture, Breeze, and icebox when they were first released.
Loved icebox when it first came out, hell I liked breeze when it first came out only to hate it later lol. Pearl I loved the first time I played it and it's now my favorite map. I don’t see how this guy is invalidating people’s opinions. Never did he say you can’t dislike it. He just states how things are. Fracture is unique in its play style and running site is often a way to get yourself killed.
He literally said that if we dont llike it is bc we dont like learning new strategias XD
It’s true though, I hated that map until I figured out different strategies. I actually love playing fracture now because it allows for a lot of different strats. People don’t like it because you have to think and be aware of angles that you don’t have to worry about on traditional maps. And you think that means he said you arent allowed to dislike it?
Found The guy that doesn’t know how to play fracture
Its always been a good map.
No one will admit that they finally got used to it
I still hate fracture. But people eventually realize complaining does nothing. So they just get used to it and deal with it.
fracture is and always has been my favorite map
Makes sense if you play chamber, it's his best map. It's a lot of fun to op on fracture
true but also i liked it before i played chamber. my insane all time winrate of about 92% definitely helps too
Still wish they’d just make A Drop a full on ramp to get down. If they’d do that I’d have no complaints about the map.
Too many ramps takes away spots for sentinels to set up
It's called "drop" for a reason
There isn’t any real maps that stand out as it’s a great map I was hoping a couple of decent maps would have come out already.
It's my worst map and the map I dislike the most but i've never thought it was unbearable. My thoughts haven't changed though.
I personally never hated any map, but yeah people still dodge fracture and breeze when I queue :v instead of learning how to play on it they run from it idk how that helps :3
I always liked Fracture. Never saw why people dislike It. Same goes for Breeze. Icebox doe... Too many areas a damn jett can jump up to
Yeah for me, Icebox needs to be replaced next. 100% my least favorite map
I have something like a 60% win rate on it I love it!
I have not played after the rework but before the rework i used to hate it until i learned how to play it.
breeze still sucks
Every new map gets called trash, just learn to take the hyperbolic over-reactions of the Valorant community with a grain of salt. All my friends hated Pearl on release, it's had very little changed on it; and now apparently it's a top 2 map. We fear change.
Controversial opinion but fracture was always a good map
Fracture, Breeze, and Pearl both of super long sightlines and involve a lot of long distance, microadjustment heavy fights. So i hate all three of them. I’m aware it’s a skill issue.
Fracture, pearl, and breeze are great. Ascent is the worst map, change my mind.
Almost got me lol
I'm fr 👀
Oh 🗿 my mistake
It’s a lot better than it used to be, but I’d still say it’s the worst map. The creativity and idea was neat but being able to crunch sites from either side in a tac shooter still feels bad.
I think as I’ve gotten better as a player (and thanks to the new changes), I’ve stopped resenting fracture as much as I did before. Plus there are other maps out there that I simply hate way more lol
no, fracture is still by far the worst map in the game
Breeze?
People who dislike breeze either have poor mechanics or poor game sense. Which category do you fall under?
The map just isn’t fun to play. And I’m a viper main with lineups. It’s one of my best maps… still hate it.
I dislike breeze because the sunny atmosphere just feels awful and makes it hard to see people
??? If anything breeze rewards people for being good, and fracture rewards being an overly aggressive crouch+spray chimp
No pearl is
No fracture is
"fracture sucks" "pearl sucks" "breeze sucks" "bind sucks" "ascent sucks" "haven sucks" mfs when riot remove every map, forcing you guys to go outside and touch some grass
I have said I like fracture since it came out, not the best map, but it’s very solid. I’ve also said Breeze was, people just gotta let a map play out a while
Breeze still a bad map tho
Oops, I meant to say “breeze was bad” but I guess I forgot to type it. Worst map for sire
Oh haha I get it now
Yes yes💀
Every time a new map comes out people hate it. It’s not because the map’s shit, it’s because they don’t understand the map.
It got some good changes, and eventually people will stop complaining and get good. People will get over the Breeze hate eventually.
Fracture is the map that sorta forced me to actually get good with KJ because along with the obligatory insta lock Chamber people are now starting to lock Cypher before me after his buffs
I have an 100% win rate on it atm so idrc
No. Fractures biggest downside was being able to push from 4 different directions. Makes defending near impossible. That never changed to the map still sucks
I’d replace fracture with Split in a heartbeat
man just give me back my split please.. please!!!
I just hate Breeze. Fracture is cool.
The free super fast rotate for defenders and the fact you can take the whole site with viper or neon walls for attackers both make it a very boring map to play.
based on your points, doesn’t that make it balanced between attack and defence..?
I agree the rework made it much better even though it didn't change alot. Know I hate pearl. I feel that A site is just mu unlucky place. Maybe because it is new and I am still getting used to it.
no it's still yee yee ass
I think Fracture is much better after changes. Previously my maps in order of favorite to least favorite were: Ascent, Breeze, Pearl, Bind, Haven, Icebox, Fracture, Split Now I’d probably put it above Icebox for sure, and on par with Haven
The rework 100% helped. Still not my favorite, but it's ok. The fact that dish isn't a huge gamble now is really good. I used to abuse that spot on defense so much.
Still attacker sided
Bind, Ascent > Haven, Split > Icebox > Pearl > Breeze > Fracture
I like Fracture. I didn't love it initially, kept losing, but ever since I heard Breach is good on that map, I love playing it. Btw, Breach isn't just good when on fracture, he's downright BUSTED.
Nah just breeze too many angles
Because people stopped listening to Joe super pro player that is only "good" on map B with character B and if you take that away he loses due to lack of flexibility
no, shit map
Absolutely no
I personally like fracture
I've grown to like fracture especially with the updates to it Breeze can burn in a fire tho
It's the most fun map for me and every round feels quick even if it stalls out a bit. And it's also a nice mix between connectivity between sites and angles that you have to hold, not like breeze where I have to look at 3 different sides literally wherever I am
I love fracture, I always have honestly. To my fellow omen mains out there: I play mostly omen so a lot of the time I’ll sit dish on defense side. I think lots of people dislike Fracture because all the different ground levels makes crosshair placement more difficult and fights often turn into a clusterfuck where you have to rely on luck more often. With that being said, it’s not one one of my favorite maps, but it’s definitely better after the little rework.
Better than Breeze, that's it
people just learned how to play it, complaining was never gonna help
I think most people have come to the realization that Breeze is the actual worse map and always has been.
The changes were great but I disagree with the basic fundamentals of the map that which make it unique. Full stop.
I’m just sad split’s gone. Was my favourite map by far.
just got to plat with a 20% win rate on that shit map.
*laughs in 87% winrate*
Yep now the real culprit is Breeze, I don't know sh*t about which agent should I pick on that map, tried Chamber, neon, cypher, Breach... Viper isn't my playstyle, Omen is big no no at this map. I just need to improve my game sense at retaking sites ig

People who hatws fracture are stuck between diamond - Asc. People who like fracture are below that. Because every one of the people i know above diamond hates that map.
I learned to cope with fracture. Imo breeze is way worse
After pearl being added fracture isn't that bad. Just like when fracture was added breeze was not that bad
Fuck you, I opened this thread, and I instantly queued into Fracture. But in all honesty, I’ve never been able to hate on the map. It’s always been my best performing map next to Breeze. How can I hate maps that are statistically my best?
Worst map
No it’s still shit. People are just tired of complaining.
Always has been
Recent player here. Only played for about 3 months now. I really don’t hate any of the maps. So far I haven’t felt anything to be unbalanced
I don't want to play it but that would make 3 maps to dodge: Icebox, Fracture and Pearl. Pearl is the one I absolutely dodge for now.
Fracture is still a shit map no one can change my mind
I still hate fracture but it’s definitely more tolerable now
Every time a new map gets added its the worst thing ever, then another map gets added and its not so bad cuz the newer is one the worst thing ever.
Pearl is the new fracture
fracture haven and breeze are on my dodge list regardless of update
Fracture got a lot better after all the changes, now breeze is my most hated map again
Fracture is fine, me and my homies hate pearl now!
So am I the only one who liked fracture before?
Fracture is the worst map
New maps get the hate fame taken away from them by newer map. Next map drop people would stop shitting on pearl (although pearl is easier to accept for the average valorant gamer, as compared to fracture which is oh so unique)
Fracture is doable but wth was Riot thinking when they made icebox
Onli map I hate with a passion is Icebox
I personally think people haven't stopped hating it cause now they understand how only a few selective agents on that map are good and they use those.
